Like what the analysis said about Jonathan Martinez feeling too much respect for Aldo, that should be minimized and we can see his frustration when the fight ended. He badly wants that win but he must stay aggressive. He got caught with a big hook in the temple and that wobbled him and his feet went weak. Well, it's not that bad to lose against the Hall of Famer Jose Aldo, he will just need to get back up.

Aldo's boxing definitely improved. I never thought about that, but his stance shows that he has a powerful punch now and it actually showed. Just that one hook made Martinez's eyebrow bleed and it proves that Aldo ain't joking when he said he is good at boxing now. Great fight. I loved it.

Despite some betting losses, I managed to make a profit. Especially in the José Aldo fight. The event as a whole was very good and exciting to see the Brazilian fans. Looking forward to the next one
Same here!
With my singles and had one betslip of 40.45x odds which I put a small amount on which would of cashed me a $1275 payout if only for two fights on the main card. Had a cashout of around $900 by the time those fights started.
But it was very fun to behold though and show to my friends. Grin

@jakelyson
Agreed with you about Pantoja's performance as many had said Erceg won that fight. Especially when that huge elbow landed and produced significant damage to Pantoja's forehead.
He would of won if he didn't so many takedowns in the final round and just stayed dragged the rest of the round on the feet because Alexandre was so evasive from scrambling on the ground.
Watched it again and see what all those MMA so called experts were talking about analyzing this fight.
For a 10th ranked fighter Steve Erceg held his own and is still basically a green hat in the UFC with just as many fights alot of fighters who have been in the organization for a longtime don't get the chance to debut on a Main Event card.

That Aldo Fight was really incredible and I am never imaging that Jose Aldo still had it in him and that Jonathan Martinez was not on par with his level of caliber I surely learned the hard way that Jose Aldo is still a great striker and he has shown it in the UFC 301 when he beat a younger fighter with his great boxing performance for sure he is one of the great UFC fighters that has a high caliber with his striking and now 1 of the legends in the industry it was shown in his fight with Martinez is accuracy and precision in getting those strikes whenever it is a striking punch or kicks it mostly land on target.

UFC 301 was really interesting from the Main Event to the Co-Main and I have bet for both fights but it appears it was really a weird choice for me here are the results

Alexandre Pantoja VS Steve Erceg WON (but not happy with the performance of Pantoja)

I have bet for Alexandre Pantoja but it looks like Steve Erceg was on Par with Pantoja or even more because his striking was really working on Pantoja because of Alexandre Pantokja's cut it was a bad cut for Alexandre Pantoja but the referee is just really ignoring it and letting the fight continue surely they don't want the Mexican community to get upset if Pantoja lost that time and even though I believe and bet on Alexandre Pantoja I was certain that Steve Erceg should have won this one.

Jonathan Martinez VS José Aldo LOST

Now! I might have given so much credit to Jonathan Martinez and I especially have some bets over him, but I never imagined that Jose Aldo to still be this good it was like he never had some year break, or just like I have said I have just given Martinez too much credit because of their age difference, as some older fighter can still manage to give it their 101% inside the octagon but is training and sparring more diligently as we knew they are doing.

Jose Aldo's last fight was in August of 2022 and he lost there through a decision. Is he still up for a fight at 37 years old? I am a big fan of that guy in his prime where he could knock out his opponent in just seconds when the bell sounds. I've watched his games live in those days and I will definitely support him again on this event. Who knows, maybe he is near to hang up the gloves, or maybe it will be after this fight.

Good luck with your bets.
Aldo was one of the bets on my parlay that lost while the Gomis one was cancelled even before the weigh-ins began due to having a medical problem after weight cut.
Up until the Petrino fight all favorites on this card were winning as the announcer mentioned during the Brito bout. So lost on Pereira going for the submission when he could of got the knock out instead of going for an illegal backflip move that would DQ'd him if that shin hit his head instead of his shoulder.
Overall solid betslip with having most of them correct showing two red and one voided (Gomis),
Didn't put alot on it as that will be for the upcoming main events for 302 & 303.

It appears that the sportsbooks have very much underestimated this sexy fighting kitten Karolina Kowalkiewicz hehehe. Why are they doing this to her? She has more experience than Iasmin Lucindo, the Brazilian mannish woman that she is fighting, she has challenged for the championship before and she is also more sexy and beautiful. She will be a very good underdog bet, I reckon. She will win with a decision. Do not underestimate this woman.

This is the picture that she sent to me last night after her dinner hehehehe.

I believe she is charting another path if the fights aren't good or they don't pay as well as before. But, as far as I know, most fighters have this poor management of their careers. While they fight, the only forms of income are just the fight itself
Their fight was the biggest age discrepancy of the whole card. With Lucindo being 22 years old and Kowalkiewicz 38.
The faster fighter won here, no doubt from the way she handled Karolina around the octagon.

The main event was a great one to behold. Will need to rewatch it because it was going back and forth so much and the grappling moves were excellent to watch.

Started watching this past weekend's card when Caio Machado knocked down Don'Tale Mayes. The punches he threw were not precise enough to put him out and this kind of punches would continue on for the rest of the fight. That is how the rest of this card was. Think there were 4 fights prior to this one when I began watching but I generally wasn't interested in any of them as there were things going on during that time of day I had wagers on.

That just an appalling thing to hear about Diego who from what you can see in the video him signing to Mr. White if it was alright for him to go and talk to him while he was still in the octagon and Dana nodded yes.
If the commission withholds his money which he needed so to be able to pay the staff from his training camp to the buildup of UFC 300 then that would detrimental to the entire sports reputation.
Now for Tsarukyan, that is another matter since he clearly attacked a fan in the crowd.
That is clear as day and you knew something was going to happen to him whether he was going to get fined by the UFC or this NSAC withholding his purse.
But atleast the fan didn't sue him nor the UFC because he knew he wasn't going to win that fight.

https://www.reddit.com/r/MMA/comments/1c7jix9/fan_apologizes_for_provoking_arman_tsarukyan_at

Let's get real now!

Caio Machado is just weird when he punches it was like he didn't make a sparring session or train for the standing because he was there and just throwing those punches and hoping it landed while Don'Tale Mayes's overhead punch sure got a large swing but it was really accurate to the face of Caio Machado it was a slow face fight because you can see that Don'Tale Mayes punches are not that hard for a Heavyweight but he surely got the accuracy.

The case of Diego Lopes was really weird in my opinion the kid doesn't deserve something like that and Dana White needs to do something about this as Diego Lopes might get the wrong idea in going out over of the octagon to talk to Dana White they should have just taken this as a warning and not take his purse and announce it that the offense for getting over the fence will withheld of their purse.

This rule doesn't make much sense, I understand that the order after the end of the fight is necessary, but as long as it doesn't affect the integrity of the result or the fighters it doesn't make any sense. Furthermore, it is very easy for them to withhold all payments from fighters, they have already made their profit and can very well earn interest on all these amounts while keeping them retained. The whole situation is very sad.

It sure doesn't make any sense at all with this kind of offense in those kinds of situations and I think that Diego Lopes does not do anything wrong at all but they still will give the verdict to him for climbing up the fence. well, for me I would like the management not to get his purse and take this as just a warning for future UFC fights.

BREAKING NEWS

It seems that Diego Lopes's payment for the UFC 300 was withheld by the Nevada State Athletic Commission or NSAC for stepping out of the ring by climbing it talking to Dana White then returning back up to the ring again which is ridiculous in my opinion sure I really think that this should be not a big deal at all as there is no one that got hurt only Sodiq Yusuff when Diego Lopes knocks him out but Arman Tsarukyan might also get his purse withheld and even had the possibility to be suspended and get ban in the sports which I think got the point because he punches a fan on the walkout but for Diego Lopes to have his purse be held like that is really ridiculous this kid is just making his name and I think that he needs that money to pay all of his debts from his trainer and teams that help him win the fight for me this is really ridiculous.

This rule doesn't make much sense, I understand that the order after the end of the fight is necessary, but as long as it doesn't affect the integrity of the result or the fighters it doesn't make any sense. This association is trying to be gatekeepers which is wrong to the sport when it comes to fighter's pay.
Let's be real and adult with this blazing fault of the UFC if they take away Lopes pay due to this extreme action to a fighter who had one of the best knockouts of the UFC 300 event.
Uncalled and certainly a black eye to the UFC if they go through with this.

UFC 301 is under way this week so let's get talking about it!

Exactly, it doesn't make sense. The guy puts on a show, gives everything, a great fight, a great personal performance to many fights and still has the affection of the fans. All of this generates revenue for the UFC and they, at the first opportunity, do this type of thing.

Several fighters in the past walk out and come back to the cage upon celebrating victory but this guy is punished because of it?  Did they suspect something that Him and Daata talk about? I'm sure there is a reason why they are now doing this.

They know this is not the first time. Conor has been throwing bottles and chairs before which is not very different from what Tsarukyan did but he is also punished. Their pay has nothing to do with what they did but I'm sure this is just NSAC looking for ways to scam fighters.
Their association to the UFC is how its went down with USADA - https://www.ufc.com/news/ufc-announces-details-new-anti-doping-program
They eventually will get around whatever regulations that are put in place and then come up with their own resolution(s) to replace them.
Exactly how they dealt with the American anti-doping association.

UFC main event 301 fights are looking good for a great upcoming weekend since the stinker at the apex.
Regret even wasting the time I did watching the fights.
Totally passed up watching the main card fight.
Jesus christ, everybody who had two brain cells said it was going to suck ass and they were completely right in their predictions on that.
100% correct!

This outsourcing of services is sad. Because at one time or another they will have to follow other people's "rules" and that goes against something they wanted. I believe that Dana's personal opinion, for example, is not that of punishment, perhaps it is completely the opposite.

From the news I saw, apparently they only withheld 5 thousand dollars, I could be wrong but a lot of it stayed with him. But in the end, it doesn't make any sense to retain any value from a fighter who delivers everything and more!

Maybe they did this because Diego's fights always end quickly...  Grin Grin Grin

I've read they were taking his money away, but IMO he did the right thing. That fan showed complete lack of respect and we all know how pumped with adrenaline and who knows what these guys are before the fight, so it's normal he saw red when someone showed him the middle finger. He was provoked, reacted like many other men would - pay the guy his money and let's forget about it.
Same thing with Lopes, who jumped out of the cage after the fight, which IMO is a ridiculous rule, since he didn't attack anyone and was simply celebrating.

Yeah the card was the worst the UFC have had this year so far and what to expect from yet another fight night from the Apex.
As many from the MMA community would agree and been said well in advance from almost all true fans of the UFC.

I guess you are still not late for the latest events that we got although I really don't think comparing the previous events to the events now would be a great idea and I don't really see the point, in doing such a thing, which it is not necessarily but the latest event now is not that great in my opinion but it is also not that lousy as I think that there are some fights in this card that are interesting from the main event to the Co-Main it will be interesting to watch for sure there will be a fight that will have a great ending some knockouts or submission.
