Juventus' performance against Sporting wasn't impressive at all. It was a really competitive matchup about the score maybe but I didn't like Juventus in any legs. I don't know if they can apply the same game plan against Sevilla as well. Considering that Sevilla are the most dominant team of the Europa League for years it will be really hard.
I agree with you. It cannot be said that Juventus' performance against Sporting was very good. Sporting played well enough. Sporting's performance was even better than Juventus's in the second leg. Juventus were able to qualify for the semi-finals due to being an experienced team. There is no way to call the Sevilla team weak. The Sevilla team had a great performance against Manchester United. And if they can put up a similar performance against Juventus then I think Sevilla will be able to qualify for the final.
Sporting played well against Juventus, it's just that maybe they weren't too lucky to qualify for the semifinals. But overall they played well and if they can go through they deserve it in my opinion. Now that all has passed and the opponents they will be facing are already in these semifinals, so they better focus on the matches that are coming up.
Juventus will play against Sevilla and also, AS Roma will play against Bayer Leverkusen. I'm a little concerned about the Serie A teams at this moment, because in the Champions League the Serie A teams will face each other in the semifinals but, does that mean the Serie A teams in the Europa League will experience the same thing and is it possible that Juventus and AS Roma will also play in the Europa League final this time.
Indeed, if we consider Sevilla and Bayer Leverkusen, basically Sevilla and Bayer Leverkusen also have a good chance of qualifying for the final. However, I personally just feel like the Serie A teams this season have a good chance to go further and for me it will still be interesting.
So far Italian teams have dominated several European competitions and as you said it is still a possibility for Juventus and Roma to meet in the European league finals. But what is certain is that their opponents this time are not easy opponents to beat, both Sevilla and Leverkusen recorded consistent wins in the previous round and managed to advance to this semifinal. Even so, I think Juventus' chances of qualifying are greater than Roma. The match is still going on long enough and the results can still change depending on whether the team can continue to be consistent or not in the domestic league because that is also a definite consideration towards this semifinal.
Yes, Serie A clubs can dominate competitions in Europe, their representatives managed to be the most in 2 prestigious competitions, the Champions League and the European League, at least until this semifinal. AS Roma and Juventus are good clubs, they have the chance to meet in the final. But I agree Sevilla and Leverkusen are not clubs they will beat easily. They managed to show their best in the European League even though in the domestic league they are still very difficult to compete in the top flight.
