Congratulations to Portugal as they secured the win over the Netherlands. It was a deserved victory for them they were the better team over both halves, Netherlands were only able to record just a shot on target all through the entire game.
When ever Portugal is in the news, you know who else gets some credit....the great Cristiano Ronaldo and his stats easily go up over his nemesis Messi who struggles to impress for his country but this is not a contest between the two as both are very good players.

Getting back to this game am starting to think Netherlands will not be getting back to those days they were a force to reckon with the show the put on,more effort is needed to remain competitive.

Who is going to win this one I think Belgium is my team

Slava Ukraini!
Yesterday I got impression that Netherlands players didn't recovered after semifinal match. They played semifinal match one day later than Portugal and they also had to play extra time. Portugal players was more fresh.
My bets for tonight games:
Poland win vs Israel @1.5, Slovenia win vs Latvia @1.5, Czech Republic win vs Montenegro @1.4, Ukraine vs Luxembourg - Ukraine over 2.5 @1.8, Serbia vs Lithuania - Serbia over 2.5 @1.8

An hour away from games and I don't have very good selections on TV. Actually really want to watch Denmark Georgia as I've been following the latter in the group stages of Nations League. I suppose the pick of the night is Spain-Sweden. Can't really see an upset there. I've gone for a rather dull parlay at just 5/1 ++ for Bulgaria and Austria to win their games.

@slocker well, the nations league format does give a chance to guys like Georgia to somehow find a way through to Euro so that's good I guess. And the Georgians are dreaming too!

Win yes but in the end they are not automatically secured place in the Euro 2020. They change rules and this is becoming more and more politic then sport, and on this I dont mean just football in other sport seen this or similar decisions. With possible announcement that only rich clubs can play CL this is next catastrophic decision.

Yes indeed, a deserved winner - honestly I didnt expect that even though CR7 had a great record against the Dutch.

Pathetic play from my team (Greece) against Italy yesterday - yes, we have never been a great team but yesterday was terrible, plain and simple. Our coach needs to be kicked rather sooner than later. I now hope we will be able to win against Armenia in two days... if not, bye bye Euro and the next big tournament we will be missing.

Meanwhile, Third place playoff between Switzerland vs England has been goalless all the way through Extra time. It's now time for Pens

I don't understand why the both teams didn't show good football. the 3rd place gives nothing in case of result so they could have played open football.

Line up is out.
It's going to be a tight match but, I am backing Ronaldo and Co to win  Wink

It would be interesting to see how Virgil defend against Ronaldo.Bernardo Silva is also a thread for Netherlands.I'm with Portugal today, I believe Netherlands have weakness in Forward which is a advantage of portugal.Ronaldo can make the difference in big game like this.

I'm taking a single bet on Netherlands @3.3 or thereabouts. Portugal will rely on Ronaldo for sure. And this will be a bridge too far.

I'm also backing the Netherlands to win the match, but I haven't placed any bet yet. I'll only be doing so on the live bets.

Portugal's reliance on Ronaldo will be evident as usual, It will be incredible to see how Van Dijk will fare against him for those area/physical duels, It's definitely going to be a huge night for him.

He’s only about 24 still too, lots of room for improvement. He’s like the working class hero too, everybody loves him.

Look at this tweet from 2012, how times changed for him through hard work & determination. People from all walks of life could learn from him to never give up & always work towards your goals.

Yeah I read a recent feature on him on espn (and also one on Trent). We do love our working class heroes, hardy Scotsmen are always popular with us. Can you wait for next season? I can't!

I will back Portugal in this final. They are playing at home and most important factor that they have - Ronaldo. We already saw what he can do in semifinal.

Saw the second half of the 3rd placing game. Can't say it was one of the more memorable matches. Trent gave a good account of himself. Pickford had a slamming goal (he took 4th penalty) before saving the 5th one from Switzerland to win it.

My parlay's already killed but I'm taking a single bet on Netherlands @3.3 or thereabouts. Portugal will rely on Ronaldo for sure. And this will be a bridge too far.

Yesterday I though France will win easily against Turkey but surprise surprise, France lost against them LOL I do not follow much the international teams but I thought they were the world champion and won it in a fashion. What happened on a sudden?

The French played terribly. The crowd sure helped the Turkish team but it was not only that. The difference in motivation between both teams was huge. It's like they didn't set their alarm clock for the game. They were just asleep the whole game.
Only Lloris had a decent game. The rest of the team was invisible, especially the offense. They didn't have a single shot on target !
Maybe the French players were already on holidays, I don't know.

I will watch tonight final in League of Nations. Portugal or Holland who will be the first team to qualify for Euro 2020. My vote is no Holland they are slightly better but Portugal plays on home ground and this gives them advantage.
I will correct you, winners of Nations League will not qualify to EURO 2020. There will be playoffs in March 2020 for leagues A, B, C and D and winners of these playoffs will go to EURO 2020.

I think that French team was too relaxed and inaccurate yesterday. World champions didn't expect so much pressure from Turkish players and as a result they lost.

@LFC I didn't see it live but I do recall he's been trying more shots on goal in his last few games in a Red shirt, so glad to see it pull off last night. Hope he carries that into next season! There is NO better left back than Robbo. Even if we take stats aside (assist, tackles, recovers, 1-on-1 defending) his pace, vision, tenacity. Remember how he slapped Messi on his head at Anfield? My favourite memory of the season hahaha.

Here you go mate - https://twitter.com/kloppholic/status/1137455049897119744?s=21

Yeah I remember him fucking with Messi, was funny.
He took a similar shot to the one in the video against Spurs in the final, was a good save by Lloris.

I picked the wrong underdog it seems (Estonia) and totally overlooked how a big team like France could underwhelm. Saw the HT stats and they had only 1 shot. Average rating of 3.2 for the 11 (Lloris did well only apparently).

Anybody see Robertson’s goal against Cyprus last night? What a strike Cheesy

I challenge anybody to name me a better left back on current form than Robertson.

Last Saturday winning the CL, last night scoring a worldie for his country Smiley
