AS Roma and Feyenoord have played nice matches throughout the tournament. I think the Conference league finalists might have been stronger than the Europa League final. Only in the beginning of the tournament do you see that smaller teams participate in the conf league, but that is only the case in the initial stage. Money now for Feyenoord because they are losing finalists that they can at least participate in the EL next year? They made a big impression on me.

Jose Mourinho was aware of the opponent's weakness. As a coach you try to analyse your opposition players and capitalize on their weaknesses that's exactly what Jose Mourinho does to the big games. And he is very successful at that. So indeed, the team that Mourinho coached at least had a chance to win the title in one of the existing tournaments. Congrats to Jose.
As a coach, it becomes a matter of necessity for you to be aware or at least have some speculative idea on what could be the situation in your opposition team and then, you work on it as well as guide against yours. Jose Mourinho is an experienced coach and have coached top teams in several leagues, won trophy with most of the clubs he managed too but sadly, he often encounters some issues within his team and eventually lives the team. I hope this doensg become the case with AS Roma with Jose Mourinho.
He has been able to assume control over his team, detrmine the roles that suits each player better and his got a trophy to commensurate his effort. Congrats to Jose Mourinho and his AS Roma side.

The first man to win 3 different European cups, the man who won all 5 finals in European cups, the man who won the first European cup in the history of Rome, the first man to win the Conference League... He is a special man. He won the trophy in Europe in his first year in Rome and on his first try. With this inadequate squad, he finished Serie A in the best place he could. One of his most important players returned in the last 2 games of the season. Critical names were injured, some played without rest. It was a really good match. In fact, Feyenoord attacking very heavily, especially between the 45th and 60th minutes. But the ball returning from the post was the breaking moment of the match. Congratulations to Rome.

The merit of Mourinho in this victory is really difficult to overestimate - he achieved the maximum with a weakened (compared to the previous season) team and, in addition to the title of the Conference League, Roma took a place one line higher than last year. It will be interesting to see what opportunities he has to build a team in the summer - if Roma manages to strengthen its squad then Mourinho will be in contention for bigger titles.

Now we hope that Mourinho doesn't get too cocky, as on other occasions, and start making childish mistakes.
But I don't think so, he seems to be very involved in this Roma project, and will probably stay there for a good couple of years, and bring more joy to Roma fans.

Roma did a great job in the Europa Conference League and deserved that title absolutely. I think they were already one of the favourites for the title from the beginning of the tournament. Roma started to play better after Mourinho became their manager. They were more impressive in this tournament compared to the Serie A. Feyenoord were a serious opponent for them as they also eliminated important teams before. But when there were an opponent like Roma against them, it is hard to choose Feyenoord to win that game. Huge congrats to Roma for winning the title!

You'll never see him win anything more than a goal ahead.
That's simply how Jose Mourinho plays, the game Chelsea played against Real Madrid, if that was Jose Mourinho, Real Madrid would have not been playing in the finals tomorrow. You wanted two goals to qualify and you had three you as a Coach should know when to stop attacking. So he lost I mean Tuchel for attacking Madrid too much after reaching out to he's target.

Usually the one who criticizes this style of play is the one who loses. Whoever wins is satisfied, even if it wasn't a pretty game. I think it's a bit exaggerated to say that Mourinho played defensively, despite the fact that in the second half he adopted a counterattack strategy. But even to defend you have to know how to do it.

I agree that Mourinho's game strategy is more practical, and not so pretty. But it's not Mourinho who has to change his strategy when it works, it's the opponent who has to know how to control that strategy.

Is it spectacular football? Not. Do I like football more like Man City or Liverpool? Yup. But, a good coach is also the one who uses the best tactic, for his team to win.

Yes, yes it might not seem a beautiful way to play football and a lot of people are also not going to appreciate it.

But a coach does not need people's appreciation to win the match. It is important that a coach attack with a tactic that is the most important for a win. I think he tries to do that and even though it is not the most popular way, and even though I do not think that it is the most optimal way, I believe the approach is right from the coach.

Yes his ability to read his opponents so well and even try to confuse them with his mind games keeps him at the top..he has the history of playing with opposition managers psychologically..and put them under some kind of pressure, he tries to absorb the opposition attacking pressure and hit them on a counter..he is also known for coaching one of the fastest counter attacking team in history which is the Real Madrid side of 2012 season with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo,Karim BENZEMA, Higuin, Di'Maria, Mesuit Ozil their transition from defense to attack was something special..strong physically and fast and the turned defense into attacks and scored goals too..his defensive approach started from his Chelsea days because he had the likes or Arsenal and Manchester United to deal with ..his playing style in his Porto days was not defending until he got to the round of 16 in the champions League against Manchester United and other great team which his Porto side wouldn't have won had it not been his defensive approach to the game

Yes, I actually remember a match against Real Madrid. I think it was in 2013. Real Madrid was winning the match 3-0. And they had only 37% of possession of the ball. All they did was counter-attacking and convert small chances into goals.

But the problem is in this era of football, you have to be the aggressor because if you sit behind and try to defend everything you will eventually leave gaps in your defense. The type of pace current footballers have is really hard to defend. To me, it seems like his style is a little outdated.

Jose is a big Coach, he had bad spell's at the premier league.
But he is currently making them back, I think he had one of he's best manegerial roles as head coach at Italy and Portugal.
Next season he will get the players he wants and sure thing is the top four or another great season

I believe he is a coach with great game sense. I have seen some clips of him telling his team what to do and what might happen on the field and in the match, exactly that thing happened what he said would happen. so, I believe he is someone who has a very good understanding of this game and he is very good at predicting his opponents. so far he has been very successful even though a lot of his methods are not very popular.

God is great
I am very happy for Roma, after years of efforts and sacrifices a good result arrives
I see it as difficult that it is thanks to Mourinho, it is thanks to the team that for years had already reached 5th or 6th place in the Italian classification\
That's right, this is a good achievement for them considering that in this case they managed to bring a trophy which they had not gotten for a long time and of course this brought happiness to the Romanisti who had been waiting for this for a long time.
The fact is that even though Mou has been criticized a lot even by their fans, he still gave something beautiful at the end of this season

This Victory of roma will help them to achieve more trophy in the future,  it has strengthen the team to have the mentality of winning more trophy. Roma just proved to their fans expect good performance, I can't wait to see roma with their best performance in the next season under Mourinho watch .

Jose Mourinho is one of the best coach currently in the Seria League. One thing with Mourinho is that, no matter how worse is a team, he will always make sure the team lifts a trophy. He did it with Chelsea, Manchester United and he is doing it with AS Roma. I think the manager have few years to manage the club and Hugh achievements are expected of him. He is a kind of coach that has interest in young players, like Tammy Abraham he brought from Chelsea, he made good use of the Englishman, and turn him into a goal machine for the club.
The final match was completely Mourinho style, very attentive defensive play, minimum 1-0 victory. But if this strategy works for him, then why not use it. The fact is that many analysts consider his style of play to be outdated, but he does not want to change, but clearly adheres to his opinion and his tactics, which helped him win many cups with different teams. He is a kind of genius that not everyone can understand.

Jose Mourinho is truly a great coach, despite his controversial predicate.  Mourinho has proven his magic at several clubs he has handled.  In Italy, The Special One is also very special, he has successfully carved gold ink in the history of AS Roma after winning the Conference League and 12 years ago this Portuguese man also made history for Inter Milan.  The Nerazzurri were successfully orbited by Mourinho into a treble-winning club, the Serie A champions, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.
He has made his name over the Europe from Portugal to England, Italy and Spain. Now he is back to Italy and has his best time in last few years. The only big league Mourinho has yet had any experience is Bundesliga, next is Ligue 1. The lazt one is managing a national team.
So far Mourinho wins many titles from clubs with limited financial resources like Porto and Roma to rich clubs like Chelsea and Real Madrid. He is a very successful coach.

I think he is someone who you can predict what might happen in the match very well but the problem is the solution that he comes up with to overcome that exact situation is not the best in my opinion.

I believe he was once a very good coach but he has made some controversial decisions along the way. but that should not obviously bring down the fact that he has achieved great success. Right now I don't think he is someone who will be able to handle a top tier team.

Assalamu Alekum
It's just that Mourinho acted according to his favorite tactics when, after scoring a goal in the first half, Roma simply defended the winning score. Feyenoord had to fight back and therefore seized the initiative and began to actively attack from the beginning of the second half, when he carried out dangerous attacks. In such matches with such opponents, luck plays an important role and luck was on the side of Mourinho's wards. Where Roma goalkeeper Rui Patricio, who had a great match, could not cope, the frame of the gate came to the aid of the Roman club. However, I had a strong feeling that Roma was able to add and move from defensive actions to attack, if Feyenoord would still have equalized the match.
Exactly, any manager who knows Jose's tactics will always attack and score against Mourinho's team first before any other thing because Jose is one coach that will never allow you to getaway with a point after scoring before you especially when your team is playing better than his team or possessing the ball more. Feyenoord was good in attacks and they were mostly in control of the game but when Roma got the goal in the first half, Jose Mourinho reminded them of his tactics which are to secure your goal before going for more, this is his winning tactics in difficult games and it has been working for his team no wonder he calls himself the specal one.

I think the current situation in football is just a little too fast for the kind of tactics that Jose Mourinho tries to apply.
He is a very defensive-minded coach and that is not the way to go in recent football because it is very easy nowadays to make a comeback.
With just scoring one goal and sitting behind to defend is not the way to go right now in my opinion.
That is the reason why I think he might get some success with what he can do but that is with the mid-tier teams.

Duke

He is rebuilding the Roma team, and will probably stay at the club for a good couple of years. We have to see that Roma haven't made any big signings this season, apart from the coach. So Mourinho was working on the team he had last year. That's why in a year's time we will be able to make a more careful analysis of the work carried out by Mourinho.
He is doing both. Rebuilding Roma. Rebuilding his career too. And so far so good for him and Roma.

He loves the club, he loves the warm support from Romanista since his first day in Rome. Likely he loves how the whole city on fire in celebration of the Conference League trophy.
