Bisping did very well when he fought Chael Sonnen on late notice. Some thought Bisping won the fight.

Bisping may have come back from his injuries too soon when he fought Tim Kennedy.

Bisping hasn't fought a top wrestler in a long time which makes it hard to say how well he'll do against GSP.

GSP didn't do the best against Johny Hendricks in his last fight, either.

Michael Bisping only got lucky versus Luke Rockhold when he won the title. The fight before that versus Anderson was close and some say that Anderson won that fight. Then the fight after was versus Dan Henderson, another fight that made Michael look bad.

@LFC_Bitcoin. GSP is better than Michael but the problem is he came out of retirement and his last fight was a long time ago. He is also in a new weight division.

Bisping is getting old, it might not be an easy in for him as people are expecting. Every fighter has a puncher's chance right. I don't rate Bisping any way.

Yeah, the thing is Bisping vs GSP is kind of a joke to me.  If they really intended to create a money fight, why not do one without getting any championship belt involved.  Instead of Bisping, get Anderson Silva to fight GSP.  It's the fight that long time fans of MMA has been waiting for right?
The real money fight is when there is a title involved and so is the reason GSP targeted Bisping ,because the champion earns more money than the rest of the fighters and since he was not active for a long time he needs to win the belt to get back to those level.Anderson Silva vs GSP is the fight i am looking for and i hope that UFC will make that fight for the fans.

Not necessarily.  A money fight doesn't have to be a championship fight.  Having two big names in the sport, that has enough drawing power and the ability to make huge money in tickets and PPV subscriptions is exactly what a money fight is.  Sometimes it's even viewed like a circus show.

I think it's more of a 'McGregor Effect' at play here.  Both the UFC and the fighters now realize that they need to make the fights more interesting by organizing the match ups the people want to see AND turn it into a no holds barred trash talking match before even the real fight begins.  It's what sells.  But so far I haven't seen anybody do it better than king McGregor himself.  I hope he comes back soon.
It is true that Mcgregor has changed the fight industry and now everyone is vocal in the UFC and everyone wants super fights and with WME purchasing UFC it has turned into a spectacle rather than a sporting event as the most deserving fighters are not getting their title shot while some are getting pushed more than others but they are making a lot of money .Mcgregor is fighting Mayweather and if Mayweather delays the fight he might return to have a fight before going back to boxing. Well i've been waiting to see GSP in action again though i'm not really sure about him winning. I think Bisping is a bit too big and i'm not sure if GSP would be the same as before. The last fight for Saint Pierre didn't actually go out that well even if he won. I'm just excited to see him back in the octagon
Bisping really has a weakness in the ground game and i am sure GSP's game plan will be to take him down and wear him down. One of the main reason GSP left the company was because of the lack of testing and he was an advocate to implement Olympic style drug testing policy with UFC and when his demands were not heard and he is having a hard time fighting juiced up fighters he simply quit and now he is making his return because things have changed.

This is GSP's come back game and he picks the Bisping for a reason. Bisping is the weakest amongst champion and GSP has a solid chance to dethrone Bisping in his comeback. Bisping has a good take down defense, but I think GSP will not have a problem with this, and will take him down easily. And I agree with the strategy that you said, and it will likely how the fight will turn out. I have to pick GSP to win his comeback game.

A lot of the people GSP fought at welterweight, like Nick Diaz and Carlos Condit looked much bigger than GSP in the cage.

I would have to think Michael Bisping could have enough of a size advantage at 185 to have a chance of winning.

Cody Garbrandt vs TJ Dillashaw will be an exciting fight for sure.

Here we go! It's confirmed Cody Garbrandt will face Tj Dillashaw at UFC 213, I more interested on this match compared to the main event. This will be a tough one to call, a knockout artist against to a semi. Cody Garbrandt ( W:11| L: 0| Knockout: 11| Dec: 2) vs Tj Dillashaw (W:14| L:3| Knockout:6| Sub:4 | Dec:5 ) I read an article after Cody's done with TJ he wants Mighty Mouse Johnson next on a showdown, perhaps if he win .
It is going to be an interesting fight because of the history between the two,Garbdandth has the power advantage here but TJ Dillashaw is elusive but having faced Dominick Cruz Garbrandt will have the solution for TJ's game plan. Cody Garbrandt facing Might Mouse Johnson will be the ultimate dream match as i have not seen anyone causing any problems for Johnson in his division and the lower division needs attractive fights.

It is good to see Georges St Pierre back in the cage and i am sure he thinks that Michael Bisping is an easy fight to make a return and i am certain that GSP wont defend the belt even if he wins the belt because i really do not know how he will be facing Yoel Romero who is really a giant in the division and it is difficult to fight him,Bisping is really ducking Romero and this match is really stalling the division .

Other

- A UFC Bantamweight Championship bout between current champion Cody Garbrandt and former champion T.J. Dillashaw was expected to take place at this event, possibly as the headliner. However, on May 23, Garbrandt withdraw due to a back injury and the bout was scrapped.

- A welterweight bout between former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler and former UFC Lightweight Championship challenger Donald Cerrone was originally booked for UFC 205. However, Lawler pulled out to take a little more time after losing his title via knockout at UFC 201. The fight was rescheduled to take place at this event. Reports began to circulate on June 28 that Cerrone had sustained a minor injury and that the pairing would be left intact, but expected to shift to UFC 214 three weeks later. UFC President Dana White confirmed later that Cerrone in fact had a staph infection and a pulled groin, and while the plan is to keep the bout, it won't happen at UFC 214.

- Alan Jouban was expected to face Brian Camozzi at the event. However on June 6, it was announced that Jouban pulled out due to a broken foot. Jouban was replaced by The Ultimate Fighter Nations: Canada vs. Australia welterweight winner Chad Laprise on June 8.

- With so many injuries to the card, the UFC brought in 4 fighters who will make their UFC debut against each other on 8 days notice: Cody Stamann, Terrion Ware, Trevin Giles, and James Bochnovic.
