I'm convinced that the match between Villarreal and Dinamo is completely open and that both clubs have a chance to win and advance to the competition.
Villarreal are not playing well in the Spanish championship and have weaknesses that Dinamo can take advantage of.

Underrated Slavia is solely due to the league they are coming from that is Czech Republic but then, they are champions there and with the level of bad play with EPL teams, I won't be so care free when playing against a contender like Slavia.

On the Ajax and AS Roma game, I can easily base my predictions in favour of Ajax. These guys are often about business when it comes to there games, they do there best upto the final whistle unlike the AS Roma team. I like the Italian side very much but, they could be unserious at times.

Manchester United surprised me to have won AC Milan yesterday. It was a thing of pride for Paul Pogba, to have scored the only winning goal.

Ajax plays in Europe most times their best soccer. The reaxhed the finals few years ago , got to the semi finals in the CL. So the match against AS Roma would be interesting. Lets hope we get to attractive matches.

I’ll also agree that Manchester United have got a dream draw in the place of Granada, but I hope that they won’t slip and allow Granada to take advantage because their champions league spot is almost secured, hence I’m not sure if they’ll play with full power in Europa matches. Furthermore I’m favouring Ajax to win the trophy if Manchester United gets eliminated at some stage, because this club deserves a trophy for all it’s recent success on the pitch.

I absolutely agree that there was no such situation. Dinamo Zagreb played with all they had really and it helped them to make an incredible comeback against Tottenham. I assume Tottenham weren't expecting an effort like this from them and they already finished the draw on their mind before this game. But things were the opposite of their expectation and D. Zagreb really deserved to advance to the quarter final.

I totally agree with you. But I have to say luck was on their side, but Dinamo Zagreb played well enough. At least they have played much better than Tottenham, so have been able to score 3 goals. It is not possible to win a match 3-0 depending on luck alone. They played well and they deserved the win.

I think it was combination of "luck" and also strategy and tottenham not playing well at all. Sure Dinamo won that game fair and square and if they play like that they would definitely beat Spurs 9 out of 10 times and I do not know if it would be 3-0 but it would be win for them, so that is the part that they get for their great play.

However, I think it is also clearly important to realize that we are not in a world where luck is nothing in football, luck plays a role, not just goals scored but even the positions, and 50-50 situations going in your favor. So I get why people want to talk about luck here. However if you ask me I think the biggest role that game was how terrible Spurs played, if you ask me Spurs lost that game and not Dinamo won it, because Spurs could have played a lot better, we know they are capable of beating them very easily, but they played terrible.

Well, most teams will be favorites against this Dinamo team - Villarreal as well. But it wasn't luck that got them through against Tottenham - it was playing as a unit and playing to their strengths. Even Mourinho admitted it - Dinamo fully deserved the win.

Dinamo will feel confident enough, Villarreal is not Man United or Roma. They are beatable for sure.

After a very long time, Dinamo looks like a competitive and serious team in European competitions.
2 years ago, they lost and dropped out of Benfica only in overtime (after the previous victory in Zagreb), and last year they were only seconds away from passing the group stage of the Champions League.
That is why this victory against Tottenham is not such a big surprise but a continuation of very good games from Dinamo in Europe in the last few years.

I totally agree with you. But I have to say luck was on their side, but Dinamo Zagreb played well enough. At least they have played much better than Tottenham, so have been able to score 3 goals. It is not possible to win a match 3-0 depending on luck alone. They played well and they deserved the win.

Manchester United can eliminate Granada, this is one of regular clubs in Spain. It's not as hard as Sevilla or Valencia. Manchester United is waaaaay better than Granada. Easy semi final for English clubs.

You are right, EPL teams will play against relatively easy opponents. Slavia Praha and Granada are not strong opponents. Arsenal and Manchester United will win easily. But the other two matches, Axax vs Roma is a very strong team. It will be a very exciting and competitive match. Dinamo Zagreb and Villareal are two teams of almost the same quality. This match will also be very exciting.

I also think that some English club will win the Europa League. Still, it turned out that it was an average club and a very strong one. The British clubs have a better chance to win because they have a stronger championship and more intensity in the game. Although, as we saw Dinamo Zagreb did not prevent the great intensity of Tottenham to win it. They are far behind and I am not sure that they will pass Villarreal. However, anything can happen.

I agree that English clubs are the favorites in this competition but surprises are always possible, as Dinamo has shown.
I see that almost all participants in this debate think that Dinamo has no chance against Villarreal.
Don't forget that Tottenham was a bigger favorite against Dinamo and that Tottenham is a better club than Villarreal but had no chance against Dinamo.
Much weaker Dinamo has already beaten Villarreal 9 years ago in this competition so in this match everything is open and possible.

Anything is possible in football. If Dynamo Zagreb will beat Villarreal i won't be surprised. Cause, Villarreal is not that much good team. They are an average-level team. Nothing special. But it seem that Villarreal is a bit stronger than Dynamo. However, since Dynamo came to this round after beating Tottenham, we can understand that Dynamo has the ability to beat Villarreal.
