Holy moly camoly guys the final is today! I didn't even realize it I felt like it was supposed to be in June like CL but then I saw the news headlines and it's on.

Sevilla and Roma, and the sportsbooks are all like us, can't decide who is better, however Sevilla has slightly smaller odds but very very slight.

I want Roma for a nice story who won Conference last year, if they win Europa it will be like promotion via cups.

But this is Sevilla playground, so they will win, either by outright or PK.

who will put their hand on CL spot, Sevilla or Roma, that is probably more important that simple Europa league trophy
Roma is in series, last year Conference, so this Europa league and next year CL Smiley
on the other hand, Sevilla is here at home, and even after miserable season, they are close to secure Conference league spot through La Liga, but CL spot through Europa league is much better feat

not sure what to think about winner, but expecting under goals

We have a huge final match ahead between Roma and Sevilla now. The finale is in Budapest and it is really hard to pick a side right now. Roma are doing amazing things with Mourinho's great work in the Europa League. Things aren't very well for them in the Serie A in terms of ending the season in top four. Hence it looks like they will have to win this finale to reach the Champions League as well.

The same thing is valid for Sevilla as well. They made a horrible start to the season and they experienced the danger of relegation for some time too. But now they are also putting their best effort into it to win the title. Sevilla might come one step forward in this due to being dominant in the tournament considering the past years.

However I believe in Mourinho more than Mendilibar in a big finale like this.

Maybe I don't understand football, but I just can't understand how it wasn't penalty in Sevilla - Juventus game? Again, Sevilla was better team, but with that penalty awarded they could have won without extra time. Though, can't say that Juve played bad.
Bayer - Roma, expected to see some goals scored, but Mourinho parked his bus at it's finest. You can love or hate Mou, but he reached second UEFA final in a row - last year Conference league and now Europa league

Leverkusen - Roma game was just completely one-sided. Mourinho didn't surprise me by preferring a fully defensive game in the second leg in Germany. I remember only one shot by Roma in the first minutes which wasn't even on goal and that's it. Leverkusen completely dominated the game as a result and had so many goal chances also. However most of these chances were wasted by bad shots.

Because Roma did one thing really great in this game which was to force their opponent for shots from outside the penalty area. Leverkusen's goal attempts were mostly that during the whole game. I remember only 3 shots which could have really resulted in a goal:

- Diaby's targeting the goal post
- Kerem's nice shot to the right corner which was saved amazingly
- Azmoun's nice attempt to the corner which was a close one

Roma are in the finale thanks to Mourinho's usual "park the bus" strategy.

Today in semfinal game between Sevilla - Juventus I'm backing Sevilla. They looked more solid on first leg and now they're playing at home. My pick for this game is Sevilla to qualify @1.73.
Bayer - Roma looks so difficult to predict, Roma having minimal advantage from 1st leg is factor, but it can disappear so quickly. Personally, I would prefer to see Roma in the final.

Juventus' job is indeed going to be tough in Sevilla's home. Because Juventus couldn't even play properly in the first leg and barely saved a score of 1-1 for themselves. If it weren't for Gatti's header things were going to be extra difficult for Juventus. But things are still quite difficult for them if they keep up the same level of effort.

Because the rematch wouldn't be the same. Sevilla would like to improve their dominance level even more just as they did against Manchester United. It isn't that hard for them to do this too considering their in-form look recently. Juventus need to care about their defense much more.

I indicated before that Sevilla were underestimated by bookmakers when we checked the odds of the match. I wasn't expecting them to give up easy and one of my score predictions was 1-1 which really happened. Sevilla were nearly getting a win there if it weren't for that last minute header by Gatti. He was like a savior for his team maybe but I don't see any team saved still.

Because Juventus were really bad in the first half and the second half wasn't very good either. They wasted so many chances at the same time. Sevilla would surely like to control the game in Spain to finish the job. I think they will do a pretty good job about that.

For all those who have followed Sevilla in recent years, this result is no surprise.
Although Sevilla doesn't play well in the Spanish championship, they are the absolute record holders in terms of the number of trophies won in the European league.
In total, they won as many as 6 trophies in this competition, in the period 2014-2016 they won this competition three times in a row and are the most successful European club in this competition.
Given this tradition, I was sure that Sevilla would be a very difficult opponent for Juve and that's what happened, Juve luckily avoided defeat in the last minute.
I think that Sevilla has a better chance of reaching the finals, but we will see a very uncertain and open match in return.

Juventus better not progress, they totally don't deserve it at all the way they played.
People saw that Arsenal lost to Lisbon, Barcelona lost to United, United lost to Sevilla and so forth. By that I mean people saw that there has been a lot of changes and a lot of stuff and that is why it looks like it is something normal and not shocking. I realize that it is not going to be that much of a trouble and I know that Sevilla will probably lose but after seeing so many unexpected results, I feel like people are trying to get themselves ready for anything they possibly can.

It is going to be something normal to have, and not going to change much if Juventus wins which is what we all assume, but if Sevilla wins, nobody would be shocked about it neither, that is going to be a normal situation as well. So betting on this game is a bit tough.

What on earth are you going on about man lol

It's normal, not shocking, something normal, getting ready for anything they possibly can. You're not new to the gambling subforum but you still manage to not contribute with your posts Tongue

Betting is always tough, but we're all looking for different things in gambling. Good odds? Some flaw that bookies overlook, like Sevilla being good no matter what in Europa, despite their shit performance in La Liga?

Good to see you here and believing in Sevilla, but the odds turned out to be right after all, because it was 5x for Sevilla and 2.5x for a draw, and the draw actually happened.

I have a terrible experience with Sevilla and Valencia in La Liga, I managed to cut my losings with Valencia but somehow I am tricked by Sevilla again and again Sad

Everyone does assume that Juventus will be the winner because the Juventus game pattern is better. But indeed in reality during the match, Sevilla was able to compensate for Juventus well and even frustrated Juventus because in the first leg match Sevilla was able to score first. Although in the end Juventus replied to the goal in the last minute so that the match ended with a 1-1 draw.
In the second leg, the match will certainly be more exciting and Juventus will not underestimate the strength of Sevilla again. Juventus must be really wary of sevilla's fast attacks. The second leg will be scheduled on May 19, 2023 at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Field.

Sevilla proved what Real started, they are bounded to this competition, and one can't just count them out, due to being bad in La Liga
Juventus is still good to pass through the final, but everything can happen in re-match

Bayer played a bit better than result shows, but they will need to win at home to reach the final, Roma scored, they didn't, and that is all key stats from the first match
I have never underrated Sevill for once, even before the clash with Manchester united in the quarter-final stage I had already predicted in their favour. That was mostly because Manchester United doesn't have good records against Sevilla nor do they have a better achievement in the Europa League than them.  If Sevilla could humble Manchester United once again there will be no reason to look underestimate them in a match against Juventus still in this same tournament.  As it stands now Sevilla stands a better chance than Juv

Yeah, this is the second time in 2 games I've bet quite risky on Sevilla at great odds, only to have them draw.

They won't lose easily, but it does seem they also won't be able to win easily. I want them through, but also Roma, and then the Italians to get the cup.

The value bets are on Juve and Roma though, away teams just get such a boost to price, even if the home stadiums aren't all that intimidating...

Just because they managed to beat United doesn't mean that they are great, United scored on their own goal twice, and they had some silly funny mistakes that was humiliating for the fans but they lost because of that in the end which makes Sevilla not that great. We need to understand that it is not going to be that great for them, and they can't really change much about it neither.

It's just how it is and we need to move on. I personally believe that the best thing to do in this case is to make sure that Juventus has high morale, they are getting punishments after punishments from the league which drops the morale sometimes, if they can stop that and keep the players hyped about this game then they could end up with a win without a doubt.
Seems that your comment didn't aged very well Smiley As I said, Sevilla is unpredictable team and this is why I skipped betting on this game. And they were actually better team today IMO, no luck factor like against MU. 1 goal isn't huge difference, but now I see Sevilla as quite significant favorites.
Roma won 1:0 against Bayer, won my bet too. But Roma didn't had significant advantage today, it was game of more or less equal games, everything can happen in 2nd leg.

They are favorite on paper but sevilla is probably the most experience team when we compare the two teans In Europa league competition. Right from the beginning, juventus should have known that its going to be very hard when it comes to eliminating this sevilla side as they would have used the quarter finals between Manchester united and them as an highlight. Juventus is trailing by a goal difference and should buckle up to in the second half if they want any chance of qualification.

I really thought Sevilla would win this game. I was so sure before the game. I even placed a bet on Sevilla.
Sevilla almost did it. They were the better team, they had more opportunities to score. Juventus just got better towards the end of the match, but they still did not have many goal scoring opportunities. I felt really bad when Juventus scored because it was the last minute of the game and I thought I had won the bet.
Overall, it was a good game. End to end attack.
I'm still betting on Sevilla to win the second leg and qualify for the final. Sevilla has the advantage in the second leg because they will be playing at their home stadium.

Sevilla's run in this season has been quite interesting. Their luck was a big help until a point first of all. I would like to remind you of their first leg match against Manchester United as well. They were so lucky about scoring those goals late in the match and getting a draw somehow. However things have started to change by the rematch. There was a really solid effort by Sevilla in the second leg.

They have been doing pretty good in the La Liga for a while as well. Therefore I think that we have already left behind Sevilla's horrible look. They have started to get positive results and this should be helpful in their upcoming matches in the Europa League as well.

Juventus are currently the most favoured team for the title by bookmakers. But I think they will have a hard time against Sevilla for sure.

I was doubting Juventus a lot for the first leg truthfully. I thought it wouldn't be an easy match for them at all. Now we are seeing the exact same thing. Sevilla have turned this match into a nightmare for them because they are like dominating the statistics now. Juventus can't even create many dangerous chances here. They don't even have a shot on target and there are only 3 goal attempts by them so far.

Sevilla did dominate the game in the first half, but that's not everything. There is still a second half, a team like Juventus will certainly not let this condition last until the end.

If you look at the current match conditions, Juventus are trying to take away the dominance that belongs to Sevilla. I'm sure the final score won't be as bad as you think and it's also a good opportunity to pick a Juventus win in the second half.
