In the end it is an own goal to crack open Turkey. Italy has been good whole game and I expect them to score another goal soon and then kill the game. They are in total control but 1:0 is the result that can always be nullified with one stray shot.

Turkey is playing as weak as expected.

The first half is almost over. So far, not the Italy that I expected. Italy is slowly getting better, but Insigne and Chiellini had a great chance to bring Italy in lead. Both failed.
The Italy fear factor is gone the guys were just running around the Turkey half doing nothing meaningful for the whole 45 mins of okay.... I want to see Emerson on in the second half to help push from the LB to break from the cutting edge. Turkey is playing as weak as expected.

It's halftime already.
It's been all Italy over the first 45 minutes, they players just lacked the cutting edge. Insigne with a couple of chances but they're not converting any of the chances.
I'd agree that Italy will eventually find a breakthrough in the 2nd half, provided they're able to keep the pressure on the Turkey's defense.

Wow didnt expect chiesa to be on the bench but left and right backs are offensive in todays match. Some other tactics from the italian manager. Expecting lots of goals in this match.Both teams are really offensive

Finally the wait is over, I'm pretty excited about Euro 2020 even though we had to wait one more year. I don't have a favorite now, there are too many candidates, also some teams have potential to do a surprise. I wish we watch great matches, opening game is more excited for me because Türkiye will play. Anything can happen in this match. Both teams have strong defenders, Chiellini - Bonucci and Merih - Çağlar, top class defense. We might see less goals with controlled game by both teams.

I think the Italian team has no shortage of quality players although this team and the dream team that won their most recent world cup, can prove that Italian national football has been dropping for sometime now,
In football nothing should be unexpected, Chelsea are the champions of Euro, that wasn't in my expectations, but now rightly Italy will not be number one team in my expectations to win the Euro's and so is it with other people's expectations, another reason that there is a drop in Italy football, but these players are gifted I think if they manage their abilities, resources and skills they may just do it, I predict a win for Italy tonight against Turkey.

I knew that Germany wasn't very strong.
But after all it's worse than I thought! Having to resort to Markel to reinforce the squad is a sign that the team is really bad...
But what I do know is that Germany and England have a much greater advantage than the other teams, as they play almost every game at home, while the others have to spend hours on planes. This is UEFA at its best...

I agree with you, they are candidate who might go further to reach the final. Turkey who is Italy's first opponent in the group I don't think will win today, Italy is a difficult opponent for Turkey. I am guessing Italy 1:0 Turkey tonight，to be honest，i don't know much about either team.
In the final i guess it's France vs Portugal again, but this time the winner is France. Because this time France has Benzema，haha.

I've gone for 1-0 to Italy. Could see Italy getting a couple though. I've also backed France and Portugal in the final. Anything can happen though. Belgium are the best on paper but usually underperform. Italy have by far the strongest squad.
Did you guys see the qoulity and value of players French team left at home? Here it goes if you did not:
Meslier - Theo Hernandez, Upamecano, Konate, Mendy - Camavinga, Ndombele, Aouar - Ikone, Lacazette, Martial
They were my favorites since Benzema comeback but now I know why most people considers them as strongest team. Nobody else has that many quality players at all positions at the moment.

France is my favorite too. Not a huge favorite, but just a bit stronger than the rest. When you see that selection with market value, that's really unprecedented. I don't think there is a better striker at the moment than Mbappe. And then there's Benzema too. They are very strong on every line. Belgium and England are countries that can beat France. 2018 World Cup was close between France and Belgium. 1-0 then in favor of the French. Italy is a outsider.
