He struggled with Inter Milan, and Manchester United after Jose Mourinho left, I'm happy to see him buzzing scoring goals an having fun, not just with the National Team but with his club side.
He's been able to silence all of the critics but not all of them. It's good to have a highly and mentally strong coach by his side. The goals he's scored now has led to the rise of his price valuation.

I'd love to see Kevin De Bruyne back, they Belgium didn't do so well during the FIFA World Cup Competition, now it's time for redemption, they can make things up if they work together towards achieving this.
I can't predict that for them, they had it all and couldn't, if thry believe thry would, then they would.

The situation in Group C is very interesting.
Ukraine is second in Group C and has 13 points. Italy is three points behind Ukraine and occupies the third position. But the Italians have one extra game in reserve. If the Italians win their "reserve" game against North Macedonia, then in the last round we will see a super match between Ukraine and Italy. It will be a battle for a ticket to Euro-24.
I will like to see Italy in the Euro next year than Ukraine. Ukraine is a good team with Mudryk, Zichenko, Vitaliy Mykolenko and other players but I reason that Italy will make the competition much more competitive and interesting as a team that have won the competition before and a team with the ability to win it again. I reason that their new coach can really work things out for them and cook this Italian squad into something very special for Germany next year.

Obviously, Italy still has to fight hard in this group because after all, there is only one ticket left available, because England has managed to lock in its position as group winner. But indeed, at least Italy still has one match remaining against North Macedonia and yes, Italy should maximize the match against North Macedonia to win so that it still has a chance to get that ticket. But yes, I think it won't be easy for Italy either. Because of course Ukraine will also maintain its position in second place and yes, if Ukraine can maintain that position then unfortunately, Italy will also fail to qualify.

England defeated Italy 3-1. Hary Kane scored 2 goals and Marcus Rashford scored 1 goal. Harry Kane to give his 61th goal in his 87th appearance with National Team. I wasn't surprised to see England win because the lineup of England it so sensationally good, in the offense were star players like Bellingham, Rashford, Foden and Kane.

Ukraine will take 2nd place in the group while Italy had to drop to 3rd position. Things are not going well for Italy.

Having these four names you mentioned on the team as offensive players is quite impressive. They have all very complementary qualities and Bellingham fits perfectly into this formation because he does the same for England as he is doing for Real Madrid. I believe his biggest strength is that he knows how to play his position defensively despite being positioned in the offensive part of the formation. Kane is a great striker with enormous efficiency and Foden and Rashford can speed up the game incredibly fast and with a high technical level. I am not sure what more you could ask for. They are one of the favorites in my opinion.

England's national team squad is all about expensive players.  Grin
So it is very natural if they win the squad that there is qualified in his game and this victory is clearly a landslide for them - in making sure England qualifies.

I think their decisive match will be when they meet in the final round, how will the Italian national team travel? A bit doubtful.

Undoubtedly, the current England squad is one of the most talented squad. But England were beaten by eventual winners Italy, European Championship three years ago and were beaten by France in the quarter finals of the FIFA World Cup last year. England "golden generation" should now be able to win the cup the next European competition that will be held by the Germans.

If Italy had got a point against England they wouldn't have needed so much reckoning but they lost a point against England which is why they have so much to worry about. Italy's next match is against North Macedonia where Italy are very likely to get full points. If Italy can get full points against North Macedonia then their points and Ukraine's points will be equal and Ukraine and Italy will fight next match with equal points which will be a tough fight for these two teams. Before thinking about how Italy will perform against Ukraine, Italy need to plan their next match because if they lose points in the next match, the match against Ukraine will be very difficult for them. Italy is one of the favorites against Ukraine but the problem is that it is difficult for the big teams to perform at their best when the pressure is on.

Italy needs to win the two remaining games to secure their spot. Otherwise, missing out on consecutive major tournaments is a real risk for them. It's tough to perform under pressure. If they win the next match, the deciding game will be against Ukraine, and Ukraine would also be determined to win for their qualification. Beating Ukraine won't be easy. But what if North Macedonia causes them problems? Let's positive Italy might qualify; it's challenging but not impossible.
Ukraine will make good use of the fact that the match between Ukraine and Italy will be away. They attacked very well later in the groups and although they lost to Italy, they will still have hopes in the last match. If they beat Italy, the last European champion team will not be able to participate in the tournament. It's a tough group and tough times are starting for Italy.
The Italian national team is in a danger situation. Luciano Spalletti's team can't make any more mistakes. They've fallen behind Ukraine, and have a chance to make second place, but they must do better in their remaining matches. Ukraine is aware of the fact, and they will only focus to beat Italy.

Well... it is true that Romelu Lukaku has been in terrific form so far in this tournament (as he is always while playing against weaker teams). Apart from Belgium, other teams are not world class contenders in Group F. Austria and Sweden are there, then they have Azerbaijan and Estonia to make up the numbers. What worries me is the fact that Belgium managed to score a total of 17 goals till now, and Lukaku scored 10 of them. Other team members are having very little contribution in their wins. Dodi Lukebakio is at the second place with 2 goals.

I thought Sweden would do better in this group although I did expect Austria and Belgium to get ahead of the rest, but Sweden did worse than I thought they would.

Regarding Lukaku and his pivotal role for the Belgian game, I think they would rather be happy that concerned about his terrific form and they don't want to think about what would happen if he gets injured or can't play for any reason. His goal count is really terrifying considering that Lukebakio scored only twice so far, but again this would only be worrisome if Lukaku was a player who misses many games. But if I am not mistaken he is usually ready to go.

Being ahead of a Ronaldo in the goal scorer list when Ronaldo has a group that is much easier than that of Belgium speaks volumes so far. Lukaku for some reason gets along very well in the national team despite missing De Bruyne. Actually, it is not only about the 10 goals he scored, but about the number of his goals relative to total Belgium goals. He scored 10/16 whereas Ronaldo scored 9/32. This shows how much Lukaku means to the team. He also assisted 1 goal, which gives him a participation rate of 68.75%. That's ridiculous and nobody would have seen that coming.

Well i think they will be under a lot of presure because they didnt go to the world cup and i think against Ukraine this will be a critical match because id they miss again a big tournament it will be a huge shock for their national team. Ukraine will for sure fight hard against them
Facing Ukraine is one way for them to qualify but before that they must also try to get 3 points against North Macedonia.
Their first match against Macedonia did not go well as they had to be willing to share a point and that must be avoided now because the current point difference is 3 points from Ukraine and inevitably Italy must win the match against northern Macedonia so that they can be level with Ukraine and consider the last match against Ukraine is life and death because this is a decisive thing for them.
They have failed in the Euros before and of course we know that they failed in the world cup too and it would not be funny if they fail again now.

I still think that Italy could end up going up, and that shouldn't really be a trouble for them, I get that not a lot of people think that they will get enough but I believe them and they can do it. All these national team stuff are getting worse and risky with all the injuries and of course fatigue, we need to make sure that national teams play as little as possible if we want clubs to mean more. So many injuries happened during this break, and it resulted with so many clubs missing so many important players, I hate it when I am playing football games on my PC as well, like fifa or fm, when a player goes to national team and comes back injured I turn mad and that is just a game, this is real life so it must be even worse.

Teams pay millions to these players, and national teams borrow those players for a short term and injure them for long term, so the player got injured during national team time, and yet it is the club that has to pay millions to a player for not playing, that's unfair.

Southgate has had some hard times as well, that shouldn't be forgotten. But when you now look at the players he has available, I think it wouldn't be wrong to talk about a lucky era.

I think this statistic says it all and it goes back to the World Cup in Qatar and I guess it didn't consider Bellingham at his true value.

England was the most expensive squad at the World Cup with a combined 1.5 billion euros. It is quite striking that they are worth about 12% more than the French squad. Southgate can call himself lucky and now it is time for them to win something in the next few years.

I've been a huge fan of the England team, and I've seen some phenomenal generations, such as Beckham, Rooney, Lampard, Michael Owen, Rios Ferdinand, Gerrard and many others, and they've never managed to win the World Cup or Euro in this modern era
Despite playing well, having great teams, well assembled, with great structure, they still haven't managed to win.

Their best opportunity was in the final of the last Euro, which they had everything to win, but I don't know how Italy managed that beat them, look at the situation of the two teams in recent years, Italy is in bad shape, while England has improved even more
An important fact to remember is that the Premier League has gained a lot of strength in recent years and is probably the toughest league out there today

Nowadays the team to beat is France. I already see England as the second best European team, and for next year's Euro they have everything they need to reach the final again, and so far in qualifying, England has done everything right

Losing to England was indeed a heavy blow that they had to accept. Because that means Italy really has to win the remaining matches. But in fact, if Ukraine is also able to win the remaining matches, Italy will still fail to qualify for the next round. And we know that Ukrainen is also a strong team and they also qualified for the next round in the previous season. I think this time they do have a chance to qualify again. Unless they make a mistake in their last match. So the decision will be really interesting because Ukraine has to play Italy at the last.

I guess this is as close as Ukraine was hoping for to get to qualificiation for the Euro 2024. When they saw that the drawing was holding England and Italy for them, I think they did not expect to have a decisive game at the end of the qualification to actually kick one of those teams out and instead go themselves. I am sure that this game will be a hell of a challenge for Italy as I guess everybody has an idea of the fight that Ukraine will give Italy in that game. For Italy it would be massively disappointing to miss the Euro and I think they will show some nervousness.
England boss, Gareth Southgate have made an outstanding de ions, his strict disciplinary measures ought to be followed. England is at the top and will remain so since there doesn't exist any functionality opposition capable of holding them back. England and Ukraine appear to be viable candidates for a position in Euro Group C competition. England is comfortably in the forefront, with Ukraine in second. Italy was expected to be in that spot, but they blew their chance, and they will pay the price for their poor performance against their opponents.

Southgate is indeed lucky but he is not able to utilize the list of talented players before him rather he selects players into his line up with lots of bias. He remains a tactical poor coach.

During the FIFA World Cup Competition, he should have won that game against France to qualify for the finals but he screwed everything.
Let's head back to the Euros and he could have won the game before that penalty shoot out. I don't want to blame him more, you could talk for years and will see no change.

It's the reason i want Pep Guardiola to be managing that squad before they go for the next FIFA World Cup Competition, bit that would only be fantasies you know.

I wanted to see the bookmakers' odds on who qualifies from this group, but for some reason the bookmakers haven't published them yet. I can assume that Italy’s chances will be estimated at about 1.60, the coefficient should not be less because in fact this is a multi-bet: Italy must defeat North Macedonia, which is inconvenient for them, and then not lose to Ukraine. The task is not very difficult, but Italy looks unconvincing in recent games.

I can agree with you on the point that Italy haven't been showing a very impressive performance. Even in the match which they won by 4-0 against Malta their performance didn't convince me. Because they were quite bad at taking advantage of most of their goal chances. There were only a few effective shots which ended up with goals.

I don't even want to say much about the match against England because they were really bad at defending. Considering that North Macedonia gave them an upset before as well one can have doubts about Italy's qualifying chance. But I still want to give Italy a chance over Ukraine when it comes to making it to Euro 2024. Winning against North Macedonia will make things much more comfortable.

As I said before Italy still has a great chance to qualify for the next round, indeed their performance is no better than England but at least Italy is the second best team in the group and Italy only needs to beat Ukraine in the next match because it's an important match. By the way, what do you think about Norway? will they qualify for the next stage? they are 5 points behind and they have to win the remaining 2 matches, if one of the match lose then there is no hope because the maximum point is only 13 and the most important match is to beat Scotland, it will be a challenge especially Norway playing away.

Italy does not have to win two games, they only need to equal the number of points with Ukraine to be ahead - according to the regulations, if the teams have an equal number of points, then the team with the best result in head-to-head matches has priority. Therefore, their task looks quite achievable, but Ukraine has only one option - they need to defeat Italy away.
The battle for who joins England to qualify from the Group C of the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers further became more interesting and competitive after Italy were convincingly beaten at the Wembley stadium yesterday by their England counterparts.
Italy of course still have a very great chance of qualifying from the group but that can only happen when if they can beat Ukraine when the two countries meet for their qualifying game on 20th November. Any result apart from win in that game for Italy is likely to sink their hopes of qualifying through the group and will now have to wait for playoffs.

Gareth Southgate led the Three Lions to the final of European Championship three years ago but were beaten by eventual winners Italy and were beaten by France in the quarter finals of the FIFA World Cup last year.
Gareth Southgate must know that it is time to start winning trophies with this supposed "golden generation". They've already qualified for Euro 2024 and hopefully, he's gonna start winning trophies with that particular tournament

I don't like it when the title is the only award that counts although I know I just said it is time for them to win something. But I also know that the world works like this. It was the same about Messi and that some people said he can't be the GOAT when he doesn't win a World Cup. But winning these titles involves so many things and also luck. Just look how close the final was between Argentina and France and can one of those teams now really be deemed a bad team because they lost a final?
But I think that it is time for England to finally play a final again. Winning it is obviously diifficult as the opponent will be a world class team themselves. They have what it takes now to win tournaments and I am excited to see them playing at the Euro.
