Here it finally is! Dan Hardy's breakdown of Khabib vs Ferguson. Am I the only person here who thinks this bout is more exciting than Woodley vs Thompson? Anyway I'm betting for Ferguson here. He's such a multidimensional fighter compared to a one trick pony like Khabib. I can see Ferguson frustrate his opponent until Khabib goes apeshit giving him opportunities to either KO or submit him.

After seeing the break down it look like Woodley won the first fight and he was robbed by giving it a draw and once again i watched the entire match and it was really a win for Woodley and the two rounds that Thompson could have won was a close round so i am going with Woodley to win the match as the champ is the underdog once again.

Here's a preview of what Khabib can do on the ground. But the thing is, his opponent Tony Ferguson, has one of the best takedown defenses in the UFC and is certainly more durable than almost any fighter in the UFC LW Division. Stylistically this match up is good for both fighters and it's actually closer to 50/50 imho. There's som value in the underdog Ferguson at 2.70 to win.
The feature of the bout will be,Tony Ferguson is unpredictable and Khabib Nurmagomedov is a predictable fighter as we all know what he is going to do.He will try to take Tony down and finish the match on the ground while Tony is really unorthodox with his striking and always innovative and so it is a real close match up and let the best guy win but the odds of Ferguson is attractive and i would wage for Ferguson to win the match just because of the high odds.

Wonderboy will open himself up for Tyron's counter attacks if he does what he says in the fight. Wonderboy promised he will let his kicks and punches fly and I hope he really will do it. That is what Tyron wants so he can find opportunities to close the distance. His explosiveness will catch his opponent open to a knockout. Be sure to wait for it in the fight.

That's a good thing. I hope more people will bet on the 'fan favorite' Wonderboy Thompson so that the lines move giving Woodley more value. I have already made a bet on him at 2.09 and I will bet more if I see his line move higher. Thompson choked in the first fight, this time he's saying he'll let go and strike away. That will open him up for mistakes that Woodley can exploit.
Tyron woodley is not getting the respect as a champion and so is the reason he is frustrated and he might take that out against Wonderboy in this match and i have not seen any champion being an underdog, no wonder he is complaining .What i understand is that no one appreciates Tyron is simply because he fought for the title after coming off a split decision victory over Kelvin Gastelum and for over a year he did not fight and got the opportunity to fight for the title while Demian Maia and Thomson were riding more win streaks and deserved the title shot than Woodley at that time. Nah. I think he's just trying to get attention in order to draw a large crowd and sell the fight. I think he's also trying to be something like Muhammad Ali by going the racial prejudice route, hoping to get our heads turned and get our attention. This is not the day and age to do that anymore because the social and political issues are different compared to Ali's time.

I read some of the transcript and kinda funny how Tyron Woodley would play the
"race" card on the table. We all know that D. Johnson has clean up his division
so its hard to promote him no one in his division has match up to him so seldom
that he gets fight, but if he did he was promoted same as other champion.
Jon Jones has its own problem as well, and we see how UFC have promoted him
as well during this championship days. There are a lot of black champions before
him and no one is complaining. The issue with him is his attitude. To quote Dana,
“The thing is with Tyron, he’s a smart guy, he’s a good looking kid, he’s explosive, he’s got knockout power but he’s a bit of a drama queen,” White said when speaking with ESPN recently. “The way that he’s talking about [being] treated, too and I think he means the fans, when a fight is made and Conor McGregor is a perfect example. Conor McGregor has that fight anybody, anywhere attitude but doesn’t just have the attitude, he lives it. I’ve stood in front of him [on] 10 days notice and his opponent falls out and he doesn’t care. He doesn’t care. Bring them all in, I’m better than everybody, I’m the man, I’m the guy.
“If Tyron Woodley had that attitude, Tyron Woodley would be a massive star. But he does these things where he’ll say on Instagram where [the fans] know who’s next, who’s supposed to fight next, and he’ll go on social media and go ‘I’m not fighting him, I don’t want to fight him, I think I want to fight this guy’ and that’s not what people want to hear. Here's something to get you guys more excited about 209. Tony Ferguson seems hellbent on beating Khabib Nurmagomedov and will do anything to get in his opponent's head. It is really hard to imagine a ghetto style from him and i really do not think Woodley will be changing his personality .The just has to focus on his fighting and start defeating his challenges. Looking back at history Fedor Emelianenko never talked a lot but he proved his skills inside the ring by defeating everyone and so is the reason he got a fan following and was considered the best fighter ever.So i agree with the fact that Woodley has to focus on fighting rather than complaining but UFC has to give him due respect .Hope they reschedule Matt Mitrione vs Fedor Emelianenko soon!
