Yes the game ended and italy is in the semi finals they have a good team with a good defensive side lukaku had two golden chances to score but unlucky for belgium it didnt go in they lack on team play almost all players were off today except for doku who played really good.

Switzerland deserves massive respect. Playing against Spain without 1 player for almost 50 minutes and don't concede goal. Spain really put pressure on extra time. Sommer was great on penalties, but 2 saved shots weren't enough. Spain scored many goals in recent 2 games, but now again they had issues with finishing like in starting games of EURO.
Switzerland was really great tonight and in my opinion Spain was just lucky to get an own goal from Zakaria in the first half, the match between Switzerland and Spain was really quite interesting before Switzerland got 1 red card for Remo Freuler for the foul, I think the red card really changed the swiss game and forced them to defend completely until the match continued with a penalty, although spain managed to win today's match but deservedly the best player in the match was Yann Sommer, the swiss goalkeeper managed to become the last stronghold for switzerland during the match and what a performance which is quite remarkable because Yann Sommer managed to make 10 saves from 28 shots made by the Spain player.

Nothing was clear in today's hard games. Spain the favorite team won hardly, Italy too won after hard moments until the last whistle! Shame for Switzerland, really bad penalties
I thought we would see another underdog to win against a heavy favourite team again. I had my hope up after Switzerland managed to hold it until the penalty shootout even with only 10 players and on top of that, Busquest and Rodri missed their penalties which makes it even more plausible that Switzerland would win but dang it was really bad though

Did anyone get on the correct score of 2-1 for any of the games I think these were kind of predictable....
Btw today's games weren't as dramatic as the previous games and favorites have delivered which makes the next round of games hard to predict, but I have a good feeling about Italy pulling something this off of this tournament because they have transformed their play style from the usual defensive type, todays Italy team is more attack minded which is a good sign.

Real stroke of luck at the end for Belgium. Soft penalty to get them back into the game after it already looked like Italy is running away with it.
Around 10 more minutes to go. If Italy wins then it would be Italy vs Spain on the Semifinals, that kinda feels like the Grand Final match somehow lol

Indeed, getting 1 goal before the half time gave Belgium a little hope! Now Lukaku was almost close to score another goal and get the draw!! Then 2 opportunities for Italy. Insigne/Spinazzolla! wow what a chance,. What a game!

Switzerland was close to knocking out another favorite of the tournament, but unfortunately this time, luck was not on their side. I must say that they show an excellent game and the fact that they were able to level the score in two matches against the strongest opponents speaks volumes.
To be honest I wanted France to be against Spain today in the quarter-finals, but the penalty has changed a lot of fans' expectation. Obviously I think it's very difficult for Switzerland to reach the final because they are the underdogs. Switzerland have been dazzling and surprising in the uero this time around, their strong defense and style of play are hard to beat. Belgium vs Italy. Earlier I said the match would end 2-1 for Belgium to win. But my prediction was wrong because Italy managed to score 2 goals while there was only one goal for Belgium. The temporary score is 1-2 for Italy's victory. But I hope Belgium can score again.

Real stroke of luck at the end for Belgium. Soft penalty to get them back into the game after it already looked like Italy is running away with it. I am really glad Insigne managed to hit one of his trademark strikes, he tried that shot several times on this EURO and he deserved that goal.

If Spain want to win the championship, they need to work more on implementation! They had plenty of opportunities to make things happen as the game went on, but they didn't take them! They were lucky that Switzerland were even worse at penalties than they were...
Switzerland almost repeated the success they achieved when they beat France in the round of 16. But unfortunately, this time they failed to beat the Spanish goalkeeper. I think they were superior in defense so there wasn't a single goal that Spain managed to score throughout the game except for that own goal. Spain have proven that they are better than Switzerland with the way they play and congratulation to the matadors who made it to the semifinal first.When the game headed to penalties I really doubted Spain chances looking at how many penalties they've missed during the group stages, but luck was on their side because a Switzerland that scored all five penalties against France missed 3 this night.

I can't agree more with 3meek, Spain will have to change some things if they wish to do something more, today they had luck, Switzerland was worse than them at penalties! We can't say that Spain was better in this game, after all, it was 1:1 even after extra time!

Switzerland after a great game, ended up losing on penalties.
Honestly, Switzerland is better than Spain, and had everything to win the game, unfortunately several players missed the penalties.
