The point is, there are no players who deliberately play just to lose or are desperate or pessimistic, they are professional players with big paychecks and also their careers and good names are certainly a big responsibility to remain good. Thus, it makes no sense when you say players are not motivated to win, because in every match there will always be a winning team and a losing team. If you think when the team loses andthe players are not motivated to win, I think that is a wrong assumption because it is difficult to be the best above the best. So, in the case of Manchester United basically it must have the right coach, of course, to be able to maximize the potential of every player in the squad, not just keep buying players but the results remain poor.

I don't see them finishing in top 8. Most likely they will advance through playoffs but I wouldn't be surprised if they even have issues while doing it.

Manchester United doesn't look like a serious team to be among the favorites to win the Europa League, but the name alone is something just that Ten Hag is trying to fade the name Manchester United, if not if Manchester United is in its best form, they will remain the favorites not even the second favorites to win Europa League.

Manchester United can still bounce back especially in the Europa League because the critics alone will make the players play to their standard despite the coach influence in their performance; I am among people that believe that Manchester United can make it in the Europa League unless if Ten Hag didn't do well because Manchester United's performance is going down because of their coach's team selection.

Tottenham on the other hand look like a team that can do better this season, they have good team and the coach has learn from his last season's mistakes, and he can do well to lead the team to win something this season even though winning the Europa League might be difficult for them.

Ten Hag and his players cannot be completely blamed, but both have the right to be responsible for their respective roles. Each player is expected to be able to give his best game for the team, while the coach is also expected to give whatever he can in planning the game. During this time the team is clearly having problems, but one of the two parties does not need to be the only one responsible.

Watch how Manchester United players do in every match when their coach entrusts them to play from the start. Well, this is also what makes me wonder, why do they have a big chance to become champions, is it because of their big name? because if you look at the game they can present, in my opinion they are far from the hope of becoming champions. But I also expect them to become champions and actually I also make them one of the favorites, but not that big. I think their defense is not too bad, they conceded 5 goals in the domestic league and conceded 2 goals in the Europa League, that's not a bad record, in fact I think it's quite good. But I don't deny that they still have weaknesses that they need to fix, one of which is their balance when facing clubs that have the same level or better than them, that's a record that they need to fix immediately. However, in this Europa League, everything is not easy, because all clubs try their best to be able to talk a lot, especially for clubs that are rarely here or clubs that can't be in the Champions League because they can't reach it, at least the Europa League can be a cure for them and can be in the Champions League through direct tickets if they succeed in becoming champions.

However, i can agree with you here. Because i have a friend who is a die hard Manchester United fan. He was literally expecting a big loss in that game. Knowing full well that Aston Villa won Bayern in the UCL. He knew Manchester United where no match to Bayern and to Aston Villa in terms of performance.

Tbh, I'm not even bothered about Fenerbahce in the Europa league this season. These are the current outright odds for the Europa league on BcGame.

Man Utd might be struggling but they still have a better chance to win against Fenerbahce. ETH is currently in a very hot seat at Man Utd and would try to everything humanly possible to make sure his team doesn't lose. I expect a pretty tight game. Except you are going to make some exceptions, then i will agree with you else what you are saying isn't really true enough as it sounds like you are speaking from the view of having an interaction with only a fragment of the whole of Manchester united fans populace as the best i know is that most fans and even non fans are expecting more from them and even wasn't impressed enough with that performance against Aston Villa because Manchester united could do better.

You can see how bad the team has reduced her glory to the point that her fans get over excited when the team is playing q goal less draw against a small club like Aston Villa. The fans are not to be blamed because they are tired of complaining about the poor performance of Manchurian United but I blame the management of Manchester United who has kept their hope on Erik Ten hag to the point that he seems so comfortable to say a whole lot of shit after losing matches because of the backing he's got in the team. The other teams in the league is very happy because playing against United right now a good team should be able to get an easy 3 points unless the team is unlucky like Aston Villa because Manchester United is getting worse every day in their performance.
