Surprising result in Group A. After performing so well till now, Scotland was finally held to a 2-2 draw by Georgia. Lawrence Shankland's goal during injury time brought one point for Scotland. But then, the results are irrelevant as they have already qualified for the main tournament. Group G still looks tight, BTW. Theoretically Montenegro can still finish ahead of Serbia, if the results of the last round go in their favor. In Group J I was hoping that Luxembourg maybe able to qualify, but now it is confirmed that after Portugal, Slovakia will be the second team to qualify from this group.

Georgia and Scotland match wasnt that important and even Scotland didnt push it much but in the end got the point. Montenegro won and can finish ahead but i dont think that will happen. Serbia has an easy matchup and just need one point to pass the group against a weak team.

I think still excited with Group B between Ukraine and Italy are teams will fighting one slot left after England have been early qualified to EURO. What do you think between Ukraine or Italy which one favorite will play in EURO and have chance Italy as winner last edition must be absent?

it is probably most exciting group from qualifications standpoint, if you are cheering for your own team
Ukraine and Italy both deserve a spot, but there is only one place

I think that Italy will get it, but it is a hard and tough fight, and Italy needs a win tonight, no matter what

Group A of UEFA EURO qualifier is not really surprising or exciting yet due Scotland and Spain have been qualify to EURO 2024 despite Scotland have got draw last match from Georgia opponent national team. Have one match left in this group and looks Spain are favorite team will finish on first standings position behind two points remaining from Scotland on current position awhile.
In Group J have been clearly Portugal and Slovakia are teams qualified to EURO 2024, last teams in this group Slovakia have 5 points left behind Luxembourg and its can't catch any more with one match left.  I think still excited with Group B between Ukraine and Italy are teams will fighting one slot left after England have been early qualified to EURO. This was undoubtedly a profitable odds, but when I see such results, I always think about the fact that I have to go to the end (sometimes) and bet not just on the underdog winning, but on winning with a handicap of -1 goal. Imagine guessing a handicap game like this. The coefficient was probably 15-20.

Remember what I told you about Asian teams vs Scandinavia/Nordic teams in Euro? Bookies still think they are big underdogs but they are technically very good these days, no stars but physical, while Norway, Sweden, especially (I would add Finland and Iceland) continue to be seen as favourites despite quality dropping.

I took early 8/1 but close to match it was actually 9/1. Handicap was 16/1!
~

Yep, of course I remember we discussed this in several topics. Such bets are especially good in games where the nominal favorite no longer has motivation (due to a successful tournament or because all chances have already been lost). Hot southern teams always have increased motivation because they are hungry for victories and they have something to prove, regardless of the tournament position.

As each new technology makes sports management more perfect and easier, I think there is a lot of criticism of that technology. Video Assistant Refereeing has been a great technology for football as it can accurately tell if a goal is well scored or if the referee is off site correctly but we have also seen many criticisms of this technology. Yes some controversial decisions have come from this technology but most of the decisions made football easier to manage. If the technologists bring any new technology instead of this technology then that technology will definitely be updated but there is no guarantee that that technology will give hundred percent correct decision. As technology advances so does the debate.
VAR is one technology that changed football wholly when it got introduced, It aided proper decision making. Twas a revolution that was proper because normally the world evolves in technology, even as the evolution occurs, every aspect imbedded in this world should evolve too, at the beginning there was a tangible percentage of accuracy but in  games, weeks and months, the accuracy range dropped, errors started being welcomed, technical and human errors which normally is no ones fault.

The errors tended to cause grievances between the fans and the match officials. We should note that for every innovation of man, there's no guaranteed perfection, there's although a warranty and once the period of the warranty elapses, then most definitely, we should expect any new development from this innovation, this reason makes for the continuous upgrade and update of the VAR system because of not, the discrepancies will get increased to a point of no fixing and then, it may see to the strategical end of it, the VAR is one technology that'd continue to be much useful and that's why we have a task of boosting up it's quality as the world moves technologically, we  won't want to have an out of date system used in our games. It won't deliver as it ought to.

Usually Liechtenstein is a team that provides goals for Portugal and it seems that last night's match proved that Liechtenstein has improved its defensive system better by only conceding 2 goals. I really appreciate the performance of the Liechtenstein players in the match, especially the goalkeeper who was seen repeatedly thwarting opportunities from the Portuguese players. It was in the second half that the first goal was conceded and Cristiano Ronaldo scored the opening goal to give Portugal's lead and after that it was Cancelo's turn to seal Portugal's victory with the goal he scored.

Portugal has certainly qualified from group J and talking about Cristiano Ronaldo, he is now the temporary top scorer in the group qualifying round with 10 goals (the same number as goals scored by Romelu Lukaku).

I'll have a long laugh if Italy loses to North Macedonia today and doesn't make it to the big tournament again because of them... If that happens, then Macedonia can be called the Italian curse... I don't rule out that this could happen because the first game was a draw... But I really hope that Italy will win...
It would be very difficult to believe if Italy lost today's match to North Macedonia. Because this time the match will be held at the Stadium Olimpico Tour. And Italy as the host should be able to win this match. Spalletti will be very embarrassed if he fails to bring Italy to win this match. Maybe in the first meeting Italy was held to a draw by North Macedonia which is still understandable. Because at that time North Macedonia was the host. This time there is no reason for Italy to lose.

England vs Malta football match is going to be played today in Group C.  England qualified for next summer's European Championship with a 3-1 win over Italy last month. England is at the top with 16 points from 6 matches. Meanwhile, Malta could not win a single match in the group stage. The hosts have won all six of their matches against Malta, scoring 18 goals. England are unbeaten in their last 36 home qualifying matches. England is a very strong team at home. England are likely to score more than five goals in today's match. Malta are easy opponents for England and deserve the full three points.

Games that have no goals from the first half to the end of the game is just boring to watch, and this Liechtenstein vs Portugal game is one of those games we expect to see goals coming in from different angles but no it didn't happen.
The first half of the game is quite disappointing to me, because I was expecting to see the visitors (Portugal) dropping like 3-4 goals before heading into half-time but is still goalless.
I hope with the stars that Portugal are having in this fixture it won't end in a draw or 0-2 win, at least Cr7 need to score more goals to increase his goal scoring record.
The first half was a frustrating affair between the two teams, with neither team attacking well and scoring in the first half.  Maybe Portugal would have played well from start to finish in the match, but that was not the case, rather they had a very bad first half. Portugal has good stars currently according to that if they perform well they could have won by more goals but not so good favor them. Although the match ended 0-2, the match started very disappointingly, but Portugal attacked well in the second half. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal in the 46th minute to put his team ahead of the opposition. And the second goal on 57 minutes made the game even better as Portugal didn't allow the opposition to attack as they eventually held on to the game. In the last minute they pulled off a win and stayed on the points table with 27 points. So far, in 9 matches, Portugal have not lost a single match and have had a great run in all matches.
Portugal clinched a victory over ordinary Liechtenstein, they're keeping their perfect qualifying record – 9 wins out of 9 games! Even among all the players, Ronaldo still stands out, keeping up with the young talents at the top level as usual. In today's match, he played as a midfielder, and Goncalo was the main striker. The details of the game are pretty much history now. I'm a fan of their new coach and how he switched up the key positions, but it didn't quite work out this time. People were expecting Portugal to win by at least 6 goals, but that didn't happen. I think the team missed Rafael Leao.

Wasnt an expecting such an easy win from Azerbejan. They dominated the entire match even with a red card they score one more goal this shows just how bad Sweden is and a change needs to happen fast. A really good odd on Azerbejan and an easy win. Good single bet.

Odds won't be this great next season. Bookies will realise it Smiley

Although the match between Sweden and Azerbaijan didn't decide anything and maybe that's why the Swedish team didn't play at full strength and they decided to protect themselves from injuries. Nevertheless, Azerbaijan played very confidently and they won deservedly.

Sweden form has been bad for a long stretch. Value!

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone... I've always liked the Italian national team, you can call me a fan of Italian football... But if they lose to Macedonia again, I will really laugh at that... Because I think they should have no problem winning this game... By the way back then when they didn't make it to the championship, I was also sure that they would beat North Macedonia... Grin

So a theoretical scenario of Italy losing their match to North Macedonia is offensive for you guys? I am not too sure about it. Italy was one of the top teams. But that was two decades ago, when Roberto Baggio, Fabio Cannavaro, Alessandro Del Piero, Filippo Inzaghi, Christian Vieri and Gianluigi Buffon were playing for them. The current Italian squad doesn't have a single player of that calibre. And it is being reflected in their performance as well. Italy is a team in decline, much like other Central European teams such as Germany and the Netherlands.

We, Italy, have been out of international competitions for a long time, it's not nice. In fact, I hope they win and I don't underestimate the opposing team.
Now all we can do is hope, how sad.

Luxembourg is by far the most positive story of these qualifiers. Bosnia probably the worst though.

Luxembourg's last game is against Liechtenstein, they should be winning that one easily.
With that win they'd be on 17 out of 30 points, more than 1,5 points on average.

Really impressive growth, considering how bad they've been recently. Kinda C/P of the Iceland story, who they will finish in front of in the group.

Will they be in contention for the best 3rd team? Would be crazy if they had a shot at the Euros.

When talking about frustration in that game I think it should be channelled to the Portugal team because they know they should be getting more goals in the first half which they didn't, and the Liechtenstein did very well to hold the visitors to a draw at halftime but the second half went bad for them.
Although the Portugal side are really doing well in going into every game and stealing all 3pt, is a sign that other European countries should be aware of them because they're not only coming to compete but to get hold of the title.

Portugal I think is the only team to have won all of their games so far in these qualifiers and that is a good indication however I am afraid they were in a relatively easy group and as such they took full advantage of it.Winning just 0-2 against Liechtenstein is nothing to worry about as most likely is a sign of being self complacent and they have every right to be like that after getting full points in 9 games.

I don't think though from the games that I have seen that they will be able to contend well against the likes of England,Spain,Germany,France and Italy in this Euro 2024,considering a win for Italy tonight which would give them the qualification most likely.
Glad to see ronaldo was scoring during this match. It's really showing age is just a number for him. he is ageless. His performance even far better compared with the young player in the portugal national club.

I must admit that ronaldo's value is more compared with goncalo ramos. CR7 is old enough but he is still able consistently playing for portugal so well.

I must applause all of ronaldo's hard work to keep his stamina. Ronaldo is amazing. Even though portugal was struggling even after made so many chances but it's still winning against liechtenstein.

Media are all talking about the risk of seeing Italy being kicked cause of North Macedonia again. Italians gonna hate North Macedonia people for ever for this Roll Eyes
In about 24 hours, we will know the result but I expect Italy to win. I mean they are playing home, they know the risk of missing points here so I doubt they will embarrass their fans another time.
Otherwise, Poland will play today vs Czechia and they risk to not qualify if they don't win. Even a victory doesn't guarantee qualification since they will wait for the other matches of Czechia and Albania..
