Bayer Leverkusen tried everything to overcome Roma, they created chances and shots, but the goal just didn't come. I think they were unfortunate to have played against a Mourinho’s side at this stage of the competition. saw a steel in Mourinho's Roma. They defended a one goal advantage for 90 minutes. Bayer Leverkusen played everything in their books and got frustrated. That is classic Mourinho.
Roma played like big wall of china. Any ball that came to the its field being kicked out. That was making leverkusen's layers are frustating about how to make the aggregate to be the same. The most effective way that always being used by mourinho is forcing its opponent to attacking the club while it was forgetting about how important the defensive line is. Leverkusen used everything to win against roma but roma is far stronger compared with leverkusen in term of defensive.

I feel Mourinho might experiment this strategy against Sevilla. He will allow Sevilla do the playing while his Roma will score a goal and defend it with their lives.
This is not even an experiment. If you were regularly watching the best coach like mourinho and you would be very familar with this kind of strategy.

Mourinho was also using this strategy to win UCL against barcelona and porto.
That's realy workst when it came to the intensive game.

Mourinho is mostly giving trophy to the club that he managed.

This is like the summary of the Leverkusen v Roma match last night. It was a match in which Leverkusen were trying hard to score at least one goal while Roma players were focused on fending off all the attacks only. Because it was really the only thing Roma did in this match. It is due to Mourinho indeed. If they had a manager who likes to play offense focused then we wouldn't have seen such defensive game from them.

This was a risk to take which would have turned into a disaster for Roma as well. Because if Leverkusen were able to score a goal early in the match then they would have used this as a boost to go for more in front of their supporters. There were many times that Mourinho's system worked out in the Champions League as well though. Hence I wouldn't like to disrespect that anyway despite not liking it at all.

Really disappointed with Leverkussen yesterday night as they missed the qualification in a clamorous way,we all know Mourinho likes to park the bus and it is exactly what he did yesterday night but I am astonished at the inability of Leverkussen coach and his team to find a way to break through that defense, they hit the goal more than 20 times but all of them were in vain and also Rui Patricio is the hero of the game having made six super saves in yesterday game,it was not only bad luck for Leverkussen,as I said it was also the inability to change things from their coach and his team.

I had loss from the way the match turned out yeststerday night, but looking at it from another angle, you don't have to blame Leverkusen because they did everything to score but Roma just got lucky, they were lucky that all the chances Leverkusen had didn't result to any goal. Did you know that Leverkusen had about 6 shots on Target in that match while Roma had nothing, the ball possession says everything in that match but football is luck sometimes and they had that move them to the final but I'm very sure Roma would have to improve from the way they play yesterday if not, Sevilla wouldn't give a room for this kind of luck they had in the final.

Leverkusen is playing at home this time against Roma and this can help them to have more chance agagnist this time but I guess Roma is going to play defensive and they should try protecting the only goal they scored in this match, however if Roma start defnecie playing style Leverkusen still should be careful about the counter-attacks.
As I said, Roma did play very closed from the start and that was done throughout the game. Roma focused on defense and their defensive strategy was quite successful in making many of Leverkusen's chances go to waste. I saw that Leverkusen did a very good job, but it's a shame that their efforts didn't pay off because Mourinho and his strategy managed to block all chances.

My expectations about the final between Roma and Sevilla turned out to be true. Sevilla beat Juventus at home and it was a good mentality for them to prove to anyone who doubted it.

But Roma's style also raises the question whether it is time for soccer to introduce net play time like in hockey or basketball. When every couple of minutes a player sinks to the ground and claims that he is injured and then wastes another two minutes of play time, that is unsportsmanlike conduct. Having a stopwatch that is on halt every time the game can't continue, it would be much better than it is now. The incentive to waste actual play time is too significant and the referee can't do much about it. If a player claims to feel pain and can't walk off the pitch, it's at least two minutes going to waste every single time. But should that really be an essential part of high level games? I don't think so and I hope that one day the rules get an overhaul.

What a great result from as roma. There have been many haters were critizing about how boring the strategy that used by mourinho even some of them called that as the oldest strategy that is still exists but they were just butthurt to the what already achieved by roma. Playing bad or good didn't matter as long as you would be able winning the game caused by it's the main target that wanna be achieved by anyone here. As roma was making no shots on target and it's also losing ball possession against leverkusen.

Xabi must have learned about how to build a proper strategy as it's facing the best coach that has ever existed right now. Im very happy to see how boring strategy able to beta what people called as modern strategy.
Congratulation for as roma as it's being quaified to play in budapest at the end of this month.

Roma fans would always be remember mourinho as the best decision that has ever made by the club.

0-0 In the 1st half between Juventus and Sevilla.

A lot of things happened, including a post for Juventus and a removed goal for Juventus due to offside.

The game is open and anything can still happen

Sevilla gain more opportunities in the second half to equalized the goal and use the extra time to achieved the winning goal to defeated Juventus 2-1. It was a great celebration in the camp of Sevilla for the victory they got from the UEFA champions league semi-finals, because many people predicted for the favour of Juventus based on what happened in the first leg but Sevilla used all their strength and tactics to use home advantage to embraced victory at the end of the match. Juventus was in good position to win the match in the second half but they misused their opportunity that gave Sevilla access to the victory.
Sevilla taking down Juventus? Talk about a blockbuster headline! It was a scene right out of a chess master's playbook, Sevilla calmly waiting, then boom! Striking like a cobra when the opportunity arose. They owned the second half, and rule it? They did like kings!

And Juventus? What happened to our Italian giants? Were they exhausted post-World Cup? Or did they misplace their magic sauce? It was akin to seeing Superman without his cape, right?

Now all eyes are on Sevilla. With this win, they've punched their ticket to the finals. Will they keep riding this golden wave, or will they trip at the last step? Sevilla's a powerhouse, no doubt, but I'm secretly rooting for Mourinho to hoist that trophy with Roma!
I don't know about Roma in this final. Sevilla are now a very formidable opponent for them. Sevilla have beaten Manchester United and Juventus, although a lot of people said they would be champions. The final encounter will really be very interesting. I think Sevilla have a better chance here as Roma are not in the best shape at the moment. Sevilla have a good attack and Roma have a poor defence.

I don't even care what strategy that used by mourinho as long as it was winning and that's more than enough. It will be far better played so badly but winning the trophy rather than play beautiful with no trophy. It must become the main concern here.
I saw how leverkusen tried so hard to break the wall by bayern. Mourinho was the most successful coach. I don't even think if pep will able to do that to handle a poor club that was only giving 7 millions budget to bought the new player in the last transfer season.

The special one is amazing. I don't care how many critics were coming to him but he was actually really genius person.

What a great defensive from as roma. Leverkusen like does nothing. It's very effective to reduce the attack by leverkusen.

Of course, Mourinho will have to think of a different and more aggressive strategy to win the title. two games against Leverkusen which I think shows Mourinho's strategy has not changed. Rome is still relying on its defensive strategy. even in the second leg against Leverkusen, they did not create a single chance.
the final match is not only about the readiness of the players. but also the strategic war of trainers. a better-prepared team has a greater chance of winning. but the team that can anticipate the opponent's strategy has a better chance of winning. let's see how Mourinho will surprise.
Mourinho knows that with his tired players, it will be nightmare for Roma if they participate in the physical fighting and races with Bayern Leverkusen players. They will not be able to win and this fact together with good advantage Roma got from a semi final fist leg, Mourinho does not have reason to let his players play too openly in the second leg.

He knows what risks are and what Roma must complete to play in the final match. It is more easily when they knew what are their objectives in the second leg and focus on it in 90 minutes to get what they chase for.

Roma simply blocked Leverkusen very well and they did got a good result and reserve some attacking players for further recoveries before the final match. They successfully avoided to use Dybala and El Sharawy when those attacking players are not fully ready. They will have about 2 more weeks for recovery and their appearances in final match in Budapest will be very helpful for Roma.

What if both AS Roma and Manchester City win their final matches in Europa League and Champions League?

We will have an European Super Cub match in a next season? It will be a very interesting meeting between Mourinho and Pep Guardiola after many years.

In the final, Roma need to come up with a much better strategy than the one they used against Bayer Leverkusen. Because Sevilla is a very different team from Bayer Leverkusen, Roma must really be aware of this so they can prepare their strategy from the start. Because in the final every team will play their best for a trophy this season and Roma also need to attack better as well as have to defend so they don't concede.

This won't work against Sevilla. If Roma wants to win against Sevilla, they better come out and play them, and take the game to them. Sevilla is used to opponents playing a low block. A lot of teams in La Liga play with a low block but with more technicality. Although they may not be as good as Mourinho's, that pattern of play is not new to Sevilla. In fact, Sevilla likes to be comfortable on the ball and when you allow them to be comfortable on the ball, they can cause trouble for you.
Sevilla is experienced, unlike Leverkusen. They are also physical and can defend well.
Another thing is, Roma doesn't have a goal advantage like they had over Leverkusen, so they will want to get a goal before defending, which can make things messy for them.

It must be admitted that Sevilla's experience in the Europa League deserves a thumbs up and in the match against Juventus I saw that Sevilla did not want to lose, especially in front of their supporters. So that their hard work and efforts paid off very well and were able to beat Juventus with a score of 2-1 with an aggregate of 3-2, and in that match the Juventus players experienced great pressure and also lost in experience.
and I fear that Roma will suffer the same fate in the final against Sevilla who are dubbed the kings of the Europa League, and for sure Sevilla will also be determined to secure and go on with their seventh Europa League title.
Sevilla outperforms my expectations in the second half. When Juventus first scored them in the 65mins into the match, they launched a different type of comeback attack. They came out in force to make sure they beat Juventus or draw the score at least before the end of the second half. Am happy that the extra time added to the match ends in their favor.

From the 66th minute until the finish of the game, Sevilla dominated the second half. Even though both teams miss so many goal opportunities.

Sevilla will be competing in the Europa League final for the second time in four years when they take on Roma. They last won the Europa League in the 2019–2020 season.

UEFA Europa League semi-final second leg was between Bayer Leverkusen and Roma at yesterday. Roma reached the Europa League final, drawing 0-0 against Bayer Leverkusen to secure a 1-0 victory on aggregate in their semifinal. José Mourinho left in tears as Roma reaches Europa League final. Roma will now face Sevilla in the Europa League final at Budapest’s Puskás Aréna on May 31.

I also congratulate the Bayern Leverkusen team. They fought very well. Bayer Leverkusen had 72% possession, and engineering 23 shots. Forward Moussa Diaby perhaps came closest to that elusive goal for Leverkusen but his effort hit the crossbar.
Roma vs Leverkusen match scores 0-0 but Roma luckily wins on aggregate. Sevilla won the match 2-1.  Roma vs Sevilla will play the final.  Here Roma is a team with a lot of potential but it's a pity why they didn't play well in the semi-finals. even though Roma won in the semi-final, their performance was not that good.  So there is some doubt about their final match as well as how well they can play. But I still have faith in Roma

When I saw the match between Bayern Leverkusen vs AS Roma, I can say Leverkusen was unlucky in this match. Just imagine that during the match they pressed AS Roma, they took shot after shot and none of them could lodge in AS Roma's net. It really hurts for sure they lost like that. AS Roma could not get out of the pressure put on by Leverkusen and fortunately no goals were created.
Sevilla will be against AS Roma in the final, and Sevilla is the club that beat the big favorites in the Europa League this season.

Even though I didn't watch Leverkusen's match against Roma, I was very surprised by the result of the two teams drawing 0-0 until the game was over. After I saw the match statistics, how surprised I was to see Roma, who didn't even shoot on target once, while Leverkusen they did it 6 times, but it seems that thanks to the stunning performance of goalkeeper Rui Patricio, Roma didn't concede a single goal in this match. It seems like Mourinho really wants to defend rather than attack because he really understands what Xabi Alonso is thinking and Mourinho is betting on everything so they can qualify for the European league final.

Mourinho's strategy seems to make some Leverkusen players look frustrated and so many yellow cards received by Leverkusen players 6 times. Of course, there are many bettors who favor Leverkusen in last night's game and that's very natural considering Leverkusen is so powerful at home, but the results of the match are in stark contrast to what was predicted. But congratulations to Roma who qualified for the final and will face Sevilla to determine the European league champions this season.

Mourinho has never lost a European final whereas Sevilla have never lost in a Europa League final, The final this time is very interesting because it brings together the Masters in the European final with the King of the Europa League.

Sevilla appeared extraordinary when they won over Juventus, they managed to come back after falling behind first. Sevilla appearance in the Europa League was beyond predictions, even though it struggled in La Liga, successfully showing its quality in the Europa League.

Roma who almost lost their chance to enter the top four in Serie A, will try their luck in the Europa League. Mourinho will try to carve his record as a coach who has won trophies for Roma in two different European competitions. Even though Roma game was a little boring due to the tactics used by Mourinho, the final result cannot be changed as long as it does not violate the applicable rules.

Roma just let Leverkusen come all the way against themselves last night. Because they had only 1 goal attempt in the whole game while Leverkusen had so many. Still it is Leverkusen's fault that they can't even score one goal despite that many opportunities. Mourinho just told his players to play his classical defensive game and that was really enough to make it to the finale.

I don't know why Leverkusen were this much incapable of scoring a single goal in both legs of this matchup. They haven't been this bad so far actually but they couldn't do what they targeted here.
all of this is inseparable from the tight and disciplined defense of AS Roma, this is Mourinho's tactic which is very well known, the coach who is nicknamed Special One has very good defensive tactics and that is applied in this match so it's only natural in my opinion and also Leverkusen also not so good in his last few matches.
this is not a surprising result.
not because Leverkusen's defense was bad but Leverkusen's main mistake was being too insistent on scoring because of the aggregate defeat which made the Leverkusen players a little insecure so they tried to score but the result was that the Leverkusen players couldn't score at all and could only survive. I think that if Leverkusen are able to play calmly, they see a gap to be able to break into the Roma goal, of course it is very possible, but it goes back to the mistakes of the Leverkusen players themselves.

and for Sevilla I am very confident that Sevilla will be able to qualify for the final round beating Juventus who are not too strong in this European league. we can see in the second half Juventus gave Lamela and Acuna an opening to be able to score 2 goals in the second half.
