Bayern Leverkusen did something extraordinary in the Bundesliga, they ended Bayern Munich's dominance that had lasted almost a decade, so I have only applause for them. But in Europe the matter changes and it is not always the best team that can win, but only those who believe in winning the most. Whoever is to lift the cup will mean that they have deserved it.

Today's game against West Ham was a draw with Jeremie Frimpong scoring a goal for Bayer Leverkusen and Antonio scoring for West Ham however, Bayer had already cut their prize off the cake with the 3 over 1 aggregate at the end of this second leg pushing Leverkusen higher up the league. One must learn to truly appreciate the efforts of Xabi Alonso over his sportsmanship and coordination of the team players. The guys at Leverkusen have got 4 clean sheets With average of 0.4 per match, zero Red cards , 14 yellow cards but 27 goals with the average of 2.7 goals measured per match

I think someone in Leverkusen will make a statue to Xabi Alonso, he took a team that had little motivation and turned it into an unbeatable battleship. I don't know how he did it but by many accounts he did something extraordinary without having overpaid top players in the team, almost reminiscent though vaguely of Leicester's extraordinary victory a few years ago
I saw that, how Xabi Alonso built up the strength to improve the performance of Bayern Leverkusen, which honestly had no qualifications in the league and was very difficult to find its identity until a savior came to it and built up the strength to the point now.
The draw against West Ham in leg 2 was quite complicated and even so in leg 1 it was a very good victory that made Bayern Leverkusen qualify for the final, and now will face As Roma which I think is very strong too, so if Bayern Leverkusen get a full victory to reach the final and get a victory maybe a historical monument will be built in Leverkusen for Xabi Alonso.

I also have no doubts and am quite confident that this season's Europa League trophy can be won by Bayer Leverkusen if you look at how solid the players Leverkusen currently has. And because in their own domestic league Leverkusen has already won a trophy this season, of course Xabi Alonso will put greater focus on the Europa League this season so that it is quite possible that Leverkusen can qualify for the Europa League final and win it.

Perhaps, at first Xabi Alonso only thought about improving the performance and quality of Bayer Leverkusen, but in reality Xabi Alonso succeeded in making Bayer Leverkusen win the Bundesliga title, and also succeeded in making Bayer Leverkusen undefeated. With this achievement, in reality Bayer Leverkusen still has a big chance of winning two other trophies this season in the DFB Pokal and in the Europa League. So yes, with an extraordinary opportunity like this, of course Xabi Alonso will continue to maximize it until he achieves greater success this season. In essence, because Bayer Leverkusen is still consistent without defeat until now, then of course Bayer Leverkusen really has a very high chance of getting the treble winner, and they really deserve it.
That was very appropriate, Xabi was appointed to lift the team performance from its downturn and of course management did not demand many things at the start of Xabi recruitment. Along the way, Xabi was able to manage the team very well, where he was able to bring Leverkusen from 17th place to finish in 6th place in the standings last season. It all started from there, and was added to by their movements in the transfer window last summer which were quite successful, one of which was the signing of Xhaka.

Xabi has succeeded in instilling a winning mentality in his players, this is the key to his entire strategy, which is why until now Leverkusen has not been touched by a single defeat. Their last match against Dortmund in the Bundesliga was proof of how good their mentality is, where they managed to equalize in the final minutes of the match, which was quite dramatic.

Thus, it is only natural that Leverkusen is predicted to be able to achieve a treble winner this season, where they no longer have tough opponents like Liverpool, now they are more favorite than Roma, Atalanta and Marseille in terms of winning the Europa League trophy this season. However, we are still aware that anything can happen in the future, but I am sure many people place Leverkusen as a strong candidate to win the trophy.

Xabi Alonso doing exceptionally brilliant and the team management have entrust him to deliver crucial jobs for the team's growth. Remember Leverkusen is unbeaten and they're dwelling in for unstoppable spectacular record. Bayer Leverkusen is unstoppable this season and craving for treble is their priority currently. Xabi Alonso have always implement solid strategies and enforcing good smooth runs for his team.

Yes indeed Xabi Alonso actually initially would not expect that Leverkusen could be as strong as this in maintaining his consistent even the performance of Leverkusen at this time was very beyond our predictions that initially always believed if the dominance would still be very strong belonging to Bayern Munich but it turned out that Xabi Alonso really gave a big change to the future of Leverkusen.
Of the many praise I really have to admit to getting a title in the UEL can be obtained by Leverkusen because there are no more equal opponents after Liverpool eliminated from the UEL.
There is one question that I still think about and I am really very marinated, is Xabi in the coming season still has the same way to maintain Leverkusen's performance to maintain its consistent?

After scoring an equaliser in the 97th minute of the game against Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen confirmed to be impossible to defeat this season.
The oddsmakers seem to agree by placing them as decisive favourite to win the Europa League with odds at x1.75.
The second place goes to Atalanta with odds at x4.0.

Leverkusen is having an absolutely phenomenal season with zero losses and a chance to break Bundesliga's points record.

It's still possible for them to technically not lose a game but still drop out of the EL if they lose by penalty shootout.

You're right, Leverkusen has dominated the Bundesliga. Xabi Alonso is a tactical genius coach. I adore their momentum and hunger. You can feel a team changing after winning. Smart move to trust the manager - its paying off. Here's something. Europa League knockout rounds, the final test. Best of best. I like Leverkusen's strength and optimism. In huge games, anything can happen. One mistake, one brilliant moment, and everything changes. Im cheering for them, but maintain an open mind. Treble would be great for the club.
Leverkusen's dominance in the bundesliga and even the Europa is such that i can say is actually has been giving them an edge and they have been able to continually Maintain a good pase that has definitely taken them far both in the bundesliga and the Europa such that they can now show every certainty in the bundesliga and are currently going to do same Soon in the Europa aswell probably after they defeat their recent opponent.

Leverkusen was having Liverpool as a potential contender for the finals but now it's beginning to seem like things are about getting much easier for them because their biggest potential rival and contender is now out of the league a d so they have almost just average teams to contend which to me are appearing like such that Leverkusen can easily hand with little to no stress on them and the pressure now even looks less with a minimal and gradual pase they can still be able to achieve the trophy still regardless and Leverkusen is still in a very good a d perfect form.

Away from AC Milan a d Roma i don't think there's actually any big contender remaining in the Europa for Leverkusen and the teams Leverkusen is already facing in the bundesliga appears tough compared to some of these teams that are still in the Europa at the moment and then winning the Europa will  actually be a record for Leverkusen because i think it's going to be their first or one amongst a few for them.

I understand your Leverkusen perspective. It shows that Xabi Alonso is rebuilding the team. Their Bundesliga success was a message, not just skill. That kind of win gives a squad confidence for a Europa League run. This is solid planning and talent on the pitch, not luck. You must respect Alonso's contributions. In addition to coaching, he promotes team culture. Players click as a unit. It's hard to do, but if he stays (and I think he recognises the potential) they can do much better. Possible Champions League contenders. Yes, I agree. I see no obstacle in Leverkusen's Europa League. Hunger and attention are on their way to making history, possibly a treble
Bayer Leverkusen are crowned Bundesliga champion following their unbeaten run, it have been amazing moments for the supporters and the management, they trusts Xabi Alonso with everything they hold darkly and will assigned more tasks for the legendary coach that knows specifically what he wants. Xabi Alonso totally understands the level of football he initiated for Leverkusen and he's trying his possible best to remain consistent with this phase. Bayer Leverkusen have been one of the unbeaten clubs this season and they've continue their unbeaten run and will hoped for good results.

I don't think Atalanta can be very successful in the next matches Smiley

I'm not sure about that to tell the truth, I'm saying it at least for the semi final stage. Because the opponent is Marseille, not Leverkusen yet.  Tongue

I see Atalanta's chance quite high against them. A team that can eliminate Liverpool should be able to put up a good fight against Marseille undoubtedly. I have seen the odds for reaching the final like these:

- Leverkusen: 1.25
- Atalanta: 1.50
- Marseille: 2.50
- Roma: 3.75

Atalanta are even the second biggest favourite for winning the Europa League title according to bookies. I think that we will watch a Leverkusen - Atalanta finale and Leverkusen will be victorious.  Smiley

About Liverpool, everyone also thought that they would easily deal with Atalanta and for the game at Anfield the quotes were super crooked (something like 1.25 for Liverpool to win). It seems to me that 1.25 against Roma is also not a very favorable odds, although of course I consider Bayer a big favorite in this pair.
By the way, Atalanta's odds (4.20) for the title, according to bookmakers, are closer to Roma's odds (6.00) than to Bayer's odds (1.77).

Whatever the outcome may be in a match, an unexpected surprise during the match can break predictions before the match starts. Who would have thought that Liverpool would be eliminated in such a sad way after suffering a crushing defeat at their home base, even though Liverpool was initially considered to be one of the top teams in this competition.

I admit that Leverkusen are playing very solidly this season and have the potential to win the Treble, but they must not underestimate Roma if they don't want their fate to be like Liverpool. Roma strength has increased greatly since being handled by De Rossi, they also have the same goals as Leverkusen in this competition. The first leg played at the Olimpico can provide additional encouragement for Roma players, support from supporters can be the 12th Roma player in finishing the game with a win.
Favorite teams such as Liverpool and Milan have been eliminated earlier than we expected so far, Leverkusen and Liverpool are strong candidates to meet in the Europa League final but unfortunately Liverpool had to suffer a painful defeat to Atlanta, so that makes our predictions at the beginning of the league had broken, Roma and Leverkusen will certainly occupy our attention because indeed both are strong teams,  Before I never thought if Roma could reach the semi-finals because so far Roma has always struggled to win against Milan in the league, for now Roma's performance and mentality have improved drastically after De Rossi took over coaching from Mourinho, indeed statistically of course Leverkusen will be very favorite to win but we also cannot underestimate Roma who play at home in the first leg, the first leg will probably end in a draw but I'm pretty sure the second leg will be won by Leverkusen.

At the moment Atlanta and Leverkusen look like it will be the ideal final of the Europa League this season, and the chance to win the trebel for Leverkusen this season is wide open if they can beat Roma to advance to the final, but I think the final (if indeed Leverkusen and Atlanta make it) will most likely be very exciting and maybe even end with a penalty kick to decide the champion.

If Leverkusen is able to win a lot at home to AS Roma in the first leg of the Europa League semi-final this season, of course this will also make it easier for Leverkusen to win again at home in the second leg. And I also believe that Xabi Alonso is able to provide quite good tactics for this, although I don't think that Leverkusen will win with too many goals at home to Roma. Because the current Roma coach has also realized that Leverkusen is quite a strong opponent in the Europa League this season so they will also implement better tactics in the first leg.

There is no real reason why Xabi Alonso should change team,he is enjoying the biggest success of his life as a coach with Leverkussen,he made them win their first Bundesliga title and that is quite an achievement. The Europa League is looking easier for them now that Liverpool is out,I don't see them having any difficulty facing in the final Atalanta or Roma as the strongest remaining teams in the Europa League now.The guys of Leverkussen are surely motivated as they are eager to win even more, like they say appetite comes when eating well and surely Leverkussen is even more hungry for other successes, they are the strongest contender to win the Europa League as they are nearly 50 games that don't taste of defeat,I guess they have already forgotten what defeat is  Grin.
Don’t rush to conclusions, Roma proved in the match with Milan that they reached the semi-finals for a reason. I personally cannot say that Bayer is so superior to Roma to be sure that they will definitely play in the final. Roma has a combination of good play in defense and attack, Bayer also has these properties, but it seems to me that Roma’s defense is stronger now. The teams will play their first match in Rome, and this match must be won, and the more goals Roma scores, the better.

I won't review AS Roma too much, at least De Rossi has proven to have brought his team this far. Initially, AS Roma was highly doubted after Mourinho was no longer in charge of it, especially since Roma was handled by De Rossi. However, he proved that he was bringing his team slowly forward with a positive trend. In 17 matches with AS Roma in various competitions, De Rossi and his team only experienced 2 defeats and 2 draws. A very positive result for a coach who doesn't have much experience, but De Rossi showed and was able to bring Roma through their downturn. Speaking of Leverkusen, this team is truly a strong candidate to win the trophy in this competition. Moreover, Leverkusen only focused on the Europa League semifinal competition, also before Xabi Alonso's squad focused on the DFB Pokal final match. From the start I was interested in Leverkusen, and it was proven that Xabi had brought his team back to the semifinals.

Well, what's unique is that these two teams met again in the semifinals like the previous season. The difference is, last season AS Roma was still managed by Jose Mourinho. This season, AS Roma is under the guidance of De Rossi. Plus, AS Roma also carries out an offensive pattern under the guidance of De Rossi. So, this match should provide an interesting spectacle. Even though Leverkusen is more favored, that doesn't mean Roma can be beaten easily. yeah, like what you said. Roma also had a game with a good combination, they had a chance even though Leverkusen was the favorite. I hope this battle provides an interesting spectacle, unlike last season.

This is one of the most possible scenarios. Marseille will be eliminated in this round. Atalanta is a team in very good form right now, and their motivation is very high since they eliminated the strongest opponent. With the impact of this, I also think we will see them in the final. But I don't know who will win in the final match, there may be a surprise here. The situation is a little different in the final matches; every team that reaches the final has a chance to become champion Smiley

After successfully securing the Bundesliga title, of course Bayer Leverkusen's focus on the Europa League is much greater and it is a big advantage for Bayer Leverkusen to be able to prepare well for each match so that their performance can be much better.
In terms of Bayer Leverkusen's percentage of winning the Europa League title this season, it is indeed much bigger, especially after Liverpool were surprisingly eliminated in the quarter-finals, but Bayer Leverkusen's steps are not easy because Roma is currently experiencing quite a drastic improvement in quality and I think Roma will be a formidable obstacle. for Bayer Leverkusen to win the Europa League title this season.

It seems like Xabi Alonso would like to be an idealistic manager rather than just leaving to sign for a much bigger team with a huge money power.  Smiley  He is keen on signing for Liverpool in the future though considering an interview he gave a short time ago. However at least for one more season we will continue to see him managing Leverkusen.

I'm quite okay with it as well honestly. Because there is a really amazing chemistry between him and the players. He wants to go for bigger achievements with this team obviously. Who knows maybe even in the Champions League we might see Leverkusen being really successful next season.

Leverkusen are seriously looking forward to winning the trebble this season, and their recent victory of the Bundesliga tittle will really have something to do with their moral  in the final third of the Europa league competition. They are really eying that trophy, and I don't see any team that can win them and claim that trophy from them. This momentum and spirit that Xabi have built in these players is really good ,and will push them towards achieving many tittles in years to come.
If Xavi does not switch club,I see him winning many tittle and even the champions league with these boys in few years from now.

If Atalanta can beat Marseille and have a final match, even the opponent in the final is Leverkusen, they will have chance to lift Europa League trophy. In a single match like a final, a weaker team can win if they have proper approach, players execute tactics well and have enough support from luckiness.

Atalanta are not weak and they can beat any team in semi final rounds from Marseille, Roma to Leverkusen. The odds makes sense in my opinion because Atalanta looks better than Marseille.

Winning against liverpool has changed atalanta's odds a lot. It's really surprising me to see that caused by i was rarely seeing this happens. I would rather than favoring roma rather than atalanta in this competition. It's really weird caused by i never expect that if atalanta's odds will be that low.
The higher odds for Atalanta against Roma is because they don't have to meet Leverkusen in semi finals. Roma will be a direct opponent of Leverkusen in semi finals and the given odds shows that Leverkusen is a strongest candidate and most favorite team for Europa League title.

So in another semi final pair, Atalanta are considered higher than Marseille and it explains why their odds is better than Roma. It does not mean Atalanta are stronger than Roma.
