Leicester really didn't care about the tournament too much. When they joined the Champions League, they showed a much greater performance and we watched them even advancing from the group stage as far as I remember. If Leicester cared about the Europa League also, they would have consolidated their place in the group already before the last week. They didn't do this and it cost them this.
In this season they are playing very bad in both Premier League and in Europa League, so they are paying for this their current position is 13th which is very low by their standard with set few years back. And now in this season they are facing some serious trouble in Europa League even their start was very good but later they completely down and now out so after this shocking result now they have time for improving form and trying again for next season which is very difficult for them with their current form because recently we have some very good teams fighting hard for having good in next season.

In last match they were very good against Napoli, but sadly this time luck was not with them so Napoli able to survive and having some better spot after winning match.

Leicester was in a very good position before the game and they had multiple chances to equalize and get them back in the game. It's just unfortunate that they couldn't find the net. I mean, Maddison hit the post towards the end of the match. If that had entered, maybe it would've been a different story today. Anyway, it was a well-matched game and one team had to go. Napoli showed their strength and took total control of the game.
Surprised to see Napoli did not sacrifice Europa League even they lost a first position in Serie A and have some star players missing because of injuries. Well done Napoli but I agree that Leicester City made a few chances in that match and lost in Naples. 3 - 2 for Napoli and they have a good match without their best players.

Look at the teams that are coming from champions league ; Barcelona, Leipzig, Porto, Dortmund, Atalanta, Sevilla, all these teams are at least one level better than the europa cup teams. West Ham could be the only one that can sustain if they do not draw a very great team, otherwise I feel like this is going to turn into UCL 2.0 and teams from UCL will end up winning the title without giving much chance to others.
I think Barcelona demoting to the Europa League we promote the league very well and makes it more competitive, people we like to watch teams in the Europa League especially the Barca fans.is not going to be easy because they are strong teams there too ( Napoli, Leicester city, and West ham United.)so interesting fixtures are still to come.

^ I do not think that West ham actually has that kind of problem right now. I believe that they could definitely solve their issues if they worked really hard on it. Sure they do not look like a dominating team but as we all know UK teams do well in European cups. I am guessing they will go to semi-finals unless they face a horribly challenging team. The next stage will be a bit tough for all the teams in the europa cup stage, even if they finished first.

The thing that has made me sad the most is witnessing Leicester's being eliminated from the UEFA Europa League. At least, they are going to continue their journey in the UEFA Europa Conference League but they deserved to continue here too. They fought back against Napoli really well in their last game but they couldn't prevent the 3-2 loss. And the result in the Legia - S. Moscow game was their end.

Galatasaray is not performing very well in the Turkish Super League, but is playing really well in the UEFA Europa League. They managed to come out of a very difficult group as the leader of the group. I think it was a very difficult thing, but they succeeded, many people were very surprised by this situation. I hope this performance continues and they can go all the way to the championship Smiley

Cim Bom Bom! Cheesy

Galatasaray is now in seventh position in the Super Lig. Their performance is very poor. Galatasaray's performance in Europa League matches from Super Lig is very good. Despite having strong teams like Marseille and Lazio in the group, Galatasaray has qualified for the round of 16 by becoming the group champions. Its players in Galatasaray have worked hard. I would be happy if Galatasaray is able to make it to the semi-finals.

Galatasaray is not in a good position in the league with a very new and young players, but we can say that it is early. UEFA Europa League got really good results and managed to get out of the groups. Last played Lazio match ended in a draw, both teams were not very good. If Galatasaray is a team that is more willing than the league in such tournaments, I would be very happy if I see the semi-finals.

I am afraid that with the series of games and pressure on them to perform and remain in that position fatigue and injuries will surely set in and they will have to concentrate and channel their energy to one of the competitions. If not they might lose out on both.
You just mirrored my thoughts and submissions. I knew too well from onset that Westham is really going to struggle.
I remember last season, as formidable as Guadiola and his boys were, they had to let go of some competitions.
Westham cannot be a strong contender in both Europa League and EPL. They have priotise one or, they should visit January market with good budget in order to re-enforce the team. The battle in Epl is severe and not a child's play.

Yeah, the group stage is over now. And the nervous waiting has ended for me also. I enjoyed the Napoli vs Leicester game too much. We watched 5 goals in this big and important game. First we saw that Napoli scored two goals and captured a huge advantage. However, Leicester were still determined to stay in this game by scoring two goals and providing a balance to the game again. But they were devastated by Napoli's another goal and the defeat by 3-2. As Legia couldn't draw with Spartak Moscow also, Leicester are out now.

Congratulations to the Moscow Spartak goalkeeper, who guessed the angle of the shot and saved the team from a draw, thereby taking it to the 1/8 finals. You should have seen the TickTock account of this team, there is such joy and pride that it's just ghastly, as if they were the kings of the world of everything, even a little disgusting for such....

Leicester couldn't benefit from their last opportunity to stay in the EL as they lost to Napoli by 3-2 in the away game. It was a very competitive game though and Napoli became victorious. Leicester gave a big hope to their fans after turning the game around and equalizing the score. But they still couldn't prevent Napoli from scoring the third goal and finishing the job. If Legia didn't miss the penalty in the last minute, we would have seen Leicester in the next round and S. Moscow out of this tournament.
Here's the reality. I knew Leicester City wouldn't last very long with the way they were conceding goals in this competition. Following a 3-2 defeat to Napoli, Leicester City are out of the Europa League. That's the place (Conference League) Leicester City belong. Poor Leicester City. The reason why teams drop from UCL to Europa and then to conference is not clear to me. Leicester didn't take the competition seriously!

Its not that they didnt care its just that this season they arent good as they were before. They are playing really bad in europe and in premier league and for them things need to change really fast. Also Napoli plays amazing in Italian league and struggled a lot in europe

Galatasaray are not showing an adequate performance in the Turkish Super League. But they are much more different here in the EL. This makes me think like they are caring about the EL more than their domestic league now. And I'm not sure if this is the right choice for them. Because there is no guarantee that they would win the EL title and join the CL directly.
but for them to be able to compete I think it will be a bit difficult.
how not, the big teams in UCL are now moving to UEL. Barcelona, Porto, Dortmund and even some dark horse teams like Leipzig and Atalanta are now moving here.
It will be very difficult I think for Galatasaray to be able to compete even though they are now strong and have definitely qualified for the next stage

Amongst the clubs you have mentioned,I think they are likely to win the Europa league competition.
At most Barcelona will sure win this one, I'm placing my bets on them to grab this.
Barcelona will be one of the sticking teams now Cheesy
They already have a loss of around 20 million euros for not qualifying for the next stage in the UCL and of course this will definitely worsen their finances.
They need a little injection of additional funds and this championship title is one of the most likely to be made a priority because with them winning the UEL at least they can cover their losses

Right now predicting about UEFA Europa League winner is not possible because it's going to be very tough for all teams specially team like Barcelona which is fighting hard for having top rank in La Liga with struggling team and Napoli is also now slipping in Italian League which is really matter of worry about them as they were leading for last 15 weeks and now slip to third spot. Dortmund is good side, and they can give tough fight to opponents and Porto Atlanta and Leipzig is also having some good squads for fighting here in this league.

From England West Ham is having very good time in English Premier League and here in Europa League as they ended as leaders in table so many teams fighting for just one cup is very interesting.

When I look at the results of Group C, I understand that this is very close to the truth: Spartak (which is in 9th place in the weak Russian championship) takes first place overtaking Napoli and Leicester  Grin
If so you are certainly missing something in group A where Lyon are unbeaten in 6 group match despite only being 13th in the Ligue 1 standings. LOL

As for the motivation to win the tournament, some clubs will have it, and some will not. For example, I'm sure Barcelona will be more worried about getting into the top 4 in La Liga than winning the Europa League.
I know maybe the problem is different for each team and the wishes of their coach. Barcelona, who failed to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League, must certainly focus on improving the team's performance regardless of how they want to win the title this season. In Laliga they certainly still have that opportunity and they can do that in the Europa League too. These two titles are important considering Xavi wants to bring his team to the title in his first season. LaLiga is more important, I agree with you.

With what is shown by Barcelona so far in all competition, how can you be so sure Barcelona will win?
There are many other better team than Barcelona in the Europa League this season.
I do not mean to underestimate Barcelona, but the fact says that they are not even close to win any title this year.

I wasn't surprised about the Napoli Vs Leicester result. Napoli is currently a great team, they have a strong squad. While Leicester performance this season have been quite poor both in the Premier League and Europe League. Although, Leicester really tried their best in the match, they struggled to end the first half with 2-2 draw. And I literally thought they will probably score more goals in the second half, but unfortunately Leicester couldn't score. Nevertheless, Elmas secured his second goal, which led to Napoli winning the game.

I'm really surprised by Galatasaray's performance in the group stage. As their opponents were quite tough considering the quality of this tournament, I thought like that they would barely take the second place or move down to the Europa Conference League. But it turns out that they ended their group as its leader. They claimed an important one point against Lazio the last time and secured the place. I wonder how far they will be able to go forward in this tournament.
Me too i was surprised to see their performance in europa league especially after the confusing performance in the turkish league they ended the group stage without a loss and they managed to win all home games i think they will go far in this competition.
