Leicester 1-1 Roma
Feyenoord 3-2 Marseille

Great semifinal tie in the conference league tonight, with Roma hodling Leicester and Marseille fighting hard to have an advantage going to the second leg. The game is open and both teams can be the first teams to play the conference league final come May. Will it be Roma? Leicester?, Marseille or Feyenoord?

I think that in the second leg between Leicester and Roma, we will have another draw and the game will go to extra time or penalties.
They are two coaches who know each other very well, as they have already worked together, and so they know what they have to do to get rid of the opponent. Despite that, I think Roma will go on to the final.

It appears that everything could happen in the second leg! Roma wasn't able to finish the game with 3 points and with that draw, Leicester could surprise them. I am waiting to see Roma in the final but would say 55/45% Roma/Leicester. Marseille in the other hand, made it harder for them! I expect that game to go to extra time or even penalties
I also think that a draw in the match between Leicester and Roma is most likely in favor of Roma, although a draw in the match still makes the final outcome quite unpredictable, because Roma and Leicester themselves are unpredictable teams. A certain piquancy of the confrontation lies in the fact that the head coach of Roma, Jose Mourinho, played an important role in the coaching career of Brendan Rodgers, inviting him to the youth team during his time at Chelsea. I think that Marseille is at least able to eliminate its goal deficit in the second leg with Feyenoord and has a better chance of reaching the Conference League finals, given that the second leg will be held at the home stadium in Marseille.

I also hate that Europa and Conference league semifinals is played on the same time. Both Conference league semifinals were very attractive teams to watch, but West Ham - Eintracht were my first pick on priorities list.
Leicester - Roma, 1:1 result probably resembles game very well. More or less it was game of equal teams.
Feyenoord - Marseille it was awesome game, sad I didn't saw this game in full. Interesting stats - Feyenoord made 2 shots on goal, but somehow scored 3 goals, I don't know how they count stats Cheesy. Important Feyenoord win at home, but 2nd game is going to be great too.

I agree for the time, they should have made a difference between matches or a time difference when they start. Feyenord made a huge step with a win over Marseille . Their offensive football gaved them 1 goal more then Marseille and was enough for the win

The Feyenoord Marseille match was full of spectacle. Where do you still see a score at halftime of 2-2? The match ended in 3-2, but it was also possible to stand 5-6. This week we had a lot of nice matches, that has been different in the European tournaments. Both teams went full on with all the risks that entails. Next week will be a open match again, that is what I am thinking.

Dunno what's happening in Feyenoord 3-2 Marseille but I am a bit surprised. OM was 2 goals behind, they got a draw then Feyenoord get the lead again! Stats seems quite similar.

match was really interesting one, and both teams deserve to be into semi-finals
home team has some advantage before second match, but all in all, everything is open here

had Marseille not to lose, but eventually I would like to see Feyenoord in the final, so not that disappointed with lost parlay, moreover had Chelsea in combination as well

back to topic, Marseille won nine from last ten matches (only lost match is with PSG) and they could be found @1.8+ for x2 with Feyenoord, seems as value bet from my point of view, and hedge as well, since I would like to see Feyenoord with a trophy
Too many games taking place at the same time is the worst thing, you cannot follow them all perfectly. ManU, EL and CL matches...

The other game has Roma in the lead with 1 goal vs Leicester

Which is why I'm having absolutely zero money on tonight's game. Much better to bet big on Chelsea 2/1... heh.

seems that we mostly agree about tonight matches, so probably it will all go other way
Chelsea is my pick tonight as well, this United is shit as hell

Roma is without a doubt one of the best in Italy, it was difficult to beat them, they are very active. Like you, I'm not sure which of those teams are stronger either, the truth is they're all on a balanced level, I think we have to consider the level of desire and motivation that Roma had at least today to win, Marseille has a lot to give, in fact I think that a team like Marseille gets stronger as it gets closer to the final, I've noticed it, it's like Brazil when it's in the World Cups, at first they play half machine, but then they become unstoppable.

I'm probably going to regret it but yeah a punt on Roma to win and Tammy Abraham sounds perfectly logical but I'm still thinking here that while Mourinho's got the experience, he's going to stubbornly want to prove away defence tactics still work, so Leicester will toil and toil but probably end up getting a slim win.

Which is why I'm having absolutely zero money on tonight's game. Much better to bet big on Chelsea 2/1... heh.

Bodo/Glimt amazing journey come to the end. Roma finally did what they were supposed to do. They dominated game, won big and left no questions.
Feel disappointed about Slavia lost, I wanted to see my favourite underdg going far. And they didn't played bad, it was game of tow very similar level teams, Feyenoord simply scored more.
Haven't watched PAOK - Marseille game. Solid stuff from Marseille to win by making just 1 sho on target.
Leicester - Roma and Feyenoord - Marseille in semifinals. Probably everything as it was supposed to be. All teams seems to be similar level and I don't see clear favorite here.

I didn't expect them to even score but they got 2, full credit. They must surely be seen as one of the favourites now, along with Roma -- and again I know Marseille is also in it but they've got a lot of struggles in a poor league.

So I'm in agreement with you, though leaning to Leicester as they're probably going to manage their EPL season to win this:

Leicester > Roma > Marseille > Feyenoord.

Leicester > Roma, how?

Leicester: 9th in the league, 11 wins 11 losses, goal difference 45-48.
Roma: 5th in the league, 17 wins 9 losses, goal difference 53-36.

I understand that these are different championships, but even just psychologically, one team “suffers” the whole season, while the other fights for something more than the middle of the standings. I think Roma is the favorite in this pair and the favorite among all remaining teams to win the title.

Because the EPL is a far more competitive league than Serie A, to me. If you can survive in top half of EPL, you can take on any 5th-6th placed team in Serie A. This is not disrespectful, this is simply the way I see it. Think about it. A coach (Mou) and a star striker (Tammy) who left EPL to find better luck in Serie A.

The team that suffers more can also progress. Leicester weren't even the favourites (they seldom are when Vardy's not fit) but I watch them play and that's a team that's a little unlucky in their league position.

Anyway, we'll both find out regardless of our opinion Wink

4 teams have now confirmed themselves to be in the semifinals and only one step away from all four of them being able to win the confederations trophy, 4 teams from 4 different countries will try their luck this season as the club that won the 2021/22 European conference trophy for the first time, even though the conference trophy is in in the third tier of the european league but it looks like the conference cup can be an opportunity for european football clubs to get a trophy, it is difficult to say which team might advance to the final because the remaining clubs currently have a fairly balanced strength, indeed so far Roma are the favorites to won the confederations cup but I think feyenoord might also surprise us this season, leicester city or feyenoord will be my favorite to champions.
I've never even seen Leicester play in this competition even though they are strong seeds in this new competition. Obviously they deserve more attention especially because they are a good team in the Premier League, but no one can decide anything especially when the form is not as expected. But you can't underestimate Roma either, they've done pretty well this season and they deserve to be in the final too. I think Roma are still better to consider now than Leicester.

Leicester v Roma, I think it should be a final but they are going to be in the semifinals. I think whoever wins this match, it looks like it will be a candidate to win the tournament for the first time, be it Leicester or Roma. Because I'm not so sure about Feyenoord and Marseille although I also realize that both Feyenoord and Marseille this season in the local league are looking very good. But it looks like they are still not strong enough if the competition is with a team from the EPL or Serie A but yes, anything can still happen but I'm just sure that Roma under Mou might have more chances.

Roma literally had their revenge on Bodo/Glimt yesterday. They completely destroyed their opponent by 4-0 and eliminated them 5-2 on aggregate. Zaniolo was the most impressive player of the game for sure. He made a hat-trick and contributed to the team at a huge rate. And their next matchup in the semi finals is going to be against Leipzig. This is going to be really difficult for them surely. Leicester are one of the serious title contenders here and I expect to watch a great rivalry between them to reach the finale.

after today's second legs in the conference league, the semifinals look like this:

https://i.imgur.com/pYaBUqY.png

hard to say who will reach the final - but my favorites here would be as roma and olympique marseille
I were like how lucky is Marseille playing vs Feyenoord until I saw the odds in Stake : Feyenoord 2.32 vs OM 2.95, I assume because they will play home?
For Leicester, they will face Roma. Same thing and literally same odds with Leicester are the favourite team to win. I believe Roma could get a draw there or even win the game.

Roma vs Marseille in the finals ?

I can already see this game taking place as both teams are having a great run in European Competitions with both of them deserving to win the trophy so far. Who will win it ? I will go with Marseille if they reach the final just because of the fans and also that if they play against Roma ( i'm a lazio fan ) , I would like to see them losing the finals.

Last night , we had some great games but I still wonder why did Paok not score ? they had crazy chances!

Yes, I also think that the final will be like this (although all teams have a chance here and there is not much difference in the strength of the teams). I think Roma under Mourinho will be the favorite in the final. Marseille will have a difficult game against PSG away in two days and we will see how ready it is for "serious" matches.

I agree about Roma although Leicester are not to be underestimated. Roma have done better under Jose Mourinho this season in my opinion even though they haven't been good enough in the league. Roma managed to be ranked 5th in Serie A and are only 5 points adrift of the last place to qualify for the Champions League. Everything is still possible to hope for in both the UEFA Europa Conference League and Serie A.

Leicester haven't been very impressive so far with 11 defeats in their 29 Premier League match, they still have a chance to move up to a place higher than 9 considering there are some games pending, but they are no better than Wolves who are one level above them.
