Chelsea winning g the UCL didn't make it easy to clarify who will deserve it now with France out, a lot of contenders like Mbappe , Kante, Greizman ,surely didn't score a lot of points to deserve winning it, Ronaldo also had his campaign cut short after he had something going on for Jim so he would not be winning it any time soon this year.
This going to leave only Messi and Kevin De Bruyne as prime candidate for winning Ballon d'or,
KDB is currently going to miss the quarter final against Italy so they are needed to survive that stage if they want to continue and that I'd going to be a lot harder then Portugal game. So this going to leave Messi winning it if he won Copa America this year.

I guess and think that the Match between Germany and England will end with a 2 to 1 for Germany.

It will not be easy for Germany to beat England, considering that England's goal has never been touched by a goal from the opposing team. Kane is not going to let this go easily. After yesterday's incredible matches, I expect that in the England - Germany match the score will be at least 5 - 5, and the outcome of the match will be decided in a penalty shootout and the goalkeepers' turn will come (at least 11 shots) 
I hope that in the match Sweden - Ukraine there will also be many goals scored.
I have not checked the statistics but there is a feeling that the average number of goals in this championship is higher than the performance at the previous European championships, which is quite unusual since the European championship is usually a more balanced championship than the world championship for example.

The players of Switzerland fought so bravely against France yesterday and I was shocked to see France being eliminated from this tournament. The odds payout for Sweden to win the match in full time against Ukraine is @2.30 and the odds payout are pretty decent. Even though there are not many big stars in the squad of Sweden but they always managed to create amazing result with their squad, and I think Sweden should be able to progress to the quarter finals in this tournament.

What a match! Saw a great match. Although France was the favorite and I kept the bet for France, I have no regrets even after losing the bet. Switzerland played very well. After they missed a penalty in the first half, the players became somewhat mentally weak. After Benzema scored two goals in a row in the second half, Switzerland did not have any chance to attack. Even then, overcoming all obstacles, they scored in the 81st and 90th minutes to draw the match. Neither team scored in the extra 30 minutes.
I was surprised too and i lost a bet i thought that france would win i placed it after the equaliser and after the good performance they showed until the 81 minutes i was shocked when they equalized because considering the switzerland performance in the group stage especially against italy they did not seem capable to beat france.

@kassex the coach definitely needs to explain why did he play with a back three, why ditch the winning formula and revert to a formation which wasn’t deployed earlier. Also the player’s need to take the fall for the defeat, because it felt like they were not motivated at all and hopefully the new coach will be able to motivate them to work harder.
Digne was injured and there were concerns Hernandez was not fit for the match so Deschmps could deploy a usual back four. I definitely don't believe he would continue with this formation in future games after Hernandez becomes fit.
Worse, they substituted CB Clement Lenglet with Coman early on, so this forced defensive midfielders deeper in their pitch than they usually play (because you can't play Switzerland wth only 2 defenders, they do too many crosses that obliterate the midfield). When they scored three goals they should've substituted attackers for defenders to hold on to their lead, the 90' swiss goal could've been avoided.

France missed a bunch of chances last night, especially Mbappe. What a screamer from Pogba though. He reminded me of the days when he used to play for Juventus and he was a proper football player. Hopefully he will get back to doing what he does best, and I don't mean dyeing his hair.

Kramarić's chance was where we should have broken the game. It was a sitter, that goes in and we're through.
We tried to change immediately after, Vrsaljko was already ready to go in (I assume instead of Brekalo), Brekalo missed the header and allowed Morata a clear chance and it was Spain who was leading a minute later.
A shame really, if we managed to change to 4 at the back and calmed the game a bit, I think we'd have reached the penalty shootout.

Holy f for France.It happens again 15 years after their 2006 Final where their last player who kicked the penalty missed it.It happened again yesterday night to one of the best players of France if not the best of them,Mbappe.Congrats to Switzerland but what a bad luck to France.
A really surprising outcome of that match. I watched the first half and until swiss got the penalty kick, there i told my friends that if he misses i am pretty sure that france gains momentum now and will win the match and that is almost what happened. Rodriguez missed the penalty and then basically directly after that france scored two goals. At that point i felt so bad for switzerland, even as a neutral viewer, that i switched off the TV. When i thought the match was over i wanted to look up the final score and i was very surprised as i saw that the score is 3-3 and the game is in overtime. Then i switched the TV back on.
Of course it is unlucky for france to go out after a penalty shootout but i also have to say they played kinda cocky after their 3-1 lead.

You should always remember that the match lasts 90 minutes. France has a good team, but I think it's time to change the coach.
Why should France (reigning world champions) swap coaches? They play well and are a strong team, the coach can't help it if the team lets itself play like that in the last few minutes. He can just wash their heads afterwards ... I'm already thinking that they should carry on like this, it will happen at the World Cup next year too, then you could talk about it.

Those were outstanding games yesterday and also very exciting. Nobody would have expected Switzerland to advance against France. As far as I'm concerned, it can continue this excitingly today.

Switzerland - France match was great ! Switzerland, which was behind 3-1 in the last 15 minutes of the match, managed to take the match to overtime by scoring two goals in 9 minutes. When the score did not change in overtime, they went to the penalty shootout and Switzerland did not miss a penalty shootout. A penalty missed by world star Mbappe in France caused them to be eliminated. It was a very good match. Spain's opponent was Switzerland in the quarter finals.
Two teams coming back from behind 3-1 against some of the world's best teams. I think Switzerland would never have seen themselves coming so far in this tournament but here they are beating FRANCE.

The division of teams to various groups didn't made sense this time. For example, three of the strongest teams were placed in Group F (France, Germany and Portugal). Although all three of them managed to get to the next stage, it resulted in PQF matches between Belgium and Portugal, and between England and Germany. On the other hand, they had only one strong team each in Group D, Group C and Group A. Group C was perhaps the easiest of all the groups (Netherlands, Austria, Ukraine, North Macedonia).
