What's going on with Osimhen? played for 3 match and always has the most highest total shots, but he hasn't score any goal. There must be something wrong with him, even he wasn't happy in Napoli, but he can able to score many goals too.

Icardi only play for 12 minutes, but he can score a goal.

I think Galatasaray should prioritize Icardi to play as starter, at least they need to play until they score few goals to make sure they will win the match, then Osimhen play for the rest of the match.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Victor Osimhen. He is already making impact in Galatasaray. Since you don’t care about the three assists Victor Osimhen has given in his first three games with Galatasaray, you will be surprised to know that the goals have started coming in. Victor Osimhen scored for the first time for Galatasaray. He scored two goals against their opponents Kasımpaşa today. Osimhen scored the first goal in the 20’ minute and the second in 28’ minute of the game.

I'm really curious what Ajax will do in their future matches. They started much better than anyone expected surely. I see their fixtures aren't very difficult in general also. I mean Galatasaray and Lazio look like the toughest ones on paper. Real Sociedad are also normally a tough team but do they convince you with their football this season? They don't to me truthfully.  Sad

It was really sad to see Beşiktaş losing to them that hard. I really wonder what Galatasaray will do in an away match. They look really impressive these days but there is still a long time until this matchup.

We have criticized Ajax a lot because of their downgrade. But now they are really turning into a much better team.

I also did not expect Ajax to be able to beat Besiktas with a score of 4-0 because at least, Besiktas also still has good performance and its performance has not dropped very badly. But anyway, if I compare Ajax with Besiktas, then at least Besiktas can still be said to be able to make things difficult for Ajax, but in reality Besiktas was unable to hold back Ajax in its first match. But indeed,  even though Ajax managed to win with a big score like that, I personally still find it difficult to say that Ajax can advance further in the Europa League this season because after all, Ajax also still has bad results in the Eredivisie which might be a pressure for them if they have to get good results in all competitions.

It wouldn't be right to draw conclusions from the results of the first week because there will be a total of 8 weeks and there will not be any matches against the same team. That's why teams are trying different strategies. Championship contenders like Porto and Beşiktaş started with defeats, while Roma, Manchester United and Athletic Bilbao drew. There are still 7 weeks to play, so it wouldn't be right to look at the standings and say anything. The teams that played their easy games first may appear to be at the top at the moment, this will change in 2-3 weeks.
My favorite teams in the first week were Lazio and Ajax. They have a very strong game. I think especially Ajax's young squad will go far in this league. I think we will watch them in the semi-finals at least.
Yes, it is still too early to draw conclusions, the future picture is still vague, the competing teams have only played one match, it is certain that the standings will always change, there are still many surprises that have not happened in the future. the new format requires each team to achieve maximum results at home and away from home, there will be no revenge matches with this league format
porto, beskitas who started with bad results can still perform well and have the opportunity to advance to the next phase as well as man united, bilbao, and roma have the same opportunity depending on each team maximizing each match.
I agree ajax performed very well in their first match and embarrassed besiktas with a score of 4-0 without reply, farioli's squad must be watched out for by other teams, hopefully they can maintain their consistency to advance further in the UEL this season.

I agree with you; things can take good changes because we are having 7 rounds left, and no team is going to face each other again and all are having weak and strong opponents which can give good chance of staying into good spot after few rounds of this new format.

First week was good as we are having good surprises specially big defeat for the Besiktas and then home draw for the Manchester United bring good surprises Athletic Bilbao done good comeback in last few minutes against AS Roma this was also interesting end while Ajax performance against Besiktas was also one of the shocking win because as Ajax having performance in their domestic league things were looking not favourable for them to have win like this, but they perform good and having big win against inform Besiktas.

Fenerbahce are not like the team managed by Mourinho now, over time it will all come down to the fact that he will strengthen the defense, this will affect the team's attack, but for some reason it seems to me that this will not work in the Turkish championship, and as you said, losing 5 points in 6 rounds is too much, and Galatasaray is going without losses, and Besiktas can already bypass them if they win their game. Not the best prospects for the team, it is obvious that the hope was on Mourinho's authority, but his recent results show that his strategy is becoming outdated.

If their opponent didn't get a red card, I don't think Fenerbahce would have gotten that win. What I saw, Fenerbahce only played well at the start, but after that one goal, they tended to play defensively, and that actually became an opportunity for U.S Gilloise to develop their rhythm. I thought that was Mourinho's strategy because like before where Mourinho really prioritizes winning without having to play well and even if it's just 1 goal.
The red card received by Kevin mac Allister from Union St. Gilloise did make Gilloise blunder with their line which created an opportunity for Fernerbache to attack to win the match, after the red card did make Fenerbache more active in attacking and getting a goal, the hard kick was blocked by Moris but still bounced hard and hit Burges which made the ball bounce back towards Moris' goal and created an additional goal for Fenerbache which made it an own goal.

Ten Hag really can't compete in this match well, it's better not to keep him anymore or if I insist I have to see Manchester United's decline even deeper. Cry

Well I've actually been saying that for more than 3 seasons where Ten Hag has been the worst decision of the MU and the only one responsible for taking this team to the lowest levels in the world , I don't know how they support him, what do they see in him? What is it that they like about him as a coach? I've seen that many people here in the forum defend him to death, why do they really defend him? the fact that they lose a lot ? the fact that they are not going to win Anything important with him ? that is what I see all the time, for me things will improve at the MU once that man leaves.

This is indeed a big question, what made them keep Ten Hag at Man United? why keep him so hard after many people criticized him harshly, so far still confused with the advantages that Ten Hag has, maybe there are people who want Man United to be destroyed in his hands. LOL

Drăgușin indeed did a mistakes and it caused the referee give him red card at 7 minutes and i thought this incident will makes Tottenham will be playing under pressure but we can see it that the red card since early match didn't have any effect to Tottenham performance because today they can able to beat Qarabag with the final scores 3-0 and i think this is fantastic because playing with 10 players but Tottenham still able to beating Qarabag with huge scores
I think even if Tottenham could win with 10 players, they would only score 1 goal or a 1 goal difference in victory. But here, they really dominated the match with 3 goals. Whereas on the other side, Qarabag also launched a barrage of attacks on Tottenham, but they could be controlled and repelled effectively so that there were no goals at all.

That's why Tottenham's players rating is so good in this match, they deserve this.

Source: tottenham vs qarabag rating

There are indeed several versions of the rating, but the point is, the full Tottenham players got a good rating, except for Dragusin who received a red card.

Tottenham have been doing better under the current manager much better than Pochettino was doing. Qarabag are not a tough opponent for Tottenham in the game so going down to 10 men didn’t make much impact on their performance. Though Qarabag would be happy they got an advantage but Spurs still dominated them in the game and scored more goals to win. Kudos to Tottenham for starting their campaign on a fine note.

Ajax did play quite well and in the second half they were more crazy by getting 3 additional goals and that surprised me too, in the first half Besiktas could slightly compensate for how Ajax played and Ajax could only get one goal but the second half really made us stunned on Ajax's way.
Olympiakos was made helpless by Lyon in the first half they were quite balanced but in the second half Olympiokos had a lot of blunders and that made Lyon's opportunity to control this match.

Ajax team has not been in good form this season. In the Eredivisie we see the average Ajax team at the top of the table. The Ajax team dominates the Eredivisie. But now this team is in tenth place in the table. Ajax won 2 out of 4 matches. The team's performance is erratic. For these reasons, I considered the Besiktas team as the favorite.

I have seen excellent performances of Besiktas in Super Lig matches. Besiktas have played well in almost every Super Lig match. But the performance of Besiktas players against Ajax was abysmal.

The dominance of Ajax's players was evident throughout the match. Ajax players made a total of 17 shots. 9 of these shots were on target. On the other hand Besiktas' players could not get a single on target shots. We saw Besiktas' poor performance both in attack and defense against Ajax.

Ajax is probably preparing for the Europa league and he is more important than his domestic league so they are not optimal in running matches in the Eredivese domestic league this season.
Besiktas' strategy has seen its weakness in the second half which makes Ajax easy to get their goal, and that is where Besiktas' mistake in this match even though in the domestic league they are almost running well, but Ajax is able to see the opportunities that exist in the Besiktas line.

Perhaps Besiktas' defense and attack should be improved if they want to win in the Europa League this season, because it will be very competitive.

Ten Hag was really disappointing so far and he was not helpful for Manchester United at all Even after the bad relationship he had with some players and the huge money he spent for Manchester United he still couldn't get the result Manchester United wanted to see from this coach and this can show Ten Hag is not going to stay in Macnshter United for a long time.
Maybe he will not see the new year in Manchester United.
The fact about Manchester United in the European matches they had is they only won one game in the last nine games they had in Europe games and now they got a 1-1 draw against Twente.

So far Erik Ten Hag has won two trophies for Manchester United. I think this achievement is the reason why Manchester United are still backing Erik Ten Hag as manager of the club despite his shortcomings. I don’t think Ten Hag is a bad coach he lacks consistency, if Ten Hag can manage to get that consistency and stability in the team’s performance then maybe he can save his job come January.

I know it's too early to predict which team in the UEFA Europa League will likely win the competition this season but considering the performance of Galatasaray in their first game of the competition, I have a strong belief that they'll go far in the competition. The Turkish champions in the game against PAOK was able to show strong winning mentality that looks like that of a team with a strong purpose.
Ajax did also had a good performance that saw them score plenty of goals so I think there's a lot to watch out for in the UEFA Europa League this season. At the end, one winner is going to emerge.

The UEFA Europa League is a very tough event that teams and players have to go through. We cannot yet predict who will win the UEFA Europa League this season. It is too early to determine the best because the UEFA Europa League still has a long way to go. The game displayed by Galatasaray at the start of the 2024/2025 season shows that they are one of the teams that will advance to the semi-finals in this big competition but are still competing with the strongest team like Ajax who are always able to get full points in every match.

I see Galatasaray continuing to improve their performance throughout training. so that you can win lots of trophies and emerge as the championship at the end of the match.
I think it's too early for us to assume that galatasaray will be able to go far or even win the European league this season just because based on one match, indeed in the match against Paok it can be seen that galatasaray has a mentality and also quality that is quite ideal to be the favorite team, but we can't deny that there will be many obstacles that can indeed be a barrier to galatasaray winning later,  Moreover, indeed the change in format in the current Europa League requires every team to stay focused and have a qualified squad depth to face a tight schedule, Galatasaray so far has a good team quality with many former European players playing in their current squad, but if we reflect on the journey of the Europa League last season then the quality of the team will not necessarily guarantee that they can go as far like what happened to Liverpool last season, The competitive atmosphere of the Europa League is very tight and allows for surprise factors that occur, including teams that are not favorites, but are finally able to win the Europa League like Atalanta last season.

This is fine. Even if it's the Champions league, I only want to see teams in the top half of the league. I'm happy to see Galatasaray at the top of the table not just because they won me my bet on Wednesday but because of Victor Oshimen is in their team. Looks like you're a fan of Turkish teams Smiley. My prediction is that Galatasaray will go on to be one of the main contenders for the Europa league this season. They are given that kinda vibes plus Gala have been head to head with Man Utd before in the Champions and we're ahead of Man Utd in the said group so this isn't their first rodeo in European competitions.
The level of attention Galatasaray have gotten lately is so surprising. Could it be that the signing of Victor Osimhen is the clue to such level interest? I remember that people hardly paid attention to them regarding their performance in the Europa but since Victor Osimhen joined the club, there have been rapid increase in traffic regarding the club. Maybe it could be because of the controversy that surrounded the leaving of Osimhen from Napoli and the interest shown by top teams from different continents. Whatever it is, I think Galatasaray is the greatest beneficiary in this case and the morale of the players is already showing that. Now people are tipping them to win the Europa league this season.

Another stinker by Manchester United at the European level. At this point, I think any team knows how to overplay ETH's tactic. They just need to give MU the ball, then let them do everything with it. This is caused by their have no clue what to do with it anyway. They were always passing the ball to their defenders. And that is what they are really good at.

They play at home, at near-full strength, and against an Eredivisie team. And is that the performance we get?

That makes them only get one win in nine European matches now. Terrible. A very incompetent club. Their level is not European.
This is why people shouldn't really excited when Manchester United won 7-0 against League One's teams, now they didn't even able to beat Eredivisie's teams. FC Twente isn't even a strong team, they're rarely become a champion and runner up, mostly they finish at 3rd or 4th positions.

I thought this will be an easy match for Manchester United and they will able to finish at top 8th positions, but I guess they will not able to achieve it easy.
Lol... I don't view Man U as a strong club to be reckoned with in the EPL anymore and the reason is obvious, I wonder what the changes in coaches then have helped them achieve and what Erik ten Hag has achieved so far. If the guy doesn't perform well this season, he might be shown the way out.

When Man U had 7-0 against Barnsley, I wasn't moved at all, this is because the club is obviously the senior of Barnsley, so what did you expect? And no one should think better of Man U when it met with Twente of the Dutch league. Twente is not a lesser team in the league, so I envisaged what I saw Wednesday as a draw fits the outcome because Man U can't beat the opponent with their current feat.

Again I had to experience defeat in my bet just because of 1 match out of 4 matches that I entered in the parlay bet even though I was very sure about this bet.
It is basically very difficult to predict the Europa League match because the chances will be the opposite of the expectations that we expect.
Initially I found it difficult to choose between Ajax and Besiktas because I thought both clubs were equally strong and I chose the option for BTTS because I thought both teams would score but it turned out that Ajax scored many goals without reply which made them win with the biggest score among the other contestants I think this is a good start for Ajax in the Europa League.
Wow, this is a very nice prediction, I watch the match and besikatas had there chances to score and they didn’t take it, but if I had seen your game earlier I would have rather play the Ajax match over2.5 because it look safer. Besiktas is one team I hate to gamble on, like it just too add know what they are capable of doing, you can't even bet on them to win or to even play over. There are teams that are just so haed to make predictions on.

I knew fenebarche was going to win yesterday, after that derby lost against Galatasary definitely Jose morinho and his boys needed a bounce back, they have started the season so well and now that they are back to winning ways. Jose morinho is really building a strong team and they are blending already so I expect a trophies from fenerbahce this season.

I feel sad that your predictions was lost but sincerely it was a good prediction, better luck next tim mate.

I initially thought about betting on Ajax but seeing the odds I became unsure because their opponent is an elite club from the Turkish league that cannot be underestimated, even though they lost I think Besiktas is not that resigned seeing Ajax players creating many goals and Besiktas can reply with at least one goal but from what I saw Besiktas could not make a shot on goal at all even though overall both were quite fair in dominating the ball.

I think it is difficult for Jose Mourinho to bring Fenerbahce to win the UEL even though Jose Mourinho is experienced in this competition but there are still opponents they have to beat there are other strong candidates who must be eliminated in order to win the trophy.

It is still very far and too early to talk about which team will be the champion this season. Because even big teams are not able to answer the trust that comes to them, and what is more interesting is that almost every season we cannot predict who will be the champion. Like last season where Leverkusen and Liverpool were the biggest favorites, but they failed and Atalanta managed to become champions.
Just passed the first match and we are still in the league round where the journey is still very long for us to be in the knockout round for example. Not to mention there will be a play-off match between the teams ranked 9th to 24th.

In this format it is really difficult to get an image of the full standings. Even I do it will take a lot of space so I wanted to get only top 8 for now.  Smiley

This is how it looks after the end of the first week games. Seeing Galatasaray in top 8 makes me happy. We are at the beginning of everything, I know. But making a good start is really important.

It isn't easy to finish in top 8 among all those clubs. I want to see at least one Turkish club finishing there and Galatasaray to be that one if possible as they are my club.  Tongue  We look really good for now after that convincing win over PAOK.

Galatasaray played very well in their first match but we can say that they still have some defensive deficiencies. They have a few weeks to fix these deficiencies. They will also compete with stronger teams and they need to play their best defensively to beat them. They were very effective offensively against PAOK. At the end of the day, Galatasaray was the winning team. Their forward area is especially good. They have a better forward area than most of the Europa League teams.

Mine is having a different opinion about Fenerbahce's game. The first half was very awful for me to watch. They had no control over the ball, and that almost cost them their win caused by Osayi's serious blunder. In the second half, they played better. Their opponent played openly and looked tired. It gave them a bunch of chances to score, but they almost missed it all.

The good thing was that a funny goal happened to them, and it helped them secure three points. Also, a player worth mentioning is Amrabat. He helped them win. But, when Fred was subbed off, he had no clue where to pass.

In the end, despite their up and down performance in the game, a win is a win.

You could just get the whole table and reduce the height and width to forum suitable. I like to see the whole table, as the top exists to see, so also the bottom. I see that someone said that they only like to see the top 8 but he mentioned Manchester United. Now I want to know the position of Manchester United in the table, can anyone help me?

For Galatasary and victor osimhen, I think it is somehow early to predict what happens. Things can change more than expected in football. There are alot of good teams in Europa league this season.
