I was a bit surprised when Osimhen left Napoli to join the Turkish league as this talented player was supposed to be promoted to a better club but he is playing in a Turkish league side deprived of the best clubs in Europe. He will contribute well in every match he is currently playing for the team and as long as he is in the team, his team will get a lot of good performances from him, if he is physically fit. Osimhen may not have been as good at his former club as he seems happy at his current club Galatasaray. Now let's hope that he can do well in European competitions and contribute well for his team so that the big clubs in Europe will offer him next season.
The main reason why Osimhen left to play at Galatasaray was the fact that there weren't many options to pick from. Napoli tried to sell him during the transfer window, and they kept asking for the 130 million release clause, which no team offered and that caused a problem with transfer offers, every team just withdrew, and found other players instead.
So when Napoli decided to sell him for less, all the teams that offered money were withdrawn and already decided on others, and that meant Napoli had to drop the price more and more. At some point, even a Saudi team offered 80 and Napoli accepted, but Ivan Toney was 40 million so they went with him instead. So, Turkish league and Russian league were the only teams that Osimhen could leave to, and Russia is literally at war, so Turkey looked better.
There are one or two more other teams who could have paid for his salary in Türkiye and all had great strikers, so Galatasaray was the only one who decided to take a chance.
