Spain could have lost even against Norway but they were lucky to score early and Norway could not be a threat to them,in that game though they did not show anything scary as they have a great name as Spain.Scotland did not caught them of surprise,they just fully deserved the win because Spain could not respond at all to a great game play by the Scottish team.It is not that Spain took it easy,it is just that they are not in the good performance we all think they are and who knows what surprise results we see in June now in the next games.

Croatia made me lose one of the many tickets yesterday night as I had it both teams to score because I was afraid to bet on money line on such game,now I know the reason why it didn't came,because of the goalkeeper  .

So Croatia won their game against Turkey. If one would look only at the result, it would look like an easy win. But for those of us that watched the game the win was all but easy. Livaković had few amazing saves right at the start of the game. If Turkey scored at that point or if their captain didn't had to be replaced in the first half, who knows how the game would finish up.

As for Spain... I don't know what to say. I didn't watch the game because it was at the sam time as Croatia - Turkey but I'm sure that Scotland really shocked them. Like Polkeins said, Span didn't lose a qualification game in nine years!

In some ways this is a historic match, Spain lost in the qualifier for the first time since 2014. Almost 10 years they did not lose in the qualifiers and here is the second match and a loss.
The Scotland did well, the guys with character, played very strongly, Spain had no chances, but the Scotland could have scored more if not for the goalkeeper, a couple of times Spain was saved from the sure goal.

Taking into consideration the draw between Norway and Georgia, everything is very confused and so far it turns out that Scotland is the favorite of the group, while Spain, Georgia and Norway are fighting for the second place.
In general, Norway with and without Haaland is a completely different team.

Spain team is very strong but did not show good performance against Scotland. Meanwhile, Spain is far ahead in the FIFA ranking, but it is not possible for Spain supporters to accept that Spain lost with Scotland by two goals in the domestic game. Scott MC Tominay is a great striker who scored these two goals. Spain's defenders are a bit weak defensively which allows Scotland to attack easily and get the ball into Spain's goal post. This loss will be very bad news for Spain in the long run.

Looking at the Spain side that played this match, the names are really quite underwhelming. There seems to be very little star quality throughout the side which is very un-Spain and honestly I don't remember the last Spanish side that I thought had less quality on the park. Scotland played very maturely. They have a very powerful team and are very strong physically with some good individuals that can initial wins.

Spain have to improved more to their defense because i have seen this team weren't ready to faced the team with good counter attack that both goals from McTominay was came from these schemes and during the match indeed Spain were very dominate from ball possessions but their players cannot created good opportunities to scores goals and for Scotland 2 wins and scores 5 goals with cleansheet this is good start for them and other teams in group A should be thinking Scotland is strong contender now and credit for McTominay that 4 goals in 2 matches i think he was performing better than Scotland striker

In not very surprising result, Turkiye lost to Croatia at home. Honestly I expected draw or loss from Turkish side before match. Turkish team was lackluster in match against Armenia. But even if they lost, I think Turkish team was definitely better playing side tonight. Turkiye could get one penalty and result could change a lot so quickly. Croatia focused on resisting and they were able to. I still think Croatia will be leader in this group and Turkish team will follow at the end.

The victory by Scotland over Spain was nothing short of a miracle. Scott McTominay was simply exceptional yesterday and he scored twice against the Spaniards. Spain is in the process of rebuilding their team after some of the senior players retired recently, so actually there was room for these upsets. Still their qualification to the main tournament is not under threat AFAIK. The other teams in Group A are not that strong (perhaps with the exception of Håland's one-man army). But Spain can't afford too many upset defeats now, since they have 3 points from 2 matches.

It can be a most memorial match in Scott McTominay career, what a game!

Spain again dominated the game with very high ball possession but it's not a first time they stuck with their domination but fail to score goals. It's bad for Spain as Scotland not only successfully prevent Spain to score goal but they score two goals against Spain. It's a shock defeat for Spain and so far we have two big shocks from Denmark and Spain in Euro 2024 Qualifiers.


I would like to ask what's wrong with McTominay 

It's unbelievable to see he scored winning goals for Scotland and not only one goal but two goals. He helped Scotland to get a first win against Spain after 39 years which is a very long period.

Scotland showed they're not to be underestimated by top teams like Spain. What an incredible win, long overdue but worth the wait. It was the best time to play Spain. They are in transition and missing their key players. They are not the force of old. In fact, there was nothing forceful about them at all here. I just hope the new coach does something about it in quick time because teams are lining up t face them.

It's really surprising to see Spain struggling massively again.
Already in World Cup, Spain had lost to Japan and finally to Morocco (which is a good team but still Spain needs to win of course).
And Scotland made a very good game, could have scored even more goals against Spain.

Spain might have some changes in their squad but honestly, such a weak appearance against Scotland, where Spain didn't score a single goal is too bad even for a shuffled squad...

Norway had to endure a draw in the match in which they took the lead.Norway was the more dominant and better playing team, taking the lead with alexander sörloth in the 15th minute.But unfortunately, they could not make use of the positions they found and although they had more ball at their feet, they could not make use of them and unfortunately they were left with one goal.The Georgian team equalized the situation after 15 minutes in the second half.Thus, I can say that Norway has reduced its chances of getting out of the group by getting 1 point in the two matches played in the group.
Another strange result was Scotland's defeat of Spain.Although Spain dominated the match, it was Scotland who scored the goals. It is necessary to say that Spain played a dominant football from the beginning to the end of the match, but they could not convert this into goals. First one wasn't a surprise result but Scotland to beat Spain was a pretty surprising result for me. Scott McTominay played one of his best games. Scotland needed something like that to beat Spain. This loss of Spain surely hurt Norway and Georgia more. Because Spain will one way or another will advance from this group but Scotland have a huge advantage now.
For Croatia it was important to not lose the game as they draw in first game against Wales. Now they beat Türkiye at away game they recover previous point loss. After beating Latvia, Wales is the leader but six more games will be played so Wales better not to celebrate early.

Croatia really didn't let us down in that they were able to beat the hosts Turkey quite well. even though Turkey has built more attacks, Croatia's defense is still as tight as at the 2022 World Cup. Luka Modric is still performing quite well even though he is now 37 years old. victory with a score of 0-2 is quite deserved by croatia.

but the surprising result actually happened in the match Scotland vs Spain. Scotland as the host has been able to beat Spain. of the 3 opportunities they were able to convert 2 of them into goals. Spain couldn't even score with their nearly 75% possession. this will be a pretty tough step for Spain to play in the next matches. Scotland's strategy to strengthen their midfield which can balance between the defense and attack lines has effectively silenced almost every attack that Spain would build. however I have misjudged Scotland. because I have predicted that Spain will win this match quite easily. but it turns out I was wrong. Scotland, who are the hosts, really know how to dampen Spain's game in this match.

For Kosovo draw with Andorra at home is shameful result. And looking at xG stats, it looks that Kosovo didn't had big advantage today. For Andorra it was rare chance to get point in qualifiers, if we don't pay attention to results in Nations league, they usually lose games, unless they face San Marino.

Damn, I'm glad that I missed to make bet on this game, I already lost enough on other games. Yeah, Spain is new team, but still, loss against Scotland is huge upset. Turkey should pressed to get a point from Croatia but they failed after all. With Wales victory vs Latvia today they passed to the second place and Turkey to the third one.
The fight between these three teams will continue and the result of every single game will count since there will not be a big difference in terms of points by the last match tho

A big blow to Spain indeed, but I don't think they are panicking now. Incidentally, Spain is now also building a new team. All the big names of the last few years, almost nothing is left of them.
