Maybe under Amorim he will become more stable, or at least Amorim will make it so that he has less work (and less chance of making mistakes).

Agreed, the reason Onana is the main choice to enter the starting lineup, because basically Manchester United does not have another goalkeeper who has better quality than Onana. Thus, Amorim will still choose Onana as Manchester United's main goalkeeper. But yes, I hope the other goalkeepers on the Manchester United bench can develop better in a short time. Because of course, if they can do that then it will be a chance for other goalkeepers in the Manchester United squad to get the chance to play to replace Onana. My guess is that they don't have an alternative goalkeeper. They are rare and the only thing Amorim can do about it in the middle of the season is to express his trust for Onana or otherwise he would further weaken him. He has made mistakes repeatedly, but I think he was more stable recently apart from the game against Plzen, but they still won the game though.

It comes down to whether Manchester United is able to sign a new top goalkeeper or not. I doubt it because they are very likely going to not play in the Europa League next season and I don't think any great goalkeeper would decide to go to Manchester United if they can't play any of the bigger tournaments.

Onana loses his concentration sometimes and then he looks as if the lost orientation especially in the box. It's so vital for a goalkeeper to avoid the easy mistakes. The problem is if he defends five balls in a spectacular way but then makes a stupid mistake, the game can still be lost.

They actually have alternatives with two backup goalkeepers but in quality maybe Onana is considered better than the other two goalkeepers, so indeed next season Amorim should pay special attention to the position of goalkeeper, considering the absence of competition created for Onana at this time to get the position as main goalkeeper,if Manchester United wants to return to the positive path, then they must strengthen the goalkeeper position, maybe they even need to consider some great goalkeepers who has proven their quality and consistency over the years to become competitors for Onana later.

I do not doubt the quality of Onana's game in guarding the Manchester United goal, but the problem is that Onana often harms Manchester United several times. So it's a test I would love to see, but none of them tries it.
