Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen were the two favorites in the Europa League this season. Basically, considering the performance of these two teams in the current season, they were considered as the two most favorite teams in the European League. We think that these two teams will qualify for the finals of the Europa League tournament this season and the competition will be very tough between these two teams. Bayer Leverkusen are still in the race to reach the final of the Europa League tournament but Liverpool have already been eliminated from the tournament after losing the final battle of the Europa League tournament. You think it will be difficult for Bayer Leverkusen to win the Europa League title this season but I don't think it will be difficult for them to win the Europa League title this season. The fact that they will play in Champions League is a big consideration to strengthen to squad. They will be lucky if no player to have a move to other club, but they will still need to sign some new good players for next season campaign. Playing in champions League is not as easy as playing in Europa League, they will have to play against many strong teams. Any loss can affect their morale that could have impact on their performances in the league.

Yes, it is always a big challenge to maintain good performance. Leverkusen performed too perfectly this season, they may end up this season with no defeat at all. As far as I know, there is no modern coach who can do this. Xabi Alonso simply did an extra ordinary job for Leverkusen, no one predicts this to happen with Leverkusen.

Even if the current squad looks strong enough for the next season, I think Xabi must improve the quality of the squad. I think Leverkusen has no top striker, most of them are just average strikers. Only Victor Boniface who deserves to be the striker in Leverkusen. Sadly, this player got a long injury this season, Xabi must have an alternative striker who has the same quality. Patrik Schick and Borja Iglesias have too far quality, they don't deserve to keep on the squad. If Leverkusen wants to go far in UCL for the next season, Leverkusen is better to sign a top striker in the next transfer window.

Leverkusen having the chances of been crowned the winners of the Europa league this season is something that almost everyone is already getting to come in terms with already because their performance daily keeps giving them the edge and proving how capable and effective a team they are and can be able to probably get to win the trophy without much challenge at this point where they have just average teams contending them.

Regardless of what happens next season the most important thing for now is that they have to do their best because the treble chance is there so next season is on their minds after they get a good target for this season.

Initially I thought Leverkusen would lose to AS Roma. Their performance in the last 2 matches is not that good. They managed to "survive" the defeat because they scored a goal in the last minute of the match. I think it requires a winning mentality and of course luck to get it. AS Roma are at the same level as Dortmund and Stuttgart so I think Leverkusen will have a tough game.

But it turns out they performed quite well in that match. They managed to win 2-0 and that was a very good first step because they will play at home in the second leg later.

On the other hand, Marseille drew against Atalanta. Both teams played evenly so it was difficult to determine who had the advantage in the second leg.

To be honest, Bayern Leverkusen’s performance this season is not based on luck, they really fought hard to be this victorious, hence their accolades should be given to them. A team cannot win the league title on luck like this, luck cannot shine for you throughout the season, they really worth what they’ve achieved so far in the league. As for their champions league competition next season, they just have to put in a better performance than this year’s own because the competition their is very competitive and more demanding than Bundesliga. They have gotten a good squad they just need some addition to make the team stronger for next season and I trust Xabi Alonso to give a good result also by next season.

It seems that you are not aware of Serie A getting 5 tickets for the Champions League next season, so even though AS Roma finished in fifth place but in fact AS Roma has secured a ticket for the Champions League for next season and not the Europa League. Therefore, basically AS Roma can focus more on beating Bayer Leverkusen at this moment because AS Roma has been in a safe and good position in the Serie A standings. I don’t think Roma stands any chance at all of qualifying past Leverkusen especially after the wonderful display of the German side in the first leg, you’ll understand how pretty impossible it is for them to turn things around. Yes football could be unpredictable but in this case, lol it is really predictable as Leverkusen are really on fire this season.

 ⁠Leverkusen lead with a 2 goal margin and for Roma to turn things around at Leverkusen ground, then they’ll need to be more resilient than normal. They will have to up their game and this is something I feel will be pretty impossible for them to do especially against A team with great coach like Alonso. ⁠Yes football is unpredictable but I know Roma can also hope that they will be able to turn things Around but the possibility is pretty little.

 At this point, I think De Rossi should just use this match in learning some things as this will help him in next season. This Roma side should focus more on being able to appear in Europe next season rather than them being able to beat down Leverkusen. Yes this is pretty impossible as I already see Leverkusen in the finals of the UEL or should I say I see them as winners already.
