The second leg is very important for Roma after they were defeated by their opponents in the first leg. It is hoped that De Rossi's preparations will put pressure on Leverkusen, but if you look at Leverkusen current position, which always consistently maintains its performance, Roma will have difficulty catching up to Leverkusen two goal deficit. Leverkusen last match when they beat Frankfurt made me very pessimistic about Roma chances. Leverkusen will play in front of their supporters, of course they will be even more motivated to win to advance to the final easily. De Rossi's task is very tough towards the end of the competition, he must try to make Roma perform optimally in the remaining 90 minutes to make a comeback, while in Serie A he is facing a very tense situation because the competition to get to the UCL is still very competitive.
If Roma could not beat Bayer at home, then it will be even more difficult to do so at the Bay Arena. Roma lost points in the last match with Juventus, Atalanta took advantage of this, and moved up to fifth place (at the same time they have a game in hand), so things are not going well for De Rossia. And Bayer will be keen not to lose the second leg against Roma, because then they will set a new record, without losing a match.

I thought at first Roma would make it difficult for Leverkusen but it doesn't seem like that happened, even though Roma had several opportunities they didn't manage to score a goal against Leverkusen, considering Leverkusen's current performance there is no doubt, they have a very good playing performance in almost all their matches they can end the match with a not bad result. I'm not really sure that Roma can beat Leverkusen in the second leg. with the victory that Leverkusen has achieved in their first leg match, maybe that will make Leverkusen confident, especially with their performance which cannot be hidden any longer, their greatness can make them more confident in being able to win again in the second leg match later.

I am not underestimating Roma, but indeed Leverkusen is a tough opponent for them, although De Rossi will try to make Roma perform optimally in the second leg, but of course Leverkusen themselves are already careful about Roma's performance which might be different because of the defeat that has occurred in the match. their first leg. Even with the second leg match ending in a draw, that will allow Leverkusen to qualify for the final, in fact I think Leverkusen can be superior in the match later.

I personally think Roma have no chance of qualifying for the Europa League final. The first leg was Roma's home match. I thought we would see Roma dominate at home. But Roma was defeated 2-0 in the home match. Despite Roma's home match, the match was dominated by Leverkusen's players. The second leg is Leverkusen's home match. In Leverkusen's home match, Roma will win by more than 3 goals I don't find it believable.

Leverkusen are in a very strong position this season. The team has not lost any match yet. Xabi Alonso wants to secure the title of the Bundesliga as well as the Europa League. The Europa League title is also likely to go to Leverkusen.

In the first leg, AS Roma dominated the game overall with 53% ball possession based on match data and statistics, but more precisely, Roma started to dominate more in the second half. in terms of play, Roma was able to provide resistance, having three big chances and one hitting the goalpost. At least Roma put up some resistance, despite the lack of readiness of the Roma defenders and the goalkeeper who was not skilled enough to block the ball shot by Robert Andrich in the 73rd minute.

In the second leg, based on betting exchanges, Leverkusen is far superior in the second meeting, there appears to be a significant gap based on the available odds. which means, Leverkusen's probability is much higher than AS Roma. However, as I often say in many posts. in football it is unique, even though Roma's chances are very small compared to Leverkusen. but situations can change, and anything can happen. meaning, theoretically, on paper Leverkusen looks like they will slaughter Roma at the BayArena. In fact, I also have an assumption or guess for the time being, that Xabi Alonso's squad will overthrow Roma with a landslide score. But to ensure all that, of course we have to wait for the second leg of the semifinal match to be held. Let's see how the results of the battle in the second leg at BayArena will be.

I believe the semifinal match will be between Atalanta vs Leverkusen. Atalanta will play as hosts so they will have the advantage. They also have an extraordinary mentality and with the support of the supporters I am sure Atalanta will beat Marseille. On the other hand, Leverkusen has confirmed one step to the final. A 2-0 win is important for them because winning 2 goals can make them play more calmly. But the problem is that Leverkusen has another pressure, namely how to maintain their unbeaten record and become the first team in history to end a season unbeaten in any competition in a single season.
I don't think Leverkusen has much pressure for this because if the second leg results in a draw, Leverkusen will also qualify for the final. Likewise with Atalanta which also has the potential to qualify for the final because in the Europa League this season Atalanta has also been able to bring Liverpool back to their place of origin, making Liverpool unable to stay in the Europa League for longer this season. And for the second leg with Marseille, of course Atalanta will try better to enter the final.

I will be very surprised if DeRossi takes the main squad to Leverkusen, knowing that in two days there will be a decisive game with Atalanta that will determine the outcome of the entire season. There is no chance in the game with Bayer and this tournament must be sacrificed.
De Rossi already prepared for this match by replacing some main players in the match with Juventus. With these decisions, I see De Rossi is seriously with this semi final and will try to have a final match with Roma. The match with Atalanta in Serie A is important too but if Roma won't lose too big in this match too early, he will use his main players till the match ending.

There are always surprises in the Europa League and we don't know what the surprises will be We were shocked by Liverpool's defeat against Atalanta, whether Atalanta could break Leverkusen's streak of good results.?

Even though Leverkusen is under pressure because they have to maintain their good performance until the end, Leverkusen has very high self-confidence, they continue to win, meaning they have good motivation to win every match, Leverkusen proves that they don't want to lose. Xabi Alonso doesn't run out of strategies for Leverkusen players must continue to perform optimally, even facing Atalanta is not a big obstacle for Leverkusen, while Atalanta will face great pressure.

Judging by how hard Bayer plays even without tournament motivation (victory over Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1) and how things are going in Serie A, is it possible to assume that in the return game between Bayer and Roma we will see something like 3-0?
Will Leverkusen try to beat Roma big when they only need a draw to complete semi finals and can play in the final match?

Being too ambitious with records can cost Leverkusen titles if in very last matches, their main players get injuries and affect their performances in final matches. Titles are more important than record in my opinion.

I will be very surprised if DeRossi takes the main squad to Leverkusen, knowing that in two days there will be a decisive game with Atalanta that will determine the outcome of the entire season. There is no chance in the game with Bayer and this tournament must be sacrificed.

Everything looks so easy for bayern leverkusen. They keep defending their unbeatable records, winning trophies and money. Xabi has turned whole players of leverkusen to be super humans.
It looks to be easy for Leverkusen but they must be careful. If they feel too easy in this match, let Roma scores first, they will put themselves under very big pressure and maybe uncontrollable match. They only need to be careful and avoid Roma attacks and goal, they will have a final match, no much pressure.

Leverkusen played very well this season but they should not get too comfortable. If they underestimate their opponents they might lose titles they are working towards. Game against Roma is not over yet even though they're ahead by two goals. Roma will fight hard to make it to the finals and Leverkusen needs to be ready for tough second game.
Exactly true as Roma are strong and ambitious to take advantage of Leverkusen's carelessness. The advantage is on Leverkusen but they should not destroy it by their carelessness. If Leverkusen plays like they are often showing in this season, Roma will have nearly no chance to make a come back.

Quote
Atlanta is a strong team and Liverpool learned the hard way not to underestimate them. As a Leverkusen fan I want them to stay focused and careful because one mistake could be very costly.
This is a big lesson for a stronger team against a weaker team and Liverpool can be considered as much stronger than Atalanta with bigger difference than how Leverkusen are stronger than Roma. Chance for Roma to make surprise is bigger than Atalanta and their chance will depend on their performance in the first half. If Roma score first and make Leverkusen panic, they can make a come back.

Probably even worst than it? We do know that roma was losing in home game against leverkusen with good scores. Im not even expecting roma to play better than what they did at stadion of olimpico. 2-0 can be the very least scores for the roma vs leverkusen. It's away game for the club.

AS Roma still inconsistent performance from the last three matches in all competitions, two matches in Serie A without winning and the defeat to Bayern Leverkusen in the first leg became bad capital when playing in the second leg.
I doubt conceded two goals on the first leg will make easy for Roma come back and winning over three goals on second leg match with Bayern Leverkusen have reach the most highest unbeaten record 49 matches all competition without loss.

Bayern Leverkusen will complete the unbeaten record reach 50 matches all competition on second leg match against Roma, I don't think easily to get any team will defeat Bayern Leverkusen in this season after winning Bundesliga trophy and keep perform well on several matches left in domestic league.

In as much as it seems as though Leverkusen has some sort of magic that gives them repeated victory over their opponents. They're very good this season no doubt, they've proven themselves  countless times, but underestimating a team is what will cost then their deserved tittles if they try it. Firstly, their game with Roma isn't over until after the final whistle of the match regardless of their two goals advantage. Roma will be there to fight to death for a chance to feature in the finals. They were better in the last match, they should play harder in the return leg as that match would be tougher than the first leg.

Atlanta isn't a team to joke with. Liverpool can relate to the effect of underestimating them. It cost them their Europa league journey. I'm rooting for Leverkusen, but they should be more  cautious now cos any errors would be very costly.

If Atalanta can beat Liverpool, one of most two favorite candidates for Europa League title, they can beat any team in Europa League. Marseille are not as strong as Liverpool and they can lose to Atalanta but it's not math like if Atalanta can win big against Liverpool, they can win big against Marseille. Football is not mathematically combination like this.

Leverkusen has the pass to the final in his pocket or bag, because the first game was a solid win in Rome, and for what i see in the develop of the game Rome cant find a path to make damage in the Leverkusen defense.

So i cant see Rome making any goals in german soil, but lets see this is football and everything can happen.
Even though in football anything can still happen, if you look at how Bayer Leverkusen continues to win every match they face this season, it proves that Leverkusen has not given up on continuing to hunt for victory and refuses to be defeated by any team. So AS Roma's position in the second leg which will take place at Leverkusen's home ground will be a little difficult because Leverkusen will not allow themselves to lose at home. Moreover, the second leg will determine their progress to the final round of the Europa League this season.
That's true, the second leg match will be a life and death match for Leverkusen and Roma, but I think Xabi fleet will win again easily, and Roma will find it difficult to overcome the 2 goal deficit. Leverkusen are even the favorites to become champions this season, where they have so far not been touched by a single defeat. Atalanta or Marseille don't seem to have the strength to stop Leverkusen move in the final.

It's true, there are lots of surprises that could happen in the future, but with what Leverkusen has shown, I'm sure they will be able to meet the expectations placed on them. However, it won't be easy, Xabi must remain humble and not let his guard down. Liverpool elimination by Atalanta is certainly a reference, where Xabi must remain alert to their future opponents.

For now, Xabi can shift all his focus to the Europa League, where the competition in the Bundesliga is over, while the DFB Pokal Final will be their last match of the season. Therefore, Xabi will not be too bothered about determining the starting XI, he will field his best squad in the Europa League, the other two trophies are getting closer to Leverkusen.

Whenever any team is going into the second leg without any advantage, I mean the score of the first leg was a draw, I started to think that every team has an equal chance. Especially in the semifinal of any competition. I think that is the case also in this second leg as well in the Europa League. Both of them are going to have equal chances in my opinion.

Of course, one team might be better compared to the other. But I think at the end of the day it all comes down to which player is able to perform well enough on that given day. But it is true that we have seen a lot of players perform pretty badly on big stages. And I don’t think Karius is the only example of that. Let’s just hope that players are not going to make those kinds of mistakes and it is going to be a competitive match.
Despite the rule of the away goals productivity is not there anymore, playing at home in second leg is still an advantage, because the home team knows the exact target and can have full preparation. Mathematically, the chance is equal for either team, but hypothetically, I think Atalanta have a slight better chance to win the game and reach the final. They have a stable performances in their journey to reach this semi-final, and they were able to beat tougher teams in knock out stage.

Atalanta also have a better experience in european competition in the last few seasons, because they played Champions League seasons ago. Marseille is a big team from Ligue 1, but they rarely progressed the group phase when they play in european competition. With their tactical display and style of football, I think Atalanta is favorite to win the game and reach the final.

Atalanta is superior in terms of mentality compared to Marseille because they were able to beat a big team like Liverpool even though they played at Anfield. This match will be difficult for Marseille because Atalanta has always managed to score goals in the last four matches. One thing I doubt is that if Atalanta progresses to the final and in another match Leverkusen manages to get rid of Roma, Atalanta will experience difficulties when facing Leverkusen because Leverkusen's mentality and consistency in maintaining their performance is better than theirs.
I believe the semifinal match will be between Atalanta vs Leverkusen. Atalanta will play as hosts so they will have the advantage. Atalanta and Marseille have similarity between their journeys of this season. Both are striving in Europe while having inconsistent performance in their respective league. Atalanta might have a slight better position in the league competing with more competitive teams. Marseille being able to reach Europa League semi-final is actually a surprise for some people, because a Ligue 1 team that didn't have a good performance in the league is rarely able to reach high stage in european competition.

It's common knowledge that Marseille is the least favorite to win Europa League trophy, but the nature of Europa League is often unpredictable where favorite teams struggle to win this trophy. Atalanta may be favorite to reach the final, but tactically it can be deceitful, because Atalanta love to play open and have offensive style, Marseille have physical tactics to disrupt their opponents.
I am not sure how it will go, I still think that Atalanta will do better because their path here has been harder and it feels like we are talking about something incredible with their Liverpool win, nobody expected that and they somehow managed to do it, which is amazing achievement if you ask me and I believe that they must be super happy with what they have.

I get that it is not a huge deal for Atalanta if they end up losing here, because it only matters if they keep on winning. To be fair, in the end whoever comes out as the winner, we are going to see Leverkusen just end up being the winner in the end, they are just way too good and Roma can't hold them, and neither of these two teams will be able to win against them at the finals neither, it is just very unlikely.

Atalanta will be playing at home and that is a good advantage on their side over their visitors. In the first leg, Atalanta was able to score first away from home before their host Marseille equalized the goal. This shows that Atalanta can score this time again and will be able to defend their goals till the end of 90 minutes.

Atalanta is currently in a good form as they have reached far in two competitions showing their quality and seriousness of winning a trophy this season. Marseille can also survive through to the finals if they can come up with surprises on that day, because this season is a surprising season so far.
Atalanta's chances are much more open than Marseille's, so it's very likely that they will be in the final in my opinion. In the first leg, a draw gave them an advantage, because they were able to hold Marseille to a draw when playing at home, now it is their turn to play at home. I think a draw in the first leg was their target and they succeeded in getting it.

But of course Atalanta must play well, lest they lose focus which will make them lose later. Focus or concentration is something that must be strictly maintained when in the field, because if they don't have good concentration, then they are at risk of making fatal mistakes. We have seen many players crumble because they made fatal mistakes in the decisive round. What still sticks in my memory is the career of Liverpool goalkeeper Karius. Yes, he made a fatal mistake when playing in the Champions League against Real Madrid.

Atalanta @ 1.76
Marseille @ 4.70

Atalanta look quite favourite from now on. Actually the first leg ended up with a draw but they are still seen very close to the finale by bookmakers as well. Their eliminating Liverpool must have been really effective about these odds too though. That was such a huge victory achieved by Atalanta and we couldn't believe our eyes.  Grin

Marseille have a new manager. They started really good first but not much time later their form started to drop again. At least in the Ligue 1. But here in the Europa League I can say they are better. Their comeback against Benfica in the previous round was impressive. But will they reach the finale? I don't think so.
Atalanta was in the good shape because since beated by Liverpool on quarterfinal matches Atalanta was through an 4 matches in all competitions and they still unbeated from those matches and besides that during this season since group stages in this competition Atalanta was very strong because only Liverpool who able to beat them so i didn't surprised why the bookmakers placed them as the favourite because Atalanta have good chances to beat Marseille

Marseille under new manager is still unstable because although recently they can able to return to the winning ways at Ligue 1 but there is no guarantee they can playing consistent and since knock out stages while playing for away matches Marseille has poor records because they were still unable to win at their opponents home ground so this makes me confident Atalanta can being an the winner of this match later and about the scores probably Atalanta will win with narrow scores 1-0 or 2-1 however about the betting option i think the odds for Atalanta win is quite decent to bets
