Mortal kombat? "Rangers" clear the way (cod mw2). What the hell is this move doing in soccer Undecided

Good fixtures imo for the Quarter final, ManU - Grenada and Ajax - Roma seems a little more interesting.
ManU, Roma, Arsenal, Villarreal to pass for the next round maybe?

And two English clubs, which for sure should have won, left the championship!
Tottenham and the other team is Leicester? Spurs messed up big time for sure but the Foxes doesn't have what it takes yet to go deeper in European competitions. They went out in R32.
No he is not talking about the foxes of Leicester, they've already been defeated at the round of 32 by Slavia Praha. He's talking about the Glasgow Rangers also defeated by the SK Slavia Praha, 0-2 (1-3 aggregate) yesterday.

I hope that the Red Devils will not suffer the same fate!
It's almost certain that they have qualified for next season's Champions League so they may as well focus more in this tournament.

It looks to me that Arsenal had the better draw for the QF and SF.

-snip-

1. Granada CF - Manchester United
2. Arsenal FC - SK Slavia Praha
3. AFC Ajax - AS Roma
4. GNK Dinamo - Villareal CF

The winner of the quarter-final 1 will face the winner of the quarter final 3 and the winner of the quarter final 4 will play against the winner of the quarter final 2.

well, a big match for ajax and roma.
I hope united can win at least 1 title this year, and hopefully in this competition.
so, if they win against granada, their next opponent will be ajax/roma.
united has good stats against ajax/roma.
I wish they can reach the final stage, and all-england in the final against Arsenal.

Milan-Manchester Utd was the toughest draw of 1/8-finals and Manchester Utd managed to be victorious with a 1-0 score and have advanced to the quarter finals. But the match was a very competitive one though. Ibrahimovic bounced back three days ago finally after having tear in the abductor muscle for 16 days. And I would expect him to enter the game earlier than the 65th minute. Maybe things could have been different than this then, who knows. And it was really awesome to see Pogba scored the goal that has brought the quarter finals to his team right after 3 minutes he entered the game. It was really dramatic too that he scored a goal in an important game after getting injured and not being able to play for 10 matches.

And I'd like to share my predictions for the quarter finals draws:

Ajax - Slavia Prague
Manchester Utd - Villarreal
Arsenal - Granada
Roma - D. Zagreb

I'd also like to add that I was really shocked by Tottenham getting eliminated by D. Zagreb. I expected them to fight for the title as they are having a bad season in the EPL.
Hey it seems you are not a very "lucky guy" ILuckyGuyI actually , because you're wrong again in your predictions  Grin

1. Granada CF - Manchester United
2. Arsenal FC - SK Slavia Praha
3. AFC Ajax - AS Roma
4. GNK Dinamo - Villareal CF

The winner of the quarter-final 1 will face the winner of the quarter final 3 and the winner of the quarter final 4 will play against the winner of the quarter final 2.

Dinamo was the biggest surprise of the day, Prague also surprised me a bit, but the Rangers with the red cards took themselves out of the game. I'm happy for Manchester, I wouldn't have expected after the weak first game. Now I'm looking forward to the draw.

Results from yesterday.

Yesterday games I think have upset so many sport bettors as most of the games did not go as expected with many big teams losing to small ones. The lesson to learn at least for me in such case is to play carefully the weekend games and forget about yesterday.

Of all the matches that have already played for me, the most unexpected result was Dynamo Zargeb - Tottenham. I could not even imagine that they could play like that. And all the rest were quite expected results. It would have been interesting to watch them in the future.

Believe me, but we (Croatians) were also not expecting this. But Dinamo has had sparks of success like this that lead to nowhere in the end. Too much turbulence in the club itself, constant leadership and coaching changes, and a constant player fluctuation may take its toll for Dinamo to be consistent on this.

Yesterday I bet on 6 matches and guessed only 3 of them...
I was very surprised by the English clubs! Especially the Spurs game... I was sure they would win!
So once again I see that England has an interesting league, but their clubs are terrible in other leagues...
This is not the point. it's just that there should always be a place for sensations in football, otherwise it will become predictable and uninteresting. So it does not depend on the league or tournament.

Congratulations Croations. My team crashed out of Europa League which Mourinho thought he could win for us. I knew it was over the way we played even when the whistle blew for extra time already. You guys also played not bad in the first leg to be honest.

Hattrick hero will not be allowed to sleep. Please go on and win this okay?

Even if Ryan Jack is out, still 2.29 - 2.38 is big enough and TBH it's very tempting. I will seriously consider including it in my parlay for today's matches... Tongue
That was a trap Grin It was really tempting but I'm glad I stuck with my bet on Man U (single) instead of a parlay.

Mourinho might likely face a sack with the poor results and the chances of Tottenham reaching EPL top 4 getting out of his reach
It would be reckless for Tottenham board to do that now. There are only a few games left and changes like that would make the team more unstable than it already is. They might as well grind this one out until the end of the season and prepare for the transfer window to rebuild/recalibrate the squad for next season.

It's true that only Manchester United have managed to score a goal from all the British teams, Manchester United deserved to win and qualify for
the next round. Unfortunately Ibrahimovic has just recovered from injury, so he cannot play from the start of the match and can only enter in
the middle of the second half. Regarding the Arsenal match, it was very clear that they were more focused on defending and trying not to concede
2 goals, boring match from Arsenal. Very different from Arsenal's game when they beat Tottenham in the Premier League.
Every team has successful and unsuccessful matches, but as they say, just for a beautiful game, victory is not given and the score on the scoreboard is the most important thing that happens in football. Ibrahimovic said after the match that he was disappointed with the outcome of the game, but urged to think about the next match. I was disappointed with Tottenham, who did not play with due responsibility and left the Europa League.
No I don't think the score on the scoreboard is the most important thing that happens in football as you say, because if Arsenal is only able to prevent its opponent with one red card from scoring 2 goals to qualify them it means they won't be good enough to beat the other teams. Tomorrow we will know its next opponent, I hope they will meet a strong team in quater-finals like Ajax, AS Roma or Manchester United.

Tottenham performance was woeful today even Mourinho admitted that his players '  players failed at the basics of life' indeed a disgraceful defeat having a two goals advantage or lead against Dynamo Zagreb should have been well defended however they squandered their chances of qualifying for the next round of the competition.

it's not a footballer but some kind karate fan. he could kill Slavia's goalkeeper. if he wants to fight MMA waits for him )
I didn't know there was an incident like that at the Rangers - Slavia Prague match, it's regrettable that an incident like this happened in a prestigious European competition.
By the way, from the overall result of the match I think only Tottenham have had bad luck or maybe underestimated their opponents because they were 2-0 on aggregate. Lol!
Anyway, congratulations to Zagreb on making a comeback and of course this is a surprising result, because I personally initially thought that in this round it looked like there would be no team that would make a comeback, but I was wrong.

Manchester United has been the only british team able to score at least one goal this evening, all other british teams(Totthenham, Glasgow, Arsenal) have left clean sheets to their opponents. Arsenal is qualified but doesn't deserve to be, they've done nothing tonight, they've just tried to not concede 2 goals, that's a disgrace for them.

*Man U win, but no more goals were created 'lol'...
I thought it was really a great match, 2 big teams with the same strength and cohesiveness competed but Man U was more fortunate, Pogba was the 'man of the match'.

It was a good game to be frank and i have to admit that i feel the Lindelof was solid from first minute to the end and should get the Mman of the match plaudits. Fred impact was great too, as him winning the ball back created the goal for MUFC. A good performance from the team; and now they can look forward to the next round.

AC Milan (1) 0 - 1 (1) Manchester United

Tottenham hotspur are out, after MOU Boys bottled a 2 goal lead, what next now for Jose? Arsenal meanwhile are through despite the defeat tonight

GK seems to be ok, but the aftermath pics are very NSFW, poor guy has two really massive cuts on his forehead and cheekbone, looks like he was in a knife fight lol
I wwtched game and it was really brutal and painful foul. Here is NSFW photo how goalkeeper looked after it. Still, I think he is lucky, it could have ended much worse. Fortunately, his eyes weren't hit.
