There are only a few hours left for the England - Croatia game to start. It is really one of the games which I've been waiting excitedly for. I see England one step ahead of Croatia in this huge game. They have a really deadly striker like Harry Kane. I think that England will manage to defeat their opponent with a 2-1 score.

England have crazy talents and they could easily win over out of form Croatia. England have wide pool of players and Southgate really have some good options here. They could easily score 2-3 goals while I think Croatia might be having hard time scoring today. I predict 3-0 England to win. It's not only Kane, they have many players whether it be on wing or mid or defence and all are well established players.

In my opinion, this is a very irresponsible decision to organize a football tournament in the midst of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.  There are big risks that both football players and football fans will be infected with the coronavirus ...
They are aware of the pandemic and initially cancelled the tournament when it was meant to be held, reason why 'EURO 2020' is being played in 2021. They also organized it as best as possible to reduce movement of people and players. So, it's being played across 11 different countries, rather than just 1 and players are being constantly tested. Fans were also only permitted back into stadiums when it became safe for that.

About the England - Croatia game; despite the overwhelming odds in favour of England, I'll call that game 50-50. Croatia used to the dark horses in major tournaments, but they are slowly coming together into a formidable team that can defeat any other European team. England boosts of a lot of stars and are major contenders for the title. I expect a very interesting game.

Even though England are shown as favourites, I think Croatia can score points from the match. In this match, in my opinion, the draw outweighs. I bet on England or a draw.

In the other match in Group D, Scotland will face Czechia. I think England and Croatia will take the first two places in this group.

Austria, in my opinion, has a better chance of beating North Macedonia.  Also in a pair (Netherlands - Ukraine), the Ukrainian team is more likely to win.

I would like to wish Christian Eriksen a speedy recovery!
I think the organising committee of the Euro has been patient and has acted with respect to the presence of the corona pandemic, but the world of football games has to still go on, nevertheless am such their were strong safety precautions, rules, from the organizers to the players, staffs and fans.
I think the playing of the Euro 2020 in 2021 June is a good point for the organizers to prove they thought about the pandemic in the world.

I felt very sorry for the Danish player Christian Eriksen in yesterday's game. I was praying when they did Heart massage. I read that he is in very good health now. Our prayers are still with him.

Denmark wanted to win the Finland game yesterday and give it to him as a gift, but they couldn't win. Despite  the dominant game, they could not find the goal.
The Finns made a splash yesterday, but it was a bad day for Denmark. A lot of shots on goal, but the ball did not fly into the goal of Finland, even a penalty wasn't scored. Also, the situation with Eriksen made its own adjustments to the game. But for Denmark nothing has been lost yet, need to get together and play further. Finland is also great, they have achieved the maximum result.

A great result for Finland.  Denmark was unlucky. I think they couldn't concentrate on the game after Eriksen. The penalty kick was too weak. A Denmark in a good day can beat any team in the group.
The traumatic experience yesterday left the team emotionally finished. They lack the concentration and couldn’t play the game with such feelings. On a normal day, Denmark would have won Finland.

Joao Cancelo has been found positive for Covid and now Portugual is in trouble with the mass testing.

Cancello will skip all the group stages and maybe more depend on how severe is his Covid.
They are not only in trouble cause other players could have contacted the virus from Cancelo, but losing Joao for the entire group stage is indeed a big loss for Portugal, Cancelo had a good season with Manchester City, and was looking to build on that and shine in the EURO tournament, but it is what it is, and I really feel sorry for him, and wish him and Eriksen quick recovery.

Of course the events of yesterday is going to have a negative psychological effect on the players, though it can also work in their favor cause if Eriksen recovers quickly, though I doubt he'll be able to play in the tournament again, especially for precautionary reasons, then the players can keep trying to win games for him.

today i'm really curious how the netherlands will present themselves at this european championship. the last big tournaments weren't so successful for the dutch team.
there were only stars in the team. but back then, the stars only wanted to present themselves on the pitch. they played for themselves and not for the team.
i'm really curious whether coach Frank de Boer has adjusted the team well and all the players are giving their best.
the dutch are probably the favourites today. but the ukraine is very strong this year. it will definitely be a very interesting game today.

PS:  i hope christian eriksen is fully recovered soon .this is much more important than all the football games in the world

All thanks to the Denmark captain Kjaer Simon. He made sure Christian Eriksen didn't swallow his tongue when he was unconscious, told  the team to form a protective wall around him so the cameras won't see, started CPR, Consoled Eriksen’s wife and led his team back into the game. I think the Denmark captain Simon Kjaer is a true Hero with no 🧢.

What happened to Eriksen yesterday is very sad. I, who watched the match for a moment, immediately looked for information on social media regarding the latest conditions. Thankfully Eriksen can still be saved, according to the latest news I read this morning, his condition has stabilized. GWS Eriksen.

Denmark's gameplay has completely disappointed me. They could not score a single goal with 22 shots, while Finland managed to score only one goal with 1 shot. Finland played defensively, and Finland's goalkeeper performed exceptionally well. Denmark could not score a single goal just because of Hradecky's great saves.
They created a lot of chances and they dominated they game i think the turning point was erikson injury which in the second half made denmark team lose focus conceiding a goal and to prove that they even missed a penalty which couldve gotten them back in the game.

I also think England will take the win, they are too talented and being tournament favourites.

Modern football is not how talented a team is or how many talented players a team has, an average team with great teamwork can win a team full of star players with individual play,  England have what it takes to win this game but what makes Croatia unpredictable is their high teamwork rate, they do not have a star player, they have a complete team with one goal and that was the same goal that took them to the worldcup final years ago.

It's definitely true that teamwork is under-rated. When people try to evaluate the strength of a team, they look at the combined talents of all the individual players... but the key is how well those parts all fit together into a balanced side, which is not something you can see easily simply by looking at the team sheet.
When it comes to big stage competition English team don't seem to perform well despite the fact that EPL is a very competitive and one of the best league in the world, even though they reach semi-final in the last world cup they are lucky to play weaker teams, I believed Croatian will give them a run of their money in today's match, being the runner up in the last  world cup, Croatian have quality players and shouldn't be underrated and they have in-form as well as talented players like Modric,  Kovacic etc

This is my first post in this thread, I dont watch Soccer regularly but I do take interest
in the big tournaments.

It turns out that the condition of the Danish player Eriksen is stable now which is good news.
Didn't have time to watch this match either, was it called off after what happened to Christian Eriksen??

For todays games:

I also think England will take the win, they are too talented and being tournament favourites.

Austria v North Mecedonia - wouldnt be able to call that one.

Netherlands v Ukraine - interesting one, I would like to think The Netherlands would win,
but I have to do some research before placing a potential bet.
England is expected to win but should their heads but out of the game a draw is possible here.

Austria v North Mecedonia- tight match to call but I see Austria winning this one

Netherlands v Ukraine-i enjoy how both teams play and I see this to be 50/50 ,could go either way but Netherlands 🇳🇱is expected to win this one.

Mate! The market odds for Croatia is very promising I'm going for Asin handicap +1.5 for Croatia to win

We get a bit of soccer action today with the England-Croatia, a match that I am eagerly anticipating.  Cheesy
Here's a little history (I found this interesting statistics on Twitter):

2004: #ENG eliminates #CRO from EURO 2004
2007: #CRO eliminates #ENG from qualifying to EURO 08
2009: #ENG eliminates #CRO from qualifying to WC 10
2018: #CRO eliminates #ENG from WC 18
2018: #ENG eliminates #CRO from Nations League
2021: Is it #CRO's turn now?

Head2head matters but I'm not a huge fan of it, I stake my games based on current form of a team and weakness of the opponent team, going by statistics the players we have in the national team are not the same set of players we have 4 years ago, statistics does not matter in today's game

What happened to Christian Eriksen yesterday has been quite touching. Today we expect an official statement on the midfielder's condition by Denmark. In the meantime, the Danish federation has cancelled the training session scheduled today at the Helsingor sports center at 12 pm and the afternoon press conference.
I think they want to take it easy and avoid some unnecessary pressure for their players.
