It was a goalless first half between Spain vs Italy. The two teams are of the same strength and none of them wants to allow their opponents to take advantage of them. Spain had good clear chance which was to be a goal. One was a good header chance by Williams, which went to the left side of the goal post.

The second half should be more exciting than this because I expect goals to come in from any of the teams. I can't really tell who will score first in this match because Scammacca also missed a good scoring opportunity.
The first half there were no goals and both played perfectly and I think both were quite difficult, Spain attacked more than Italy in the first half which remained with a draw.

The second half started with Spain being more aggressive in their attacks, they had far more possession of the ball, in view of this situation it looks like Spain will get a goal faster than Italy if the situation continues like this, Italy is quite exhausted in this second half they continue to be attacked and there is no resistance that has a far greater chance of scoring a goal, almost fully running half the field.

And as I type this Riccardo has scored for Spain, it's very good and the score is 1-0 in favor of Spain, I think I'm going to get a win tonight from my bet on Spain, looking back at the match starting to heat up a bit maybe Italy's players are a bit provoked to take revenge.

I don’t see a clear advantage for one of the teams, in the final phases the Spain look more dangerous, while the Italians try to keep the game in the center, and so far they are holding up very well in defense. But Italy has always been famous for its defensive play, and Donnaruma has already made a great save. At the end of the half, the Spaniards increase pressure on the defense, but so far to no avail.
The Italian team play so well it makes Spain's effort look not enough. Spain did not find a way through, they sent long balls, started playing shots from outside but it still did not work. The had more attempts in the first half at goal, and Italy barely managed a shot on target. The second half has started, it will require good finishing to score Italy because they are barely allowing the chances, and any opportunity that Spain are able to get, they need to use it well.
Spain is the team dominating the match right now. I have never seen Italy this desperate. As a matter of fact, Spain scored. Calafiori scored an own goal to put Spain ahead. Spain is a great team and they play very attacking. 16-year-old young talent Yamal is still playing in the first 11 and getting closer to scoring a goal. I think he will be the youngest player to score in this tournament.

The strength of both teams in the first half wasn't an equal one , Spain dominated most part of the first half of not the entire time one that they failed to proof that dominance by at least taking a lead before HT ends, what would have made the difference clear. Williams and Yamal in top notch tonight, fabulous crosses, take-ons and strokes of shots and compounding on the fact that Spain are more composed and of high serenity in their team connection than Italy they would have nothing short of a victory tonight. We'll see that happening in the next half.

England should win this match if they want to qualify to the next round of the competition, but with the way they are playing, I don’t think they can easily win this match because Denmark dominated the game entirely in the first half which is why they get one goal in the first half due to high pressure they putting into Manchester United’s defense.

This EURO will expose Gareth Southgate because to me he have all the players he should have as a coach, but his lack of good tactics is affecting the team.
England have missed all the opportunities they have right from the beginning of the match. That's why they failed to win the match against Denmark, They allowed Denmark to dominate all the game, both the first half and second half, and my expectations were that England would find that match very easily to win.
but due to their inconsistent play, it was not happen and they had luck; if not they would know even get the points shared with Denmark. But let's see what happens in their next match since they are still at the top of the table they might bring positive results.

I feel sorry for England in this tournament. They're likely to face a surprising early exit. Although they believe they've had similar starts in the past and managed to turn things around, I think they're underperforming and struggling, especially against opponents who aren't expected to pose much of a challenge
They beat Serbia 1-0 in the first match and should have had it easier in the second match. They unexpectedly drew against Denmark and it ended 1-1. Harry Kane scored a goal but they could not secure passage from the group. They are still in an advantageous position before the last matches. I think they will win by beating Slovenia in the last match and get out of the leading group.

Currently the common odds on many gambling websites for Euro 2024 winner are as below.

The source of the odds: https://www.oddschecker.com/football/euro-2024/winner

As you can see, Germany got more favourite in time. Do they deserve to be shown like that? Definitely! So far they have been the most consistent team. They don't hesitate and easily dominate their games.

France and England haven't been convincing. England couldn't even win today after playing not good enough.  Sad  Portugal - Spain are also not much different than those two lately.

I wasn't expecting to say this before the competition started. But my favourite is Germany for the title.  Tongue

England needs to up their performance if they want to go far in the tournament, and Southgate must make some changes in their next game. I don't know what Alexander Arnold is doing in the midfield when he has players like Mainoo, Gallagher and Wharton in the squad. Also, Harry Kane, despite bagging a goal in the match was poor upfront. IMO, the few minutes Watkins played he was better.

If England cannot win matches like this, if they find themselves in the knockout stages, they won't stand a chance when they face the likes of Germany, Portugal, Spain etc.

It's really bad that despite the squad England has but yet they couldn't beat Denmark. Southgate would have made earlier changes when he saw that things were not going well with the team, Alexander Arnold was really a disappointment but for Harry Kane he did his best even though he made some mistakes in the second half. Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden also did their possible best for the team but let us not also disregard the effort of the Denmark team because they did a superb job.
On a more serious note the England team is not doing well at all just imagine playing a draw in their last game against Serbia, today they also ended in a draw against Denmark which was a very bad signal for them. They need to upth their game if they want to advance further if not they won't go far in the competition.

2 goals will not be difficult to expect in the Spain vs Italy match because both have players with attacking characteristics.
Spain might win, but if the result is a draw it won't be a bad result for them considering that Croatia and Albania failed to get each other's 3 points yesterday.
It would be bad for me if it was a goalless draw. Apart from not being an interesting spectacle, a goalless draw would be bad for my betting.

England have great players that should be able to win Denmark but Southgate coaching and game pattern will not make them achieve any good result if they meet a team that is as strong as them. Denmark impressed me because I never expected them to draw the match and also pressured England looking for a way of scoring a second goal. England goalkeeper is good, he stopped some balls from entering the goal post. England should be able to win their next match without much difficulty.

Kane goal motivated Denmark players and it made them more aggressive on the pitch with the ball. It was like Denmark was defending initially in the beginning of the match which gave England an advantage dominate the match and score one go. But after Denmark came out to attack, they saw that they can withstand England and outsmart them if they tried hard. That confidence gave Denmark the chance to equalize the goal.

The second half is not easy for both teams, because Foden is taking the match so personal that he wants to score a goal by all means but all his attempts were in vain, he almost find the back of the net but the ball hit the bar.
Even though it is quite strange, the Danish players' confidence in this match started when they tried to play more aggressively after being 1 goal behind in the first half. And after that Denmark was able to play calmer and braver. Even in the second half, Denmark still looked calmer when controlling the ball. They were not in a hurry and just continued to look for gaps in England's back line. but sometimes Danish defenders also make small mistakes in their back line. Unfortunately the English players couldn't make good use of it.
Denmark came not playing especially what happened in the last Euro against England, so when England scored it is obvious they will not want to give the England team space, though I thought England would win but looking at the previous meetings stat I just couldn't find anyway to critise England here and while in this meeting today Denmark also had a better stat than them, in terms of shot on target, possessions and the likes except from fouls and offside. Now let's see how well they play in their next match.

Im really looking forward to seeing how the game turns out today and i suspect at least two goals will be scored. No matter which team wins today, it will go to the round of the last 16, a draw would also look good for both teams, but I dont really want to see that kind of tactic today.

England are just making a mess of themselves in this competition and they're also seen as one of the favorite to win, I think that thought should be erased from our mind, nobody should say it anymore because I haven't seen what they have done to be seen as such.
Southgate needs to quit the job even if they decide not to sack him somehow, because it is too much for him. How can England not be winning games effortlessly with the kind of Quality they have? The coach has to be the problem because he cannot manage the players he has or make the right choices for tactics.
Spain is currently playing against Italy, this will be one of the most exciting games because Spain have two very good wingers, Williams and Yamal who are already causing problems.

LOL.. who would have expected that England would share points with Danmark during today's match? They managed to defeat a much stronger Serbia in their first match, but couldn't get past the weak Danes this time. And disappointed with the performance from Serbia. They needed a win today, but only managed a draw against Slovenia. For all practical purposes, Serbia is out of the tournament now. They have one match against Danmark remaining. Even if they win that one, there is a good chance that they will miss qualifying for the next round.
It’s hard to call the Danes weak, they are definitely a good team and from the game with England I can say that they played a very decent match. Quite an important draw for them, a draw in the match with the Serie will be enough for them to reach the playoffs, England will most likely beat Slovenia. And now in a few minutes we are waiting for the Spain - Italy match, after two draws today I assume that in this match we will have a winner, let it be a 2:0 victory for Spain.

If England keeps playing like that, and Southgate still insists on playing the same strategy or nothing has changed in the composition of the players he plays with, then England will not only have difficulty getting a win against Slovenia but, they may also not qualify for the round of 16. England is currently at the top with 4 points, but if in the next match, they lose to Slovenia and Denmark can win against Serbia, then England will be kicked out of the Euro 2024 competition.

Slovenia is not an opponent to be taken lightly, as they managed to get a draw against Serbia and Denmark. So if England continues to play with their performance like they did against Denmark, then Slovenia has a chance to beat England.

England are favored as a team that can compete with the EURO title now but after seeing this game it is a bit skeptical that they will be in the final.
England's victory over Serbia was hard fought, now against Denmark they are unable to win even though this result is not good but many are disappointed especially the bettors England's game is below expectations.

Serbia actually still has a chance to qualify as long as they can beat Denmark and Slovenia lose to England then Serbia's points will be 4 points if they win, but we know Denmark is not an easy opponent maybe Serbia will have difficulty winning again when the Denmark match.

England are just making a mess of themselves in this competition and they're also seen as one of the favorite to win, I think that thought should be erased from our mind, nobody should say it anymore because I haven't seen what they have done to be seen as such. Since England scored the first goal in the encounter against Denmark, the 3 Lions have been the ones dominating the game after the equalizer till the end of the game I don't see why they have been giving England the ball possession, they favor them to that length too? This is ridiculous.
Denmark have been controlling the ball more than the English side, with all the stars England have nothing positive is coming out of the team and we still have better players sitting on the bench. Southgate is not making any progress with these players I think when the 3 Lions are going to be in a very tight corner that's when he'll start rotating the players in terms of selections. They (ENGLAND) were lucky it ended in a draw, let's see how they'll manage against Slovenia.
You're emphasizing the important point. Moreover, south gate is too often pushing the players into their non-optimal positions; I'm not sure what this signifies for him. Once more, south gate never uses his sense, which causes him to be poor in player placement or strategy. To be honest, England ought not to appoint physical education teachers such as South Gate to coach its national football club.

Moreover, England is in its strongest phase; However, it is quite sad to see just because England chose a bad coach, and they can lose the chance of winning Euro 2024; In the end, england leaves from euro 2024 earlier.
While several of our members have been really optimistic about England's performance, I think that this country will stagnate if it keeps depending on South Gate to coach the team. Like when he chooses to rotate RB to the defensive midfielder, South Gate did experiments too often.

This is another sad outcome for England.

England have always struggled to achieve success in major competitions, even if they have many quality players. I wouldn't be surprised if England ended up failing at EURO 2024 sooner than some of the other favorite countries, that's a normal thing about them in my opinion.

I know England have a lot of players who have good individual qualities, but they are a team that really cannot be favored against other big teams. I think getting through to the quarter-finals is something that would be great for England based on what they showed today, but there is still hope to see them improve. I don't see calm in the England's game, that's something other teams have.
The truth is that it's been a very long time that the England national team last won a major tournament but I don't want to believe your opinion that England have struggled to have a good performance in recent major tournaments. In the last UEFA Euros Championship, the Three Lions of England were able to reach the final of the competition before they were beaten on penalties by the eventual winners Italy.

You don't need to believe me because basically you have to have your own assumptions. No matter how good England's players are, they always find it difficult to win the title. I was an England fan as a child before turning my attention to various other teams, but I no longer remember the last time they won the title.

You are right that it is very rare for English teams to go further in big competitions. Even though they have a very good squad compared to many other national teams. And there is no need to be surprised if England cannot progress further. But at least England must make it through the group stage. And I'm sure they will succeed.

I am now quite surprised that Saka, Kane and Foden have been replaced at the same time. Isn't this too fast? I hope the English club doesn't make a mistake with their choice by simultaneously replacing these 3 players. Although I'm a little worried now.

I agree with you, England has a real chance of qualifying for the next round even though I'm not sure they will win the title. However, I am also happy that England is one of the favorites in this tournament after several teams such as Germany, Portugal, Spain were favorites. There are a lot of good players in the squad, but their performance sometimes falls short of what is expected. For example, regarding today's match against Denmark, they were favorites but failed to win the match.
