When comparing the two coaches, the name Erik ten hag is still above Xavi when it comes to his contribution to the club. Erik ten hag was successful with Ajax, that's why the red devils brought him to Old Trafford to train Manchester United now, while Xavi might have helped him with his contribution as a Barcelona legend which allowed him to now train Barcelona's main club. It will take time for Xavi to be compared to a coach as great as Erik ten Hag and I think Xavi can achieve that in a few seasons.
Now it's not the right time to compare because Xavi hasn't coached Barcelona for too long, even though Xavi will be great if he can lead Barcelona to win two different competitions this season. But apart from all that, I just want to see them compete really well in the Europa League because lately the two teams have started to improve the way they play in their respective domestic leagues in order to be better this season, including for the Europa League competition.
I agree that Erik Ten Hag is now better than Xavi Hernandez, he is also a coach who has more experience compared to the Barcelona coach now. We will see how they prove on the field, because this is their first meeting because as far as I can remember these two people have never met before as coaches. Manchester United vs Barcelona is one of the big matches that will be played early.
Well, between the two of them, I think that for me, in my very personal opinion, Xavi is much better, because Te Hag seems to me to be too arrogant, he does not accept mistakes and, apart from everything, he is a person who always believes he is right, for me Man United I lost many things from being first in the League, and apart from that they fell to the Europa League, and it is not that the Europa League is a reduction, but when we compare it with the UCL it is of much more privilege and prestige, that is, they are the best one of the best, so in the next match between these two teams I would like to see the presentation of both, because I think that Xavi will not lose, I think that in these instances they prefer to lose against Madrid than against Man United.
Right now Manchester United have solid player in midfielder after new signing Marcel Sabitzer from Bayern Munich with loan option, but Barcelona have bad news without any new player signing and they have losing Dembele three weeks later after injuring.
The absence of Dembele will be the beginning of the sluggish attack. Marcel Sabitzer will surely make great impact against Barcelona. News have it that he is set to play against their clash with crystal Palace. Manchester United might be more prepared for this meeting than Barcelona.
Many think that Manchester is in a better position and is not better prepared for this game, however I remain firm in what I think, I don't see Manchester as better than Barcelona, for me Barcelona is focused and when they are like this the concentration is maximum, not only in the league, but I also know that they will focus very well on the Europa League, it's something simple, they are first in the League table, and they want to be many leaders of the Europa League, I think Xavi has it He is clear this time, he cannot fail any more, otherwise he will leave, I think that now Xavi will play everything for everything, and I don't think that this time he will waste that opportunity.
Official: Barcelona squad list for the 2022/23 Europa League
Barcelona’s official squad has been updated ahead of their fixture against Manchester United in the Europa League knockout round. The two sides will meet at the Camp Nou on 16th February, with the Old Trafford game scheduled for 23rd.
Four goalkeepers have been penned for the competition, with Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Inaki Pena featuring as the senior representatives. Arnau Tenas and Ander Astralaga have been called from the reserve side.
All defenders make it to the list, along with Barcelona Atletic callups Marc Casado and Chadi Riad.
There is an interesting change in midfield, though. While Gavi has been officially registered to the senior team in La Liga with the #6 jersey, he will continue to wear #30 in the Europa League because of his registration in the Champions League.
