Manchester united form this season is one that we can't begin to talk about although everything in their squad looks fine but we know united and errors, I really can't say if they will be even chanced to win the Europa league because that competition too is a lot harder than before although they have recruited some excellent players like Sancho who played excellently for Dortmund last season.
There are many great teams in the Europa League this season who generally also have the strength and potential to be candidates for the Europa League title, so we shouldn't focus on just one team even though a team like Manchester United can also give their best performance in the Europa League this season. But we also have to look at every obstacle and also the opponents that each team must beat so the word is not easy to compete in the Europa League this season I think is much better to say because the level of fierce competition here is also very big for this season.
I don't know why now every time I hear Manchester United, doubts always arise, unlike when they were still a very strong and solid team, every time I heard them, my confidence was very high that they could be the best in a competition. In general, even though they are a team that has a good composition of players, they are also not in financial problems which are usually what makes a team worse. But at the same time when they have all the needs to be able to show something good, they can't show it. What I was previously highlighting was management, but now it has increased with the name of the coach who I think is the one who has an influence on Manchester United now.

Having good players in the squad does not guarantee that the team will perform well, let's look at what PSG experienced in the Champions League even though they had good players, at that time PSG had classy attackers in the front line (Messi, Neymar and Mbappe) but their presence was not enough to make PSG win the trophy. Mistakes like those that occurred last season must be prevented, Ten Hag also needs to make the team stronger with quality players who have just been brought in.

The opportunity for Manchester United is still wide open, as long as Ten Hag is able to maintain his team's performance, of course they are able to win the Europa League trophy. The success of recruiting quality players in the transfer market is good news for Manchester United fans, most likely their performance will improve but it all depends on Ten Hag's performance in handling his squad.

Manchester United did not perform badly in the warm-up match against Manchester City, it cannot be said how Manchester United will perform in the Europa League. There is a lot of difference between a warm-up match and a main stage match.

However, we have high expectations for Manchester United in this season of the European League. If this team performs as planned, they have the potential to do well.
Perform well in a single match and perform well through a long season is very different and with latest seasons, we have enough evidence that Manchester United failed to maintain their performances well throughout a long season. They had some great weeks or months but at the end of season, they failed to achieve their target at beginning of season.

I don't even think that Manchester United even have any targets for a very long time now and the F.A cup they won last season was just a clear coincidence because they didn't even bargain for it so it came as a very big surprise to the club even to their management because the performance of Manchester United for some seasons now is nothing to write home about.

Quote
Europa League has many matches, not only one match and Manchester United can be affected by their matches in Premier League too. They can not improve and only play like previous seasons, they actually lack of ability to win Europa League even Bayer Leverkusen will no longer be there.

Actually the Europa league will be a very tough one for Manchester United but considering the fact that they didn't expect to get to the Europa league if not for winning the F.A cup so they would want to make some positive impact even if they may not reach the finals. But they can still take everyone by surprise after all they won the Europa league in 2017 under Jose Mourinho so anything can be expected from the Red devils even if they lack the quality to win the Europa league.

I would say United looked good and I do not deny that at all, but I also have to say that City did not play that well neither that game. So we can't look at that game and assume that they will do fine. Remember, one game doesn't mean anything at all, same United who became fourth in UCL groups last year, ended up beating City to win FA cup last season as well, it both happened in the same exact season. So not only friendlies do not matter anything at all, but it also means that we are seeing nothing even in regular season when it starts from just one game.

This is why we should be careful about what we are seeing, and that will definitely matter for United to care about the whole season and build a team that can do well for the whole season, that will definitely be better. I know that it takes time to build a team for long period of time, and just as they got Yoro, dude got injured so it will be even harder for them but I am sure they will do fine.

The new format is actually easy to understand. Instead of having 32 teams in 8 groups, we have a league consisting of 36 teams in it. No groups anymore. The rules are the same with the Champions League new format like @imamusma mentioned the details. I hope it'd be fun. I'm not even sure if there was any need for such format change but anyway we'll see.  Smiley

The last champion is Atalanta. It was a really unexpected ending while Leverkusen were destroying every single team ahead of them. For now I'm hopeful about Manchester United this season.  Roll Eyes

Seriously it was an unexpected win for Atlanta last season in the Europa League, many of us think that Leverkusen is the favorite to win the title because of the way they played throughout the season, Leverkusen was playing in the league by winning in some games when the game is about to end and that give some us hope that Leverkusen will win the title but due to the nature of football Atlanta win the league, this season Europa league is going to be difficult to predict because there will be many teams that will be playing in the league and some of this team’s are very strong.

Talking about Manchester United to win this season Europa league, I don’t think this is the right time to talk about Manchester United winning the league, the club is facing a lot of problems these days and due to their performances against Manchester City I don’t think Manchester United can able to defeat every opponent they meet in the league, I know they try their best against Manchester City but if they want to win the a trophy this season they have to change some position in the team, most especially the goalkeeper that is behaving like he doesn’t know what he is doing when they are playing a penalty shootout.

Overall, Manchester United performance was very poor throughout last season, although Ten Hag managed to win the FA Cup Trophy from Manchester City, but in my opinion it was just luck because the match was a single leg. Manchester United failed to compete with other teams in the EPL last season, so they had to finish outside the European Zone, they qualified for the Europa League through a special route after winning the FA Cup. Manchester United must be ready to compete with other teams in the Europa League because there are many surprises here due to the team's motivation to continue to survive in this competition. The poor performance last season must be improved immediately, Manchester United also has problems with its players who are very susceptible to injury, so Ten Hag must prepare a solution if something bad happens to his squad.
Last season's badness will only be a lesson for Ten Hag who has now returned to strengthen the team by replacing players who are no longer productive. Ten Hag managed to recruit new players to improve every line that was very weak last season and this is one proof that Man United is able to compete strongly in any competition.
And regarding the Red Devils being able to win the FA Cup title, it is not luck but it is as if Man City does not need the title because they already have the EPL title and on the one hand Man City is also a neighbor of Man United which does not hurt to give Man United to still get tickets to the European league.

Think positively and we'll see later how Man United will compete in this competition and in my opinion Ten Hag's team seems ready to return to the path of a strong team like the last few seasons.

TNS vs Petrocup got a draw in today's match but Petrocup has created 1 aggregate in the first leg meaning Petrocup will qualify for the next play off round.

Today there is only 1 match Rigas FS vs UE Santa Coloma I think Rigas will qualify for the next round, he has created 2 aggregates in the first leg when playing away so there is no reason for Rigas to lose in this match here are the odds of both clubs today.

Betting on Rigas' victory has very small odds but if you want to bet higher, Asian total under 3.5 has odds @1.59 I think this is a good option I think there won't be many goals scored.

After seeing the game between Manchester city and Manchester United today I begin to almost nurse a doubt about their Europa performance this season if they are going to be really awesome and even brilliant enough to be lucky with the trophy, teams like Roma, and other regular Europa teams who will be participating this season and are very willing to win the trophies will definitely not give Manchester United a chance of this will be their performance.

With no much doubt, I think Roma will even be a challenge to Manchester United, I know city isn't a small team but at some point even their top players where substituted yet Manchester United failed at getting it right. At this point it becomes very necessary Manchester United works hard towards every form of improvement without hesitation.

I like this, if Roma is the MU's challenge then it seems to me that it is something very good, I want to see a connected MU, against Man City they did not do bad, knowing that what they played was only a pre-season game, but enough to realize that things were very evident at the time of playing, but as I said, in these competitions like the Europa League, the level increases to great levels, they want to be the best, they want to earn that place in the UCL by being first, that is why this Europa League fascinates me, I want to see Roma's level at the top.

Manchester United did not perform badly in the warm-up match against Manchester City, it cannot be said how Manchester United will perform in the Europa League. There is a lot of difference between a warm-up match and a main stage match.

In the Premier League we see that each team gets a chance to play 38 matches but in the European League there is no such system. Manchester United will have less number of matches to play in Europa League and if they do not get good points from this less number of matches they will not be able to go to the next round. Despite getting through the group stage, Manchester United could be defeated by the lesser teams in the second round if they can't maintain their offensive performance as well as their defense.

However, we have high expectations for Manchester United in this season of the European League. If this team performs as planned, they have the potential to do well.

A change may bring in some uncertainty as to the competitiveness between clubs but at the end of the day, football is about entertainment and uncertainty is what makes it exciting. So, no matter how the format changes, the Champions League will still be a tournament that many people look forward to.
I think UCL will always be interesting to watch because only the best teams in Europe will play in UCL. And I think this new format has a good thing where the team that will qualify is the team with the highest points collection. When UCL still uses the group format sometimes the team that qualified has less points than the team that did not qualify because they are in different groups. And now all teams have to play seriously and collect as many points as possible to get a slot to the next round. Honestly I am interested to be a part of history that will witness the new era of UCL.

We also don't know how the match will go with this new format because we are used to the old format that started with the group phase, I think the competition will be more difficult, different from before where more and more clubs participated here, even so I am still interested in the Europa League match, the second largest league after the Champions League which is no less competitive, besides the Europa League is more difficult to predict the winner compared to the Champions League where we already know who the strong candidates are.

For a new format, I also still feel or do not know so I can't guess which team has the potential to become a champion like Atalanta last season by defeating Bayer Leverkusen with a score of 3-0 made by a player named Ademola Lokman.
The European League will still be the second league after the Champions League with a decreased attraction. This is just because we still don't recognize the new format, later on the trip, we will understand well.

The new format won’t make the competition any different that much from the previous ones. The only difference I see here is that, all teams have to play in a league like format before they’ll know their fate in the next round of the game. The new format was just introduced to give more teams the privilege to participate in the Europa League and also makes the existing teams that usually qualify to the competition to be more serious in order to book their spot in the next round of the competition. Only those teams that makes it out of the first round that looks like the league format will be sure of how farther they can go and whom prediction can finally be settled on to be the potential winners of the Europa league title.

No one can stop the changes because we all understand things are going tougher after every year, and we are having more things to do so UEFA is also working on to increase their revenue so they are increasing the number of matches and teams because this will help them for having things on better way in the future.

Ending of relegation through Champions League is surely having some impact but still things will be well, and we will have too many quality clubs will be play here and fans will be also able to watch good soccer as they were having this all in last few years Atlanta done magic and having win of last season from nowhere, so things are always surprising and unpredictable because we are having results like these in history of the UEFA for years.

There is change all the time, and UEFA change to make it better in terms of competition and revenue. More teams and matches might bring about some difficulties but it also allows room for more unexpected or exciting moments during the Champions League. While the absence of relegation may later turn out to influence the dynamics, there will be a chance for quality clubs to make strong performances, just like Atalanta has done. There are always surprises in football, and that is what makes it so interesting for fans.

A change may bring in some uncertainty as to the competitiveness between clubs but at the end of the day, football is about entertainment and uncertainty is what makes it exciting. So, no matter how the format changes, the Champions League will still be a tournament that many people look forward to.

If Trabzonspor get eliminated in this round, it would be really surprising to me. I never thought they would lose to Rapid Wien home. There is normally a significant gap of quality between. But here we are.

Turkish teams are really not good at having a solid start to a season.  Sad  These are the first games for Trabzonspor and they don't look ready yet. But I hope it doesn't end up with their elimination.

Because probably I will bet on Trabzonspor to qualify anyway. You know 4.80 odds are really difficult to refuse.  Tongue  It is only 1-0 advantage for Rapid Wien which makes it quite possible.

I would agree as Rapid Vienna is not one of the strongest teams either in such phase of the competition, they sure can turn around the qualification thing and the bookies tend to play games with us,I don't understand that odd of 1.15 to qualify for Rapid Vienna when clearly only a goal difference is what divides these teams and as I said the players of Trabzonspor if taken individually should be a bit better if not a lot better. The fact that Trabzonspor lost at home does not mean quite a lot in my opinion, they were caught in a surprise goal in the late stages of the game and they could not respond back.I am sure they will be in Vienna with the mentality we have got nothing to lose so we go all out attacking, either we win this game and pass the round or they leave space behind and Rapid can punish them again and eliminate them from the Europa League.I don't know now with the change in formats if this means that they can still be playing in Europa Conference League after being eliminated in this round or they go directly to the group stages of Conference League.

Early predictions will be hard this time unless after the group stages because there will be home and away matches like before. Only teams with squad depth can withstand the pressure because domestic League games will still be going on and othe cup matches respectively.
Going through all the teams that makes it to the Europa League, I think Manchester United is among the most famous teams and it will likely be among the favorites to win the trophy if Ten Hag uses his players well because the team now have a lot of young talented players.
There are talented players for every single number of these clubs. We just have to watch the amazing performance of these players. The new format of these European leagues comes with sampling odds and it will definitely suit the standard of every clubs. Erik Ten Hag is included in the lists for the coaches that will deliver a great job for their clubs. Manchester United have spaced themselves to be always on top and they will always comes infront.

Manchester United if you ask me should be one of the favorite teams to win it because of their quality and star-studded squad.
It should be, but we know how Manchester United have played in the last few seasons, they have been so disappointing and have not shown their identity as one of the big clubs in Europe. Last season, for example, when they were in the Champions League, they were very disappointing and they had to occupy the bottom of the standings, even though in terms of status and the composition of the players they had, they were still better than the 2 clubs that were in their group at that time and at first they were also one of the favorites to be able to qualify for the knockout stages, but they failed to do so.

They are no longer a feared club in Europe, now they are even considered as one of the opponents who can provide great opportunities for their opponents. This is clearly a very bad setback experienced by Manchester United. Their identity has been lost and they cannot leave the quality of the glory days they once achieved in the past.
To be fair it would be alright for them to be not feared in UCL anymore, we saw how they did last season and it makes sense if they are not feared there anymore, but if we are talking about just Europa? They are still better than every team there. This doesn't mean that they are going to win it, last year Liverpool was seen as the best team, and finished third in the league and yet they lost to eventual winners Atalanta, or Leverkusen looked like they have it in the bag, 51 unbeaten games in a row, and then they lost to Atalanta too.

That means, United may look like the best team, and they may still lose, those two things are not exclusive to each other, just because you are the best team, doesn't mean that you are going to win, it just means that you are going to be the best that's it.

I believe that we are going to see no other team be as good as them, it's just not going to happen, and because of that we are going to see them win a lot but maybe not win the whole thing.

The European League will still be the second league after the Champions League with a decreased attraction. This is just because we still don't recognize the new format, later on the trip, we will understand well.
The UEFA Europa League is one of the hardest competitions to predict it's winner before the start of each campaign because there's every possibility that none of the teams that started the competition will win it at the end since other clubs drop from the UEFA Champions League to join the competition in knockout stages. Atalanta who are the current holders of the competition trophy after defeating Bayer Leverkusen in the final last season will be playing in the UEFA Champions League this season and so is their fellow finalists Bayer Leverkusen who German Bundesliga title last season. Manchester United if you ask me should be one of the favorite teams to win it because of their quality and star-studded squad.
When you ask people to predict the champion of the Champions League, the teams they will say are at most three or four before the season. There is more variety in who will win the Europa League, every season a team can surprise and win the Europa League, this makes this tournament more exciting for me.

While teams like Manchester United and Liverpool were talked about, Atalanta came up last season and Bayern Leverkusen were eliminated in the final.
