Well the biggest surprise seem to have happened in Europa League as a team with not much history in European competitions just knocked out Barcelona yesterday night and they were even leading 0-3 in Camp Nou,something quite strange for many years in European competitions for Barcelona.I am sorry for Barcelona as it appeared they were in a good run after being managed by Xavi but big congratulations to Eintracht Frankfurt to a well deserved qualification in the next stage of Europa League.
Also I am surprised by Atalanta but not at the same margin as with Barcelona as they also lost at home against another German team of course much better in quality than Frankfurt.

Eintracht Frankfurt now in the semifinals of the Europa League and Kostic is the man of the match for me. he game will be talked about again and again in the coming years. The first game in the semifinals is already this month, on 28 April and the second match on 05 May. And it looks like there could be a German final. Leipzig against Frankfurt in Sevilla.

So the goals came indeed, 5 goal epic, and if only the first one we scored counted. Out of the competition, nothing left to play for, I hope we just use this opportunity to see out the season with pride.
Well, it's hard to doubt the quality of Barcelona at the moment especially Frankfurt nor are they a very superior team on the pitch. Frankfurt can't always be as consistent as the first leg and they might be easier to beat in the second leg today considering the match was played at Camp Nou. Barcelona may be able to qualify for the next round, but it might not be easy if Frankfurt really knows how to stop them.
Unfortunately the problems they encountered in the first leg wasn't just a blip, it was a fact. Germans play fast and direct football, physical and vertical, and Barca don't have anything like that in La Liga, and not enough experienced players to deal with it.
I'm really sad today, but not too broken. This wasn't supposed to be a season to win anything. Good luck Frankfurt.
In general I think a lot of people will bet on Barcelona qualifying for the next round. This is because Barcelona's first leg was able to make one goal. With a draw, they will qualify.

I don't know what Barcelona were thinking, but not scoring a single goal in the whole game and then scoring two goals in the final minutes is very funny. Glasgow Rangers put on a show too, but they were lucky Braga earned a red card in the first half.
The most efficient way of utilizing opportunities in the 90 minutes was to not score a single goal in the 90 minutes and then score two goals in the final minutes. In a shock defeat at home, Barcelona, who were favored to win the Europa League Title, tumbled to a disappointing finish. Not only are they losing, but they did it in complete disgrace. So in case Barcelona were able to equalize and finish the game with 2-2, the game will continue to Extra Time. Today's match shows that Barcelona were very weak in defense as well as in scoring goals. They played so bad in the first half and Frankfurt were obviously better. Barcelona 1st goal was a bit late, maybe they may do come back if they could score at least 1 goal earlier. There was like a big hole in the defense of Barcelona, perhaps because of the missing Pique as central defender. Barcelona's defense is weak from the previous season. But with Xavi improving his midfield and forwards, Barcelona's weak defense has not been very visible. Several key players from Barcelona were absent in today's match. This is the misfortune of Barcelona. Of course, we can't blame Xavi for that. He has improved the team considerably. Moreover, Barcelona's performance was not bad. Aubameyang missed two easy chances.

Maybe it was because of their not caring about the Europa League too much I don't know. But I certainly believe that Frankfurt deserved this victory fully. Barcelona were nearly turning the game around in the last minutes but they couldn't.
The second leg was remarkably similar to the previous meeting, as Barcelona had more of the ball yet Frankfurt had the better chances and more shot attempts. I am not shocked. Frankfurt have the type of football that gives ball possession teams problems, Barcelona got away with it in the first leg. They were very precise and direct with their plan. Barcelona never sow this coming. You don't underrate any team at this stage of such competition. Barcelona was poor even after the second goal against them. They started getting serious after the third goal but by then it was already too late. They did the same thing against Levante and almost drew the match.

I think now people can see what Barcelona has and what are their strengths and weaknesses. I think everyone can understand that Barcelona is good on the attack but not so good in defense. I suspected that Barcelona is going to do something like they did in the previous match and might concede penalties. And that is exactly what happened. My suspicion became reality when they did concede the penalty and that is the reason why they lost the match in my opinion.

we have never seen Barcelona's form in recent weeks be so poor than in the match against Frankfurt entra where they were humiliated by the German side at Camp Nou, where two goals from Filip Kostic and a goal by Rafael Borre completed the suffering experienced by Barcelona even though they tried to get back in the game and was able to get back two goals through Sergio Busquets and a Memphis Depay penalty could not save Barcelona from defeat until the match ended.congratulations to Frankfurt Entra who managed to get tickets to the semifinals with such a great game

I did say this earlier. Barcelona did not seem to defend well in the 6-yard box. And that has certainly cost them this match in my opinion. Only if they did not concede the penalty. I expected Barcelona to learn from their mistakes and get better but they seemed to make the same mistake that they did in the previous match before the match against Frankfurt.
