Roma just let Leverkusen come all the way against themselves last night. Because they had only 1 goal attempt in the whole game while Leverkusen had so many. Still it is Leverkusen's fault that they can't even score one goal despite that many opportunities. Mourinho just told his players to play his classical defensive game and that was really enough to make it to the finale.

I don't know why Leverkusen were this much incapable of scoring a single goal in both legs of this matchup. They haven't been this bad so far actually but they couldn't do what they targeted here.
Bayer Leverkusen tried everything to overcome Roma, they created chances and shots, but the goal just didn't come. I think they were unfortunate to have played against a Mourinho’s side at this stage of the competition. saw a steel in Mourinho's Roma. They defended a one goal advantage for 90 minutes. Bayer Leverkusen played everything in their books and got frustrated. That is classic Mourinho.
I feel Mourinho might experiment this strategy against Sevilla. He will allow Sevilla do the playing while his Roma will score a goal and defend it with their lives.

Sevilla gain more opportunities in the second half to equalized the goal and use the extra time to achieved the winning goal to defeated Juventus 2-1. It was a great celebration in the camp of Sevilla for the victory they got from the UEFA champions league semi-finals, because many people predicted for the favour of Juventus based on what happened in the first leg but Sevilla used all their strength and tactics to use home advantage to embraced victory at the end of the match. Juventus was in good position to win the match in the second half but they misused their opportunity that gave Sevilla access to the victory.
Sevilla taking down Juventus? Talk about a blockbuster headline! It was a scene right out of a chess master's playbook, Sevilla calmly waiting, then boom! Striking like a cobra when the opportunity arose. They owned the second half, and rule it? They did like kings!

And Juventus? What happened to our Italian giants? Were they exhausted post-World Cup? Or did they misplace their magic sauce? It was akin to seeing Superman without his cape, right?

Now all eyes are on Sevilla. With this win, they've punched their ticket to the finals. Will they keep riding this golden wave, or will they trip at the last step? Sevilla's a powerhouse, no doubt, but I'm secretly rooting for Mourinho to hoist that trophy with Roma!
[/quote]

I think it really depends on whether Roma is going to play soccer or wants again pays defense only. I know it is part of the game and as long as they are not going to break any rules, it is legit. But for me personally I don't like to watch games like that. Mourinho is known for these defensive styles and shenanigans, but it is not enjoyable. I hope that Sevilla scores a goal early on in the game so Roma has to attack whether they want it or not. It would be bad PR for the sport if Roma plays a 120 minutes 0-0 style and then wins a penalty shootout or something. There is too much of everything and Mourinho turns many of his teams into defense only teams.

It must be admitted that Sevilla's experience in the Europa League deserves a thumbs up and in the match against Juventus I saw that Sevilla did not want to lose, especially in front of their supporters. So that their hard work and efforts paid off very well and were able to beat Juventus with a score of 2-1 with an aggregate of 3-2, and in that match the Juventus players experienced great pressure and also lost in experience.
and I fear that Roma will suffer the same fate in the final against Sevilla who are dubbed the kings of the Europa League, and for sure Sevilla will also be determined to secure and go on with their seventh Europa League title.
Sevilla managed to quell Juventus ambitions of advancing to the Europa League final after earning a dramatic victory in Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, this victory saw them qualify for the Europa League final for the seventh time in their history. I caught at least one Juventus mistake during the game that knocked them out of the Europa League. Juventus seemed caught off guard. Having managed to open the lead first thanks to Dusan Vlahovic's goal in the 65th minute, usually Juventus are more focused on maintaining defense after managing to gain an advantage over their opponents.

Apart from that, Juventus seemed to be experiencing a little pressure with the atmosphere at the Ramon Sancez Pizjuan, the dense Sevilla supporters who packed the stadium made Sevilla able to dominate the match even though they were left behind first.
Furthermore, Sevilla, who is the King of the Europa League, will face Roma, who is coached by a coach who is known to often use a total defensive strategy. Mourinho who is very experienced in the final, is a tough challenge for Sevilla to get the only trophy left for them.

AS Roma went through as many people guessed they would play defensively. The match between Bayern Leverkusen vs AS Roma really didn't interest me at all.
This is a main tactic that is often used by Mourinho. I believe in this matches Mourinho instructed to keep the points rather than trying to add more goals. Since one goal aggregate was enough to get them through to the final. Playing defense is the solution. Of course this is risky, but luckily AS Roma is able to maintain this aggregate. AS Roma goalkeeper showing good performance, he can safe the ball many time.

all of this is inseparable from the tight and disciplined defense of AS Roma, this is Mourinho's tactic which is very well known, the coach who is nicknamed Special One has very good defensive tactics and that is applied in this match so it's only natural in my opinion and also Leverkusen also not so good in his last few matches.
this is not a surprising result.

As previously predicted, Mourinho will use his typical strategy of total defense to maintain his advantage in the first leg, Roma defended for most of the match which made it difficult for Leverkusen to dismantle its defense. Previously, Mourinho had implemented the same strategy when he achieved success with Porto, Chelsea and Inter.

Now Mourinho is doing it with Roma in the Europa League, Leverkusen is having a hard time dismantling Roma defense which is very solid, the 23 shots released by Leverkusen not a single goal has nested in Roma goal. Mourinho very distinctive bus parking tactic has brought Roma to the Europa League final. Mourinho doesn't care about beautiful games, he only focuses on the end result.
I said a few moments before the two semi-finals leg 2 kick off that the final for Serie A would not happen because one of them would fail to reach the final round and the team I meant to fail was Juventus.
When AS Roma managed to confirm themselves as the first finalists because the score was 0-0 even though it was a bit boring, Juventus still had to continue the match until extra time.

AS Roma went through as many people guessed they would play defensively. The match between Bayern Leverkusen vs AS Roma really didn't interest me at all.
Precisely the Sevilla vs Juventus match that showed tension until the end of extra time.
Juventus defeat is unlikely to save Allegri's fate.

It was extraordinary that the struggle of the Sevilla players was not at all depressed even though they had fallen behind Juventus. I also applaud the performance of the Sevilla coach, Jose Luis Mendelibar, he made quite a brilliant substitution, the inclusion of Suso and Lamela really had a tremendous impact. Overall, I think the Rojiblancos do have a winning mentality in the Europa League.

Rome, which came as an underdog, should not be underestimated, the presence of Jose Mourinho is a differentiator. He is a fairly experienced coach and he knows what he has to do to give the best for his team. However, Mourinho's mind is a bit squeezed because he only manages a team that is inhabited by mediocre players and doesn't even have many choices for him when he has to rotate.
this was an extraordinary match, I was impressed with Juventus' performance even though it was very painful for them to be eliminated but their performance and struggle should be appreciated, playing at Sevilla did not make Juventus' mentality decrease, in fact they could suppress the home team by being able to excel first.

and Sevilla, they are back in the final again this season even though the overall performance of this team is not so good this season.
a long journey and struggle for them to get to the final round.

Meanwhile, in another match, Leverkusen vs AS Roma ended in a draw, Jose Mourinho again applied defensive tactics and as we all know, the defensive tactics used by Mourinho were very effective.
This draw was enough to lead Roma to the final round.

It’s going to be a very difficult game. Because Jose Mourinho has never lost a European final. Sevilla have never lost in a Europa League final. We can’t taken away the fact that Sevilla can win it, they are specialist in Europa league just like Real Madrid has been dominant in Champions league for several years.. But Mourinho’s experience in European competition finals is something we shouldn’t write off. In games like this, Mourinho can make Sevilla will play a different football. They will play the way Mourinho wants and not how they want. He knows how to suffer his opponents to grind out results.

UEFA Europe League Final, Sevilla vs AS Roma

Both team have unique record until success lead to final stage, Sevilla always winning all their final and become the champion on Europe League but another side, Jose Mourinho always success give tittle with many teams before when lead to final. Have one interested with Europe League final because both teams want to be the winner because failure in domestic league finish in top fourth standing, they have become the winner if want qualify to Champion League next season.

Jose Mourinho has solid defensive and seems last games when Bayern Leverkusen difficult for scoring goals although dominance with ball possession and has many shoots on target, will Sevilla can scoring many goals against AS Roma on final stage next month?
Sevilla in the European league has always been the best so this team has won a lot of trophies will Sevilla win the trophy again now?
I am still very curious about that scenario, and indeed Roma has always been a surprise last season they won the conference league now it is still the European League final which of course Mourinho brings the team to better in this big competition while in the domestic league, it is still very difficult for them to catch To get to the Champions League ticket, one hope is to win the European league of course, there is a ticket for the UCL.

But it's good as long as Roma manages to defend quite well even though there are many attacks from Leverkusen that don't stop, even Rome doesn't have a shot at goal, only one shot can be done, and that's Mourinho able to provide a defensive strategy until the end of the game.

Different competitions with different actions, those words are words that are very suitable for Sevilla this season. Because their poor performance in La Liga has absolutely no negative effect when they play UEL matches. They even managed to mess Juventus up at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan with a narrow score of 2 - 1 and made it to the UEL final.

and I fear that Roma will suffer the same fate in the final against Sevilla who are dubbed the kings of the Europa League, and for sure Sevilla will also be determined to secure and go on with their seventh Europa League title.

Sevilla and AS Roma have met at the same event in 2020, and in that match Sevilla managed to win over AS Roma with a score of 2 - 0. Of course, past results cannot be a full reference, but at least from that match we know an overview of both teams. In my personal opinion, the UEL final will be a long final and will end in ET or penalty shootout.

Juventus were unlucky but Sevilla were very good at taking advantage of opportunities and reaching their goal in extra time.
However this will have cost effort, they must recover for the next match against Roma.

And in the end Sevilla showed that they are not easy to beat, no matter how favored their opponents are. After previously they managed to get rid of Manchester United, now they are doing it again by getting rid of Juventus. Now we have confirmed the two teams that will appear in the final, between Sevilla vs AS Roma.

I think the chance for AS Roma to be in the final is quite big and all of that is inseparable from the poor performance of Bayern Leverkusen lately and also AS Roma has won Agg 1 goal they only need a draw to advance to the final.
it is very possible.

and for Juventus it's a little hard for them, their performance is still not consistent and also in the second leg later they have to play in front of Sevilla supporters, the strength of the team maybe the two are almost the same but Sevilla's mentality is much better in my opinion and Sevilla is very favorite to be able to advanced to the finals.
Exactly the right view. The final will now be played by Sevilla and Rom. AS Roma didn´t play beautifully yesterday, the game was boring. They didn´t want to score a goal, they just wanted to run the clock. The player lie on the ground so often to waste time. It was not fair. Juventus score the first goal, but Sevilla was the better team. So the final is good both teams worked and played hard for it.

But I see Leverkusen managed to play pretty well in the first leg, it's just that the goal from Roma was able to defend well until the game ended, but if Leverkusen tonight is able to press better to attack Rome it will be more difficult for Roma even though they will defend completely but at least it will be overwhelmed if Roma just play defensively.

Leverkusen will certainly target attacks even better than before, but if Leverkusen manages to score the first goal in the second half then there will be little change from Roma not to completely defend they have to have a better attack when Leverkusen are tired in terms of the attacks they make, but we'll see how Mourinho manages the strategy well.
It's a home match for Leverkusen, so I think they'll try to give the best for their fans. Roma must have thought about how to deal with Leverkusen who today have good motivation and confidence for a comeback, but Mourinho must be considered as an elite coach who will probably have some useful strategies to secure a place in the final.

Roma can win the second leg, but only if they won counter-attacks. Roma's tactics tend to be defensive and they will be very closed to applying pressure early on, imo. I hope Roma can reach the final, and in another match I hope Sevilla will.

Leverkusen is playing at home this time against Roma and this can help them to have more chance agagnist this time but I guess Roma is going to play defensive and they should try protecting the only goal they scored in this match, however if Roma start defnecie playing style Leverkusen still should be careful about the counter-attacks.
Apparently Roma have really decided to play defense, but it looks like Bayer Leverkusen is just pushing Roma now, already three dangerous moments, once Diaby hit the post, and Bayer's ball possession reaches 75% and Bayer Leverkusen has already managed to hit 8 times the goal! And it's only 30 minutes into the game.
In general, if Roma is not able to push Bayer away from their goal soon, then most likely a goal will happen in the first half.
Also Roma were unlucky and already in the first half Spinazzola got injured and had to replace him. In general, it's a terrible start for Roma so far.
Mourinho knows what he's doing, he likes playing tactics no coach can predict. He loves defensive game, once he score one goal, this game is over for Roma. They will defend till the end. Mourinho understand this game very much.
The Sevilla and Juventus game is very hard , both team are playing well in the first half. But the home team is still very favorite for to win. Let's see what the second half will bring. I'm sure that that Roma, Basel, and Sevilla will qualify to the next Stage.
I have to agree with you about Mourinho. Of course he was lucky yesterday, because Bayer took 23 shots of which I think 7 were on target, but he couldn't score!
Mourinho was fantastic in using his defensive tactics yesterday when he parked the bus again and Roma were waiting for their chance. Of course it's still fantastic to go further with such statistics 1:23 in shots and only 0.03 xG, but Mourinho is an expert in European Cups here he knows well what it takes to take trophies.

Juvenuts was a bit pitiful yesterday, but in general Sevilla probably also deserved to pass on, at least with a win over Manchester United, and now also over Juventus.

It was not an easy task for Juventus to win against them in Sevilla's home match. We saw a great performance from Sevilla at home against Manchester United. And so the Sevilla team was considered the favorite against Juventus as well. Juventus tried hard to win this match. But Sevilla's match strategy was very organized. They were able to dominate from the start of the match. And so the Juventus team was quite behind from the beginning of the match. However, in this match, I bet Sevilla to win. I won the bet so I'm happy. Sevilla will be favorites for the final as well. However, the Roma team will try their best to become Europe League Champions.

clearly no, it was not an easy task for Juventus
since it failed
this season for the black and white team has been quite a failure
I have to say that for all the Italian teams they struggled a lot
perhaps the World Cup has tired many certain players

otherwise I don't understand all these injuries and physical deficiency

Even though in the Domestic League Sevilla FC was in a slump, in the UEL League they actually dominated and managed to qualify for the Finals. They will face AS Roma in Budapest. Hungary. This proves they deserve to be called the kings of UEL, we can see during the Juventus match, the Sevilla players know what to do when they are behind and they can make a comeback. Lamela is one of Argentina's good players but is rarely called up by the national team. Hopefully for next year's Copa America he will call up the national team.

Juventus' weak point this year is their less solid defense. Hopefully next year the management of Juventus will find a strong defender. Sevilla may win but the opponent in the final is AS Roma, an ordinary club but with a coach who is rich in European experience.

This will be a very interesting final. We are waiting for it. Sevilla have never lost in the UEL final, but MOU also has a record of not losing in all the finals they have participated in. so this really proves who will remain undefeated.
