Yes Manchester united are the favorite, but i think Arsenal, Roma and Ajax have also a good chance to win.

The current betting odds:

Seen nobody has Prague and Dinamo on their list  Huh

The odds of 28 on Granade are way too high. They are playing really well and the Spanish league is not at all as weak this year as it was last year. Note that Manchester is a 2.8 favorite which is weak and unrealistic. This team is too unstable.

I agree that Manchester United and Ajax have good chances of winning, Roma and Arsenal, they are weaker and I'm even a little surprised that Arsenal has a lower odds than Ajax. I would be interested to watch the final of Manchester United - Ajax. But Manchester United looks like the strongest of the above teams.

That would be a good final with big names, I would be happy. But there is still a long way to go and the quarter-final opponents have to be eliminated. Is the final even possible Ajax against Manchester United?

Waiting for April 9, four matches will take place together.
Arsenal vs Slavia Prague
Granada vs Man United
Ajax  vs  Roma
Dinamo Zagrep vs Villareal

Perhaps the most interesting is Roma vs Ajax.  Arsenal, Man United and Villareal will be the seeds here. I think the three of them are superior in terms of players, and maybe they will qualify for the next phase. For Roma and Ajax, this match is difficult to predict, the win in the first leg of this match is very useful for the second leg.

Ajax vs Roma will be a very tough one. But it feels like Roma will get an advantageous result away in the first leg.

Slavia and Granada eliminated much tougher opponents than them in the last round. Therefore, Arsenal and Manchester Utd should be very careful against them and shouldn't underestimate them.

The same thing is valid for Villarreal also as their opponent managed to eliminate one of the favorites in the tournament in the last round, Tottenham.

Are you pretty sure Arsenal and Villarreal will win easily?
No, I'm not too sure about Arsenal. They are not as good as I thought this season. But I don't think Slavia Prague will be a tough enough opponent for Arsenal mentally and in the composition of the team even though statistically Slavia Prague are better in the domestic league. Slavia are the leaders in the top Czech league, but it will be quite difficult in my opinion against Arsenal. My Plan B is a draw.

I agree with you to say that anything is still possible because football is a team game that can't be accurately predicted. Everyone still has a chance, but only a win will take them to the next stage.

It is not certain that the seeds team will win easily against its opponent, but it is true that the odds are much greater when the comparison is the quality of the players. Manchester United, Villareal and Arsenal are predicted to win in the first leg but if their opponent play badly enough. It seem that Ajax vs Roma will be a tough match for both of them. But I think Roma will qualify this time.
Are you pretty sure Arsenal and Villarreal will win easily?
Look at their opponents, the big name teams here are not a benchmark and you can see from the previous results that Zagreb got a comeback from Tottenham. Wow, Arsenal and Tottenham who are better in the EPL?
The match is still uncertain as even these are the best teams full of surprises including Granada. So. anyone still has a chance to win and I'm really not sure the big names you guys mention will win easily here, they still need a big effort to win.

It's always very difficult to assess the balance of power in the final laps. The teams are not in the quarter-finals just because of luck, they have already shown performance. It will certainly depend on the form of the day in the next two games.
Also Ajax and Roma will play each other, and only one team will be left. Villareal will be playing Zagreb and both of those teams do not look like they will be capable of winning the title if you ask me, only team left is Arsenal and we all know they are not that great this year if you look at premier league, even if they came this far, it still means they may not end up winning. Long story short I believe it's quite possible that we may end up with United at the finals against a weaker team.

I am not saying they are guaranteed, but Ajax and Roma could have faced Zagreb and Villareal each and that would have been harder for United, this way they are already eliminated each other, which is why Uniteds job became easier if you ask me. That's why I think it's quite clear that if we do see United winning it this year it will not be a shock to anyone.

It wouldn't be a shock for people seeing Manchester Utd winning the title of course as they are one of the biggest favourites in the tournament.

I have also a feeling like we could see a final game between Arsenal and Manchester Utd. It would be very delightful to watch certainly.  Grin

@ILuckyGuyI I don’t know how serious are Manchester United about winning this league, because they have almost secured their champions league spot, and hence I worry that they won’t be motivated enough to win it. Also Arsenal form is patchy this season hence I don’t expect them to make it to the finals.

I’ll also agree that Manchester United have got a dream draw in the place of Granada, but I hope that they won’t slip and allow Granada to take advantage because their champions league spot is almost secured, hence I’m not sure if they’ll play with full power in Europa matches. Furthermore I’m favouring Ajax to win the trophy if Manchester United gets eliminated at some stage, because this club deserves a trophy for all it’s recent success on the pitch.

I think Manchester United have the toughest draw of all teams; because they simply are facing a Granada team reaching the quarters for the first time in their entire history, they will be extra motivated to make a statement; the question now is that, Can Manchester United put them where they belong like they dealt with Sociedad? I suppose so

I am not sure about the "toughest" as there is a draw between Ajax and Roma also. And it is like an early final game in this tournament. Anyway, as I said before Manchester Utd are the favourite of course but I think Granada will put up a much better fight against Manchester Utd compared to Real Sociedad.

Ajax plays in Europe most times their best soccer. The reaxhed the finals few years ago , got to the semi finals in the CL. So the match against AS Roma would be interesting. Lets hope we get to attractive matches.

For Ajax is Roma a very difficult thing to do, but in the quarter-finals it is just that there are no easy opponents. But I think that Ajax can beat Roma if they get a good result in the first game.

Maybe they won't get eliminated by Granada but after that they may be out of the tournament depending on the opponent.
I am championing Manchester United this year. They've eliminated AC Milan which I think is a strong team. Their first leg will be played in Spain. It should be with the quality of players that Manchester United, winning is absolute even though the draw is quite favorable for Manchester United. This is Granada's first season in the Europa League, although he does not have the experience they have good statistics. Manchester United must be careful, Granada has high spirits because they appear at home.

It's true that only Manchester United have managed to score a goal from all the British teams, Manchester United deserved to win and qualify for
the next round. Unfortunately Ibrahimovic has just recovered from injury, so he cannot play from the start of the match and can only enter in
the middle of the second half. Regarding the Arsenal match, it was very clear that they were more focused on defending and trying not to concede
2 goals, boring match from Arsenal. Very different from Arsenal's game when they beat Tottenham in the Premier League.
Every team has successful and unsuccessful matches, but as they say, just for a beautiful game, victory is not given and the score on the scoreboard is the most important thing that happens in football. Ibrahimovic said after the match that he was disappointed with the outcome of the game, but urged to think about the next match. I was disappointed with Tottenham, who did not play with due responsibility and left the Europa League.

I really agree that the most important thing in a football match is to score goals, even though playing well but not scoring goals will not be useful.
Ibrahimovic must be very disappointed with AC Milan's elimination from the Europa League, because he hopes that AC Milan will win the Europa League.
Now AC Milan can focus on catching Inter in Serie A, but the difference in points between Inter and AC Milan is quite far and this is not an easy task
for AC Milan. Regarding Tottenham's exit from the Europa League, there are so many who are disappointed not only you. This is a lesson for Mourinho
to never underestimate your opponent, even though Spurs won in the first leg. Finally, Tottenham was humiliated by Dinamo Zagreb.

Dinamo has been playing consistently well in European competitions in the last few years and just because of a lack of luck they did not pass the group stage of the Champions League last year or Benfica 2 years ago in the European League.
Therefore, this great victory against Tottenham is not the result of some luck but the quality and experience of Dinamo from the last few seasons in Europe.
I'm convinced that the match between Villarreal and Dinamo is completely open and that both clubs have a chance to win and advance to the competition.
Villarreal are not playing well in the Spanish championship and have weaknesses that Dinamo can take advantage of.
I think if a team can beat Tottenham that means they could beat Villareal as well, I believe that Zagreb has at least one more round they could win and go to next stage. As it is football and anything could happen but a team that beat Spurs 3-0 could very well beat villareal in both of those games as well, if you look at the roster differences and even financial differences between these three teams you will see that Tottenham had a lot more than other two teams.

However I think Zagreb had some luck too, saying that they were around in european cups for a while and gained experience is not enough, this is Tottenham we are talking about here, they probably have like 10x more valuable players when you look at totals, they could even get out a starting 11 that equals zagrebs from their bench, so even if you gain experience, that's not enough to close the difference, you need a bit of luck as well.

Man United can be happy about draw, Granada is probably opponent that everyone wanted to get.
Can Slavia kick out Arsenal? I think it's pair where we can search for upset. As I said many times already, Slavia is one of the underrated teams, but they play great football. While, Arsenal is Arsenal, you never can trust them Cheesy.
Ajax - Roma, most interesting pair, it's difficult to predict something there.
Dinamo - Villarreal. Yellow submarines is obvious favorites, but I wouldn't write-off Dinamo completely.
Underrated Slavia is solely due to the league they are coming from that is Czech Republic but then, they are champions there and with the level of bad play with EPL teams, I won't be so care free when playing against a contender like Slavia.

On the Ajax and AS Roma game, I can easily base my predictions in favour of Ajax. These guys are often about business when it comes to there games, they do there best upto the final whistle unlike the AS Roma team. I like the Italian side very much but, they could be unserious at times.

Manchester United surprised me to have won AC Milan yesterday. It was a thing of pride for Paul Pogba, to have scored the only winning goal.

It is very clear that Manchester Utd have guaranteed qualifying for the Champions League. I'm also not sure about a team like Manchester Utd would make a great effort for the Europa League title in such situation. Maybe they won't get eliminated by Granada but after that they may be out of the tournament depending on the opponent.
