It is more likely to see different champions in the Europa League compared to the Champions League obviously. For example there have been 7 different champions here in the previous 10 seasons.

What about this season? Do you think there is going to be another different one than all the others in those years? Currently Tottenham are highly favoured for the title. The match is worth waiting for and I can wait to see how Jose Mourinho will prepare his team for this big encounter and welcoming of his former team once again. It has really been a while and many things have happened since he left, so I don’t think he may get it that easily even though Manchester United are not giving that positive vibe of performing well this season and finishing in a very good position. Manchester United is a team that may still surprise us in this match and win the match despite their poor performance so far this season.

Although, this is the Europa League which more is expected from them and they also know that they have to give more than they’re giving in other competitions before they can go far in this competition. The format has really changed and the new format requires them to give in more effort than they use to before if at all they participated in the competition recently. Eric Ten Hag is not giving that notion that he can do well for the team this season, but that still doesn’t give away the fact that he’ll win this match and earn some points for Manchester United in this game. I will be well anticipating for this match because it’s promising to be a great game to watch.

If it weren't for the "Mourinho versus former club" subtext, it's unlikely that anyone (other than fans of the teams involved) would be interested in this game. This is the Europa League and this is the group stage. The only thing that might be interesting here is how unlucky United might be with Ten Hag - they have yet to win a single Europa League game and overall they have one win in their last 10 European games.

It's quite interesting if the context is Mourinho vs former club, it makes me think a little and what if Mourinho becomes a nightmare for Man United to end Erik Ten Hag career. Yeah, Spurs previously managed to get full points and that's why I'm very confident that Spurs will easily get full points when playing against AZ Alkmaar.

What else are anticipating other than seeing Manchester united showcasing their usual terrible game. Manchester united is currently undergoing difficulties and their performance is not impressive but keep declining from match to match. Fernabahce is also not doing too good now but they are still better than Manchester united from their track record despite that the opponents they normally play are not as strong as the ones United play against. Tottenham got a bad result in their last match after the defeat to Brighton, but in that match we can see how they appeared quite attractive, impressive and able to trouble Brighton throughout the match, I think we can't equate match againts AZ Alkmaar with when Tottenham faced Manchester City, because after all the quality and level of AZ Alkmaar is very far below Manchester City Grin

Sorry to correct but Tottenham Hotspur played against West Ham not Man City before facing AZ Alkmaar so Tottenham is not so stressed especially since the Premier League and Europa League matches are 6 days apart so Tottenham still has time to rest to prepare for the Europa League match.

Tottenham have won there last 2 Europa matches because I feel the opponents they play against where not much of a test for them, Qarabag is a team from Azerbaijan, imagine comparing a team from Azerbaijan to a big team from England, they also play ferencvaros which is a team also from Hungary, and Tottenham even coincided a goal to them and even have to finish the match defending. I know Tottenham are doing abit well in the league right now but they really coincide alot of goal and we all see how they are struggling in the league also to defend properly.

I strongly believe AZ Alkmaar will cause Tottenham alot of problems, I can even bet that they will score Tottenham that if they don't pick at least a point from north London, AZ Alkmaar are doing well league, they currently sit third in the league, they had a poor run of game lately but I think with the international break they will bounce back to their good foam and they will do better when they play Tottenham in their next Europa game.

I don't want to give too much hope of Tottenham but the teams they have faced in Europa League are not small, even this one is not going to be a big deal for them because even if AZ are struggling to climb up in the table, Tottenham will want to maintain their place in the table as well and their defense is now string than ever, maybe this is going to help them push more in their domestic league small.
