I would say Arsenal and Barcelona seems like the best ones out there for sure. I mean they are both leading their own leagues, and we are not really too used to seeing teams that lead one of the five big leagues to actually not be in the europa.

If you are leading premier league or la liga, then you are 99% chance in UCL or very least eliminated from UCL at quarter finals or something, you are not at this early stage of Europa. Which is why it looks like those two should be able to win it, and they are the biggest candidates. If that's not the case then I am sure it will be a shocker, like United could beat Barcelona and Arsenal both because they are on a great streak.

Arsenal definitely have a big shot at both European trophy and the league after a long years of waiting. Not withstanding, Arsenal squad depth still looks a little lacking to compete in both competitions. As we get into the knockout stages the fixtures will start getting congested and this is not something Arsenal young squad can withstand. If Arsenal can get a Striker and possibly a defensive midfielder this transfer then they might be able to handle the pressure but a thing short of the two, then should rather focus on the league more.

Even if we take into account that either United or Barcelona will be left out of the tournament, there are still Arsenal, Monaco, Juventus, PSV, Roma, Ajax. And the rest of the clubs (except Midtjylland) can surprise.  I remember how last season everyone thought that Barcelona would win the Europa League since it was there (and Xavi said that Barcelona did not have this title yet and it would be good to win it), but in the end, Eintracht became the strongest club. This is a random tournament and it is even difficult to predict the participants in the final (hardly anyone was waiting for Eintracht - Rangers last year).

Regardless of what the results will be, the match between Barcelona against Man United is indeed a spectacle worth waiting for. Even though both teams are arguably not at their best but they are still big teams in their respective leagues, so the match between Barcelona and Man United will definitely present something interesting or even a surprise. They both have equal chances of winning, but personally, I am cheering for Man United.

for both teams, this fight will be very important. It's hard to predict in this fight. MU is now starting to improve, but sometimes they lose focus. Barcelona also had the same problem.
the match will certainly be interesting, a tactic war between Ten Hag and Xavi. if MU can break the domination of Barcelona's midfield control. it could be an opportunity for MU to get win. now MU has a line of defense and midfield that is quite tough.

Manchester United form in the Europa league  have been at top level,  they have only lost one and won 5 games. The playoff fixture against Barcelona will be test of their consistency level because it looks like they are finally finding the balance under Ten Hag's management. Manchester United perform better against top teams and Barcelona will be no different from others but it is a 50/50 game and anyone could win.

To realize two trophies at once this season, the Gunners' young squad must work hard to achieve it. Arsenal could have slipped, because after all they have a busy schedule of matches. What's more, one of Arsenal's core players is still injured and must be absent at least until next March. As for Nketiah, he hasn't shown a truly outstanding appearance and sharpness as a pure striker. but naturally, he still needs time to become even greater.

Apart from all that, one of Arteta's main targets is the Premier League trophy. at least Arteta has to bring his troops to appear consistently in each of their matches in the domestic league, after that they can concentrate on the Europa League. however, Arteta still needs additional ammunition to strengthen his squad and Mudryk is one of them, Arteta also still has to bring in additional pure midfielders and strikers. that way, Arsenal will be even tougher and become one of the strong candidates in this competition.

If you compare the state of performance of the teams Arsenal will compete with in the play-off round I think arsenal is more superior in performance than they are, arsenal has big chances of winning the europa league.  Mikel Arteta and arsenal has decides for the team to be champion this season no going go back. I don't see any team in the Europa league that can be a threat to arsenal , might likely win the league this season because they have clean record.

There are actually quite a few candidates for the Europa League title, even though the Arsenal team has slightly more abilities when compared to other teams in the Europa League. But for predictions that are easier to say is after the play-off round is over because there are several strong teams that will compete in the play-off round and several teams will obviously experience miscarriage so everyone will see clearly which team has the potential to continue to survive and become champion in Europa League this season

It's very strange, but I haven't seen any matches involving Arsenal in this Europa League. Of all the English clubs in the Europa League, there is only Manchester United who will be playing Barcelona. This will probably be the most interesting match of all the upcoming ones. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough?

Manchester United have so great form recently and Barcelona are no longer strong like they were years ago. It helps to make their matches more balancing and increases chance for Manchester United. Barcelona are a little stronger than Manchester United in this season but Manchester United are stronger than Frankfurt.

It is a hard question to answer as maybe they are in a groups of best clubs in Europe but at upper and lower positions. If small clubs can beat Barcelona, Manchester United have bigger chance to beat them. It is not like surely United will win against Barcelona, it's just they have a chance.

Arsenal is one of the strong candidates to win the European league this season. Indeed, their achievements have only been seen this season and even in the regular league they have had very good performance. As for several other strong teams in the European league, it doesn't seem to be a problem for Arsenal because Mikel Arteta has a good strategy for his young players.

Yup, there is still enough time to improve for MU and Barcelona. This will be the most interesting match of all the matches in this round. Other matches like Sevilla vs PSV, Juventus vs Nantes are matches that the hosts maybe get win. Meanwhile, Barca vs MU match is still a hot topic of discussion. because we all see MU performance is not completely consistent, while Barcelona also some people say if they are not ready with the current players to compete in European competitions.

Maybe your intention is to win the Europa League, because Arsenal don't play in the Champions League.
Yes they have a chance at that if they can perform like they are doing now. Mikel Arteta knows what he has to do with this team so we see Arsenal as they are today, and some of the transfers they have made have gone quite well with the players they have managed to recruit able to contribute a lot to the team.

Head to head predictions in this game will not be correct, currently both team are inform, but Manchester united has more advantage in teams of quality players than Barcelona currently. And if this match is fix today Manchester united will win Barcelona will high margin.

Let's see how it is going on. I saw bunch of people last year said the same thing as you when barcelona faced frankfurt, Mu is doing so well in any of EPL matches. Barcelona may have good result in head to head against MU but i think that the chance for both would be the same.
There will be so many surprises going to happen when MU will be against barcelona. I pick MU in this case. Barcelona looks strong enough but i think that i will be risking myself with it.

The match is still very long to go. I hope that there will be so many improvements to be happened with MU

@LUCKMCFLY you’re completely wrong about Ten Hag because he has brought back the disciplinary approach, and now the player’s are scared of the coach and earlier the coach at Manchester United would be scared to take bold calls. Furthermore in my personal opinion Ten Hag needs to be backed in the January transfer window, and then he can probably buy a player or two that can help him defeat Barcelona and in the end help the club win the Europa league too.  

Looking on head to head all Manchester United fans can't forget about Lionel Messi goals at Champion League final season 2008/2009 and Barcelona won 2-0 goals. Manchester United performance in this season more quite well better due Erik Tan Hag has impressive performance and 20 won of 27 matches become fantastic record for first manager at last several season.

I doubt with Barcelona performance in Europe League, due managed first La Liga standing position and have three points left with Real Madrid still not sure having consistency performance because facing bigger team. I don't have much faith in Manchester United, they may win some games, but for my biggest mistake of that club is the technical director, and it's not just because of what he did to CR7, that's the least of it, what The more he does things wrong and blame another player or players, for me such an arrogant person should not be in a team, only his energy makes things go wrong, if Manchester United change coach, I believe that things can occur in the best way. For me Manchester has a great treasure in terms of its players, but things really go wrong, and it's not their fault, maybe with defeats they mature more, but being in the Europa League for so long is a failure for a club of this category.



I don't really think like that, I think quite the opposite, for me what Ten Hag has done the most is hurt Manchester United, but I honestly think that if they fire Ten Hag and hire someone else, who saea, that team will start to resurface, for me Ten Hag is a technical director who is quite rude, apart from that he is very radical, if he did not put CR7 in the games knowing that he is a star he speaks very badly as a person, then it is impossible for me, having stars, to leave them in Banking is something that, at least for me, doesn't fit in my head, so if he does that, he's capable of doing anything.

United is really doing well . They are having a different fun in the world of football in various leagues and domestic matches as well. I enjoy United's game on Tv when I have free time between office and daily work. Their game is really great .  They are expected to do much more better in football game in future.
