Although Spain is failed to reach the Final, but I can say that their performance against Italy is their best performance in this tournament. I did not expect that they can play that well till the extra time. I predicted that Italy will win the game in normal time but I was wrong, perhaps I was underestimating the young squad of Spain. Too bad, the one who scored in normal time (Morata) was failed to do his task well in penalty shoot out. Both team deserves to be in Final but of course only one to go further. Thumbs up for both teams.

Edit: bet on Italy to qualify!
They have! By 4 pens scored to 2

Thanks to that last Jorginho decisive penalty,
How I like the resilience of Giorgio Chiellini! I have never backed Italy but this time round, I would like them to lift the trophy, just for Chiellini's sake  Smiley
Hard moments with penalties, I expected that scenario and both teams will have to deal with that 5 lottery shots and the unlucky one has to leave. Fortunately for me Italy won Grin
Looking forward now for them to lift the trophy!

Joking aside, this moment, before the penalties, was one of the moments of greatest fair play, which we've seen in football.

Yeah but Chiellini is either crazy or "naturally" too much drunk Tongue

This games was final worthy. Both teams played good football. Maybe Spain were a bit better at some moments, but not enough.

Spain played their typical game of keep-away; maintain possession, make the other team chase the ball, strike when they're tired.  It works most of the time, but this is Italy we're talking about.
They've been there, seen that, and done it themselves.  It was a great game with well matched opponents, soccer doesn't get much better.

Penalties is always lottery, but oh Morata...

So tragic, really.  After all the struggles he's had this year that one is bound to leave a mark.  He was probably still riding high after that goal in the 80th minute, and then it's over just like that.  Heartbreaking.

So what's everyone thinking for tomorrow's game?  I'm all in on England, and have a little parlay going: England, both teams score, U13.5 corners; 4.33/1.

Several players from both teams understanding each other and showing good satisfaction. In this way they show respect for each other.

Nice football moment. Congratulations.

Like how the hell did Spain even get into this tournament minus Sergio Ramos? He would have done well in a situation like during the penalty shoot out.
Italy had it all wrapped up even before the pens were taken. Look how Chellini bullied Jordi Alba, Had it been Ramos, things would have been a little different.

I'd really like to say that I enjoyed the game but to be honest, I didn't. It was such a boring game really. One thing was certain that Spain were better than Italy in general. But Italy managed to score first. Spain increased their attacks and finally found the equalizer. We've seen extra time also but no goal in it. In the penalty shoot-outs, concentration was the key. Italy managed to eliminate Spain 4-2. And I really wonder how Jorginho manages to score the penalties with that interesting style.

We have seem strong teams get knocked out...the likes of the Netherlands, Portugal, France, Germany, which leaves me thinking it's anybodies tournament at this point.

I wonder what games you have seen. Some of the teams you listed were very deservedly eliminated. The Netherlands showed one good game, the others were not good. The same with Germany. Germany won only one out of four games and got seven counters. Beyond that, only the game against Portugal was halfway good. No doubt these are great football nations, but they deserved to be eliminated.
This year's tournament is not like other years,it took another dimension. The teams that we saw to be strong were disappointing people, while those teams that didn't seem strong were making people happy and surprise at the same time.Look at England that hardly do well when it comes to Euro tournament, but this time, they have emerge as one of the favourites to carry the trophy. The likes of Denmark and Italy have really grown beyond expectation.

Italy are through to the Euro 2020 final, beating Spain in penalty kicks  4-2. The match ended 1-1 , In the extra 30 minutes, neither team had clear-cut chances to take the lead, resulting in the shootout where then-hero Morata missed Spain's most important attempt with a poorly taken shot that Donnarumma saved easily the important italy in the final and they can win the cup easly if denmark win agnaist england , because england is a strong team , i prefer england to win the cup

I think I was Spain's best game at Euro 2020. I wasn't expecting them to be doing so well and that Italy had gone through so many difficulties. Italy was happy in penalties, but risked a lot to have a game strategy just thinking about the counterattack.

I was expecting Italy to win, but for 90 minutes. They had to go to extra time, and ended up winning on penalties.

In Spain's last penalty, it was noted that Morata was not inspired, and failed.

Spain fell on their feet, congratulated for reaching the semi-finals.
Congratulations to Italy for reaching the final.

Spain was way better overall, they controlled the game and had the ball. Italy parked the bus and looked for counter attack, eventually they found a goal from that with Chiesa. Spain didn't change their plan and equalized with Morata. Penalties are always about luck, even best players may miss it or weakest ones to score. Simon was good but Spanish players couldn't score much. In the end both teams deserved to be in the final when we check whole tournament. Spain played better than expectations, they weren't favorite before the tournament started. Spanish people should be proud of their team. And good luck to Italy in the final.

If it wasn't for Morata Spain could not even reach the penalities.
Penalties are a Russian roulette, best stickers have an 80-90% of success rate this means 1 or 2 out of 10 are missed goals.

For a moment i thought Italy would loose the match because Spain was playing really well and their attacking game play scared me especially when they scored a goal in the last ten minutes and Gianluigi Donnarumma is the player of the match as he was calm under pressure and was able to resist the offence from Spain and the shoot out was marvelous.

Congrats to Italy, they definitely deserved to advance.  They've been great until today, and maybe the only team that has a chance against England.
I'm a big fan of Italy, maybe not really but, after they removed Belgium not becuase I dislike Belgium No, far from it but, the game theybplayed that day with Belgium, it was a no chance for Belgium and I imagined or had hoped for such game plan with Spain and what I saw was totally different. It was a game where the Italian side ended up doing what they knew how to do best and that is, defense and long passes. It workd for a while but the pressure from Spain was just so much on them. Somehow I knew there were going to live at this point @Spain, but didn't expect it to be by penalty shootout.

Congratulations to Italy. They reached the final with a lot of passion. The penalty shootout was an embarrassment for Spain. You are one of the best 4 teams in Europe and you miss 2 penalties.
yeah as expected Italy in the finals, Only one goal does not kill Italy. You're need to have several goals and aimed well, and the Italians at their worst come out delivered put themselves in the Euro final.
Since the strong performance that they have shown its no surprise that they can go to the finals, as they knocked out Belgium and shown great strength in Group stages.
It's going to be exciting to see them play against England most likely as they have been also performing well especially on the defensive side and making improvements along the way in offense.

Spain played better than Italy but Italy got the opportunity of scoring the 2-0 with Berardi and Berardi also scored an offside goal.
Penalties are a lottery and the winner took the prize.

What a game from OLMO, impressive.

That was an embarrassment for both teams.  Spain for obvious reasons, and Italy dodged a bullet after missing their first.  Both teams played well, but I guess after 120 minutes someone was bound to make a mistake.

Congrats to Italy, they definitely deserved to advance.  They've been great until today, and maybe the only team that has a chance against England.

It was better for Spain to score a goal so close to the end. They go into extra time with better mental strength. But now it also depends on which team has the last breath and the last bite to score a goal.
Yeah, Spain was looking more aggressive in the first half of extra time, but Italy was also playing well because they scored a goal in extra time, but it was offside. Anyway, the outcome of the match will be decided in a penalty shootout.
p.s.
Italy won!
