Very sorry to put the Legia v Spartak Moscow match in my parlay bet, from that match I only got low odds because I bet only on over 1.5 goals. Waiting until the last minute of the game Legia really couldn't score, they played at home and in the last minute of the game Legia got a penalty kick but Tomas Pekhart who came on as a substitute couldn't make it a goal. If it is a draw then Leicester will still be runners up and Napoli will be group winners but yes, Spartak Moscow can maintain their 1-0 lead until the end and make it group winners but unfortunately such gameplay is obviously very boring.

The main problem with predictions in the europa league is that the teams have no obvious motivation to participate in this tournament, at least it is not a priority. If we compare it with the Champions League (where even the first and second places in the groups were actually distributed in strict accordance with the strengths of the teams), then the situation in the Europa League is simply chaotic.
Although it seems true, but I'm starting to think that the focus of teams failing in the Champions League at the moment is starting to turn towards the Europa League because this is a tournament they have to win if they want to win European competitions. title this season. This is their second chance to win a title in a European tournament other than the Champions League, so they need to be focused and motivated to take it.

When I look at the results of Group C, I understand that this is very close to the truth: Spartak (which is in 9th place in the weak Russian championship) takes first place overtaking Napoli and Leicester  Grin
As for the motivation to win the tournament, some clubs will have it, and some will not. For example, I'm sure Barcelona will be more worried about getting into the top 4 in La Liga than winning the Europa League.

Leicester couldn't benefit from their last opportunity to stay in the EL as they lost to Napoli by 3-2 in the away game. It was a very competitive game though and Napoli became victorious. Leicester gave a big hope to their fans after turning the game around and equalizing the score. But they still couldn't prevent Napoli from scoring the third goal and finishing the job. If Legia didn't miss the penalty in the last minute, we would have seen Leicester in the next round and S. Moscow out of this tournament.
Leceister City defence was very poor and awful was responsible for their defeat, imagine they couldn't defend their goals, Brender Rodgers is not getting things right for the club lately, playing against a Napoli side without some key players like Osimen, Insigne and Koulibaly due to injury implies that the performance had dwindled even matches played in EPL, well as it is now they had been demoted to English conference League having missed the opportunity of advancing to the next round.
It was not even only in the Napoli game. Leicester city defence has been extremely bad this season. They are the 4th team to have conceded more than 25 goals this season in the English premier league. And the highest conceding side in their Europa league group. Brendan Rodgers has failed to address this defensive problems. He sometimes plays out two defensive midfielders and concede more goals. I dont really know what the problem is right now. He should have used the absence of Napoli's first team players like Koulibaly, Lorenzo Insigne and Victor Osimhen to even grab a draw against them but he failed to capitalise on that chance, now they have to play in the Conference league.

Here's the reality. I knew Leicester City wouldn't last very long with the way they were conceding goals in this competition. Following a 3-2 defeat to Napoli, Leicester City are out of the Europa League. That's the place (Conference League) Leicester City belong. Poor Leicester City. The reason why teams drop from UCL to Europa and then to conference is not clear to me. Leicester didn't take the competition seriously!

As an English Premier League spectator, to be honest I really want Leicester to qualify for the next round, but even though they appeared quite dominant against Napoli in the last match, I think Leicester were unlucky because they had to concede a goal first in the 4th minute and made the score end 3-2 for Napoli victory, according to statistics, Leicester were able to shoot 15 shots with 5 on target, while Napoli only made 11 shots of which 5 were on target.

One of the decider matches today is Real Sociedad v PSV. Currently, PSV are two point ahead of Real Sociedad and they are at the second place. Real Sociedad have no other choice than winning this match. And PSV have many players missing at the same time. And their previous head-to-head match ended 2-2. Consequently, my expectation is that Real Sociedad will get at least a draw.
It looks like Real Sociedad have been under pressure which resulted in their performance falling, because what I realized earlier Real Sociedad looked good in La Liga as well as in UEL. But nearing the end of the last match of the group stage Real Sociedad did not look fine, now even though Real Sociedad are playing at home but that does not guarantee Real Sociedad will win. Because after all, PSV only needed a draw and that was enough for PSV to lock up the second place. But yes, even though in my view Real Sociedad seems to have no hope of qualifying, but on the one hand I also believe Real Sociedad will certainly give their all and will try to win. Therefore, I personally do not believe the result will be a draw because with a competition like this it is very possible that one of them will win.

^ Real Sociedad should win this match against PSV and move up in the group to second place. They are not having a good run in the recent past but I think this match they will try their hardest and should win this match. In the Europa League, they are not doing too bad, to be honest, but in La Liga, it's another story. They have lost their last four league matches. That has made everyone question their ability to be consistent in their matches and that's why there Good be some doubt about this match but I do believe that this is going to be a win for Real Sociedad.

And Real Sociedad won this match very comfortably by 3-0. Maybe PSV got a red card in this match but it was in the 75th minute. Until then, Real Sociedad already captured a 2-goal advantage ahead of PSV. Honestly, I wasn't expecting PSV to show this poor performance. They had missing players but they should have been able to fight properly at least.

The group stage in the Europa League is over.  Royal Antwerp defeated Olympiacos 1-0.  Napoli managed to beat Leicester City 3-2.  Napoli's young player Eljif Elmas became a star with 2 goals.  Real Sociedad, on the other hand, defeated the important team of the Netherlands, PSV, 3-0.
It is unfortunate that the English representative team was finally eliminated in the Europa League, even though Lecester had led the standings, but the defeat against Napoli last night with a score of 3-2, they were eliminated from the Europa League, only representing one. from England, West Ham, I hope Ham can compete for the final, just like last year representatives from England were able to lift the Europa League and Champions League trophies.
There is real pressure on David Moyes's West Ham United. They might have little to no squad depth in the team. They are currently in a position in the English premier league where they cannot afford to slip off or lose concentration. They have a big injury blow in the back line. Kurt Zouma and Ogbonna are out and having Antonio as their only point man is something not quite good. I am afraid that with the series of games and pressure on them to perform and remain in that position fatigue and injuries will surely set in and they will have to concentrate and channel their energy to one of the competitions. If not they might lose out on both.

I'm really surprised by Galatasaray's performance in the group stage. As their opponents were quite tough considering the quality of this tournament, I thought like that they would barely take the second place or move down to the Europa Conference League. But it turns out that they ended their group as its leader. They claimed an important one point against Lazio the last time and secured the place. I wonder how far they will be able to go forward in this tournament.
Me too i was surprised to see their performance in europa league especially after the confusing performance in the turkish league they ended the group stage without a loss and they managed to win all home games i think they will go far in this competition.

Galatasaray are not showing an adequate performance in the Turkish Super League. But they are much more different here in the EL. This makes me think like they are caring about the EL more than their domestic league now. And I'm not sure if this is the right choice for them. Because there is no guarantee that they would win the EL title and join the CL directly.

Even though Royal Antwerp managed to beat Olympiakos by a very small score, it still leaves them in the last place in Group D, we see Frankfurt and Olympiakos advance to the next round.

From the results of the last match, we can see several big clubs that did not qualify for the next round, namely PSV, Leicester City, Fenerbahce, Marseille and Celtic.

I blame Brendan Rodgers for this Leicester city Europa league Elimination. He started the tournament with attitude of  neglecting other teams using his team B boys to play and lost must of the game now he was trying to do magic and qualify, that sure how inferior coach he is, as a good manager you qualify before using your team B to play match, West ham United Manager, David Moyes should be an example to follow. Glad he’s failed in the Europa League as it proves he’s not up for managing a big club. This is why they didn't finish in Champions League place last season. They had in their hands. Now this season they can hardly put together any decent run of form.

I just found out that there's a new system from this season and that the 1st placed teams from the groups go directly into the 1/8 final. What kind of a bizarre draw is that?

The 2nd placed teams and the 3rd place teams from CL that are dropping down to EL are playing their own round of 16, with winners proceeding into the draw with the group winners.

I have to say that they keep surprising me year after year, this is pure idiotism.

All of the remaining matches in the EL have completed now. And I see that Galatasaray managed to keep their lead by the Lazio match also. They managed to keep the score at 0-0 somehow and secured their place. I couldn't watch the match but the statistics say that Lazio found more goal chances than them. But they were too bad at benefiting from those.
Lazio can't take the opportunity, likewise, Galatasaray. as we can see the offensive game is played at the beginning but be it Lazio or Galatasaray can't finish it.

Lyon, Monaco, Sparta Moskwa, Frankfurt, Galatasaray, Red Star, Leverkusen, and West Ham Has the ticket to go to the 2nd round. While the followed club; Rangers, Sociedad, Napoli, Olympiakos, Lazio, Braga, Betis, and Dinamo Zagreb will fight with the 3rd position club in the Champions League.

Yeah, the group stage is over now. And the nervous waiting has ended for me also. I enjoyed the Napoli vs Leicester game too much. We watched 5 goals in this big and important game. First we saw that Napoli scored two goals and captured a huge advantage. However, Leicester were still determined to stay in this game by scoring two goals and providing a balance to the game again. But they were devastated by Napoli's another goal and the defeat by 3-2. As Legia couldn't draw with Spartak Moscow also, Leicester are out now.

Who coud have thought that Spartak will finish 1st in the group. What a finish of game when Spartak goalkeeper saved penalty. Well, this season in Europe is very solid for them, despite unstable performance in local league. BTW, it's likely that Spartak coach Rui Vitoria will be sacked despite 1st place in group because of poor results in local league. It would be a bit strange.
While Napoli won against Leicester and foxes will have to play just in Conference league.
Crvena Zvezda survived game with Braga. Braga dominated game, but it ended 1:1 and both teams go to next round.
Congratulatios to Dinamo Zagreb fans. They won against West Ham youngsters and went to next round.
I'm surprised about big Real Sociedad win against PSV.  I didn't watched game, but from stats it looks that it wasn't that easy for Sociedad.
There wassome upsets in meaningless games which costs me money. Like Sturm draw with Monaco or Ferencvaros win against Bayer. Lesson for me not to bet on teams on last round when they already have guaranted 1st or 2nd place.

Probobly one of the worst weeks for betting on over goals. So little goals in the second part of europe games its just disappointing.
Crvena Zvezda bearly survived Braga and qualified as first in the group. Surprising win honestly from Ferencvaros didnt expect that at all
