I didn't expect them to even score but they got 2, full credit. They must surely be seen as one of the favourites now, along with Roma -- and again I know Marseille is also in it but they've got a lot of struggles in a poor league.
So I'm in agreement with you, though leaning to Leicester as they're probably going to manage their EPL season to win this:
Leicester > Roma > Marseille > Feyenoord.
Leicester > Roma, how?
Leicester: 9th in the league, 11 wins 11 losses, goal difference 45-48.
Roma: 5th in the league, 17 wins 9 losses, goal difference 53-36.
I understand that these are different championships, but even just psychologically, one team “suffers” the whole season, while the other fights for something more than the middle of the standings. I think Roma is the favorite in this pair and the favorite among all remaining teams to win the title.
Because the EPL is a far more competitive league than Serie A, to me. If you can survive in top half of EPL, you can take on any 5th-6th placed team in Serie A. This is not disrespectful, this is simply the way I see it. Think about it. A coach (Mou) and a star striker (Tammy) who left EPL to find better luck in Serie A.
The team that suffers more can also progress. Leicester weren't even the favourites (they seldom are when Vardy's not fit) but I watch them play and that's a team that's a little unlucky in their league position.
Anyway, we'll both find out regardless of our opinion
