Jose Mourinho is known as a coach who plays negative football in order to achieve positive results. The many tactics he applies at every club he coaches make the game so boring. Despite the harsh satire, the man from Portugal remained indifferent and played his version of football. Mourinho explicitly said his choice to play negative could not be separated from the fact that he wanted to achieve maximum results. There's nothing wrong with saying Mourinho. For the team he worked for, his pragmatic game was considered entertaining because of the results he got. However, for the opponents who face, the tactics applied by the coach nicknamed 'The Special One' is very annoying.
All this talk about negative football is complete nonsense. Even Atlético fans are happy with titles if negative football gives them. And by the way, I would not say that all Mourinho's teams played according to the same scheme - he proceeds from the possibilities that he has. Obviously, Roma cannot play like Real Madrid, which he also coached and who won the title from Guardiola's Barcelona.
I don't believe in this 'negative football ' crap. I believe a team can do whatever they need to in search of better results. Even if that means playing a little dirty. I think Jose Mourinho has done a good job with this team. To be honest, at some points it did look like this team could do better but several times it feels like the team is not going to even finish in the top six. And to have top-tier performance with this team the coach needs a little more time and a little more money to spend.
