Wow!
Alex Pereira is the new king of Light Heavyweight division.
He demolished Jiri legs and he was better in this fight, except that Jiri had one takedown.
Ref did make early stop in this fight but he just saved Jiris head for getting more punches on ground and maybe getting serious injury.

I heard Jan Błachowicz is coming back in January in fight against Aleksandar Rakic who recovered from brutal injury.
What is the next fight for Pereria? Maybe Jamalal Hill or Ankalaev.
I do agree with the commentators too that the stoppage was too early. But, I never doubted Alex Pereira and that's why I took the bet for him. He can definitely do it and if the fight gets longer it will be the legs of Jiri that will give up. Just looking at it after 2 or 3 solid kicks made some black marks on his legs. It's already bruised and that's how strong Pereira's kicks are.
Jiri on the other hand got Alex pretty good at boxing, there was a time he made him wobbly too.

I don't like the early stop but it is what it is, he was badly hurt by those elbows but he was still holding Alex when they fell and not asleep. They can protest for a rematch and I am sure UFC fans will be looking forward to watching the two great fighters in the octagon one more time. I actually feel unsatisfied which made it hard to celebrate my profits. Cheesy Perhaps Pereira's camp will feel the same way when they watch the tape.

This is actually a class thread! I didn't even know this was here.

I'm so happy for Tom Aspinall. He is a great fighter. While I don't think he beats Jon Jones, I do however think that he is as good of a fighter that Jones will have faced.

Was not shocked that Perriera won against Jiri. He is a good fighter. I was cheering for Jiri though!
Thanks from the support of Sportsbet.io representative steve and welcome to UFC thread fellow fighting fan!

I was shocked from the results as well with both the main and co-main events.

Here is Jiri talking about the early stoppage as I think he could of lasted abit longer against the onslaught of Pereira's elbows.

Result for my bet and prediction for the UFC 295: Prochazka vs. Pereira

Jiri Prochazka VS Alex Pereira ROUND 2 KO/TKO - LOST

The Weirdness and the unpredictability of Jiri Prochazka were effective at the beginning of the fight at first Alex Pereira didn't have an answer to it, but in the later rounds all Alex Pereira needed to do was extend his arm and back out just to reset the situation because that is how Prochazka's style is he will set up with weird stuff and all Pereira can do is to restart the situation, and another thing is Pereira's leg kicks were really doing damage to Prochazka all Jiri needs to do is to switch stance,

but that setup from Prochazka was really effective on Alex Pereira, and the only thing that he was caught by Pereira was when he aggressively tried to last a sudden blitz to him without the setup, and that is how Pereira caught Prochazka with his nasty Left hook for me it was a good stoppage and if Jiri Prochazka would review the fights replay for sure he would notice his error in aggressively moving forward without setup,

Sergei Pavlovich VS Tom Aspinall ROUND 1 KO/TKO - WIN

It was too much Tom Aspinall didn't need his wrestling to finish Sergei Pavlovich the speed and Aspinall's fight IQ were all he needed to finish Pavlovich for sure, and for sure Aspinall was intimidated by how Strong Sergei Pavlovich was but anything is possible and Sergei also land some strong punch on Aspinall aswell, and surely that was taken by Tom Aspinall quite great, and those leg kicks was the one that Sergei Pavlovich has problem with this fight and he was also kind of outbalanced by it aswell, and because of the speed of Tom Aspinall it is possible constantly moving and the straight punch have beat the looping punch for sure and what I also notice was Aspinall on the start of the fight when the Referee was saying something and they are facing off, it could be that Tom Aspinall was purposely touch Sergeis shoulder maybe checking the distance of his reach for sure I think that also got Aspinall have an idea to help him for his reach,

Jessica Andrade VS Mackenzie Dern ROUND 2 KO/TKO - LOST

It was weird that Mackenzie Dern just threw 4 takedowns against Jessica Andrade Andrade has a good takedown defense I noticed when those takedowns were not successful against Jessica Andrade, Mackenzie Dern became desperate too desperate that she was throwing punches clumsily and she could not do this to Jessica Andrade and that have made Andrade knocks her but she didn't finish Dern and wants Dern to stand up because she knew that she got the upper hand and for sure Mackenzie Dern was really scared of Jessica Andrade by the look on what is happening because she doesn't know what to do,

Matt Frevola VS Benoit Saint-Denis ROUND 1 KO/TKO - WIN

And the hype is on for sure no one will question Benoit Saint-Denis anymore if he is just good with wrestling because this has proven that his kicks were really that great and that kick surely got Frevola knockout on the ground led Benoit Saint-Denis the win it was a fast 1:31 mins on the 1st round and for sure I don't know what to say anymore because it was an outstanding win,

@owengtam09 I like your selections for this UFC main event especially your comment on the Frevola fight because as everybody betting in this sport knowns, too much hype on a particular fighter can ruin your acca with getting one-legged very badly.
Where all the other favorites on your betslip wins except for that one fighter who was overhyped on winning their match.

Unfortunately, Matt Frevola lost to Benoit Saint-Denis with a kick that knocked Frevola, I was really frustrated with what happened with the fight but Benoit Saint-Denis was really this strong that I never thought that Matt Frevola would lose this fast,

This is the result of my bet and prediction for the UFC 295

Jiri Prochazka (2.01) VS Alex Pereira (1.81) - LOST

I think that Jiri Prochazka did great in this fight against those faints and the unusual movement was the one who made him successful in getting something landed on Pereira at the same time Alex Pereira was getting confused with the movement of Jiri Prochazka those leg kicks were the only thing that Alex Pereira can do with Prochazka and for sure Pereira had takedown defense but that guillotine from Pereira was not tight so Prochazka has taken down Pereira, and in the 2nd round this is the time that Prochazka was now very aggressive and wants to knock out Alex Pereira but it was his mistake because this is the time where Alex Pereira have caught him with that left hook the signature of Pereira that get him knockout which for me a good call from the referee,

Sergei Pavlovich (1.92) VS Tom Aspinall (1.89) - WIN

The speed of Tom Aspinall is exceptional in this fight and he uses that to deliver a low kick on Sergei Pavlovich's I think Aspinall did a great job in handing it down to Pavlovich technically, and I was really amazed because Tom Aspinall is not needed any wrestling to destroy Sergei Pavlovich, for sure Tom Aspinall did really amazingly in this fight and because of that he is now the Interim Heavyweight Champion for this division,

Matt Frevola (2.90) VS Benoit Saint-Denis (1.42) - LOST

Now I was really amazed that Matt Frevola lost this but for sure the hype on Benoit was true and he said that he didn't defend Frevola's takedown because he was good at scrambling so for sure Benoit Saint-Denis is pretty much trust in his ground game, that he can do well against Matt Frevola on the ground but that high kick that ended up in the head of Frevola was really superb that knock Frevola out for sure it was a great win for Saint-Denis,

Is Jamahal coming back already? I don't see him winning against Ankalaev but if ever they do fight it's guaranteed the result will be a weird fight. It is always a weird fight whenever Ankalaev is the other one.

Pereira's leg kicks don't look like it could hurt but Jiri suffers from it since R1. Pereira is also cautious in throwing his kicks, he knows Jiri could counter with a jab. The whole fight the leg kicks are meant to make Jiri slow down he was forced to an untimely takedown.

My bet and prediction for the UFC 295: Prochazka vs. Pereira

Jiri Prochazka VS Alex Pereira

The odds for this fight are 2.15 for Prochazka and 1.80 for Pereira, and for this fight, I think that would be a banger If Jiri Prochazka can withstand Alex Pereira's onslaught for Pereira surely got that knockout power, but we all know that Prochazka withstand round 5 with Glover, and we have seen that strikers tend to gasses out faster when wrestlers do a great job in grappling Pereira then this could be possible unless Pereira now got a decent takedown defense, my pick is Jiri Prochazka,

Sergei Pavlovich VS Tom Aspinall

The odds for this fight are 1.98 for Pavlovich and 1.94 for Aspinall, for this fight, I think that Tom Aspinall will be more technical in this fight as Sergei Pavlovich will throw everything even the Kitchen sink for Pavlovich will have the power in one-shotting Aspinall, and he also got his advantage with the range for sure Aspinall will have a hard time with that in getting Pavlovich on the ground, while Tom Aspinall will have the speed in shooting those takedowns faster on Pavlovichs face, and he also got á great Jiu-Jitsu for sure, my pick in this fight is Tom Aspinall,

Jessica Andrade VS Mackenzie Dern

The odds for this fight are 2.90 for Andrade and 1.49 for Dern and in this fight for sure Jessica Andrade will have the power shots and her striking will be the only tool she can pulverize Mackenzie Dern, but Adrade a sloppy striking and she is not an improving fighter, while Mackenzie Dern has a great wrestling game for sure well that will be her firepower against Andrade for sure, so for this fight I think that Mackenzie Dern will set up with striking but she will finish with the submission if she can for sure, so my pick here is Mackenzie Dern,

Matt Frevola VS Benoit Saint-Denis

The odds for this fight are 3.00 for Frevola and 1.45 for Saint-Denis for sure Matt Frevola has great boxing and for that, he also has the wrestling for sure so his takedown defense will be great for sure, but for Benoit Saint-Denis, I know he only got an average striking or stand-up, but his wrestling will be great for sure greater than Frevola so for sure Benoit Saint-Denis will get this fight on the ground because I think that will be his finishing thing against Frevola,

Here are my picks for the UFC Fight Night Almeida vs. Lewis event
You chose the lowest odds in this event. I think, if you bet as a combo would be better and bring you more profit since if you lose guessing any match already is a loss.
For the main event too, you chose to not gamble on it it’s not enjoyable for me.
The odds are very close for the main event but I’m betting of Jiří Procházka even he has low odds.

The only issue for me is when is the main event will start on for instance gmt timing?

Yeah the Bones Jones fight was taken off awhile ago and they ended up bumping the Jiri Prochazka vs Alex Pereira fight to the Main Event and replacing the co-main event with Sergei Pavlovich vs Tom Aspinall.
Jones skinny legs cant handle his new muscle mass, that is why he got injured  Grin
I really like new main event but it is not easy to say who will win it, and I think odds changed from last time I saw them, Pereira is slight favorite to win this fight according to bookmakers.

Heavyweights next week, then another big fight the week after that. UFC 295.

Jon Jones versus Stipe Miocic at the main event Alex Pereira versus Jiri Prochazka on the co-main event. I got to get my hands on some money before that because I will be betting for Jones and I wish I could have the same result as I did in his last fight at UFC 285 against Ciryl Gane.
Also, I am rooting for Alex Pereira to win his match.
Very interesting fights, I like Alex Pereira a lot too. By the way, is Ciryl Gane natty? He is so tall and has so much muscle, I just can't believe that he is a natural, probably injects lots of oil (roids) in the ass. Wonder, why does UFC allow such a massive and visible steroid usage? Can't think of any designer drug because such a massive amount of muscle needs testosterone to be kept and testosterone is very detectable unless he injects base every day, which I doubt, because it would be a massive pain.

Here is the free fight of Jon Jones versus Alexander Gustafsson. UFC 165. Brings back a lot of memories.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en4hR34Bl8w
One of the great fights that I consider in the light heavyweight division as Gustafsson gave Jones a tough time and he might be the only one who hit Jones more in his UFC career. Height and reach are almost identical, the speed and agility, and their skills too, I think that is why they are a great match at that time. I cannot even imagine how Gustafsson survived all the elbows he took in round 4. He definitely was the toughest opponent for Jones, and then the takedown defense and the hard chin too.  Grin
This is absolutely the best fight of Jon Jones, I like to watch it regularly because I see the performance of them on very high level and more importantly, this fight didn't end in a minute, lasted till the end of time. This fight was the toughest fight for Jon Jones, Gustafsson really almost won that fight.
I like this fight too, amazing performance: Khamzat Chimaev vs Gilbert Burns

Here are my picks for the UFC 295 Procházka vs. Pereira

Jiri Prochazka (2.01) VS Alex Pereira (1.81)

For me, this is going to be a close fight not like the Glover Texeira VS Jiri Prochazka close fight but it will be like that, and no doubt Alex Pereira will be a great deal with the standing for sure because Jiri Prochazka will have the advantage on the ground while Pereira will likely have those takedown defense which I really don't know if there would be a decent effect for Jiri's takedown and for me Jiri Prochazka will have the advantage on unpredictability those kicks and the stamina where he can surely make Pereira gas out on this fight for sure I have seen Pereira gassed out on his fight back then, so for my pick it is Jiri Prochazka,

Sergei Pavlovich (1.92) VS Tom Aspinall (1.89)

For this fight, it could be a fast ending fight but let's hope that Sergei Pavlovich will have the power and if he can time his punches this fight can be over, but Tom Aspinall has the speed and the technical advantage for sure the Speed of Aspinall is super incredibly fast for Pavlovich but he can never get wrong with Pavlovich's power, but the level of Jiu-Jitsu for Tom Aspinall is just amazing so for me my pick is Tom Aspinall,

Matt Frevola (2.90) VS Benoit Saint-Denis (1.42)

The hype for Benoit Saint-Denis is so huge for this fight and that is because of his wrestling but for sure Matt Frevola also has decent wrestling but I don't like Saint-Denis's striking for me is just good at wrestling but has a sloppy standing, while Matt Frevola has a great boxing so for this fight my pick is Mat Frevola,

Yes, heard about this fight being scheduled between Suga Show and Chito Vera.
But also heard about one which will be closer for us during UFC 297 which was announced recently.
Dricus Du Plessis vs Sean Strickland.

This one seems to be what everybody wants to see with the championship title on the line between these two UFC fighters who I don't think will disappoint when they face off in the octagon.

Well, we have many upcoming events for the UFC and I am pretty excited about the latest announcement even though the fight will be next year it is just tempting to see it getting attention and what you guys think about it, but yeah for sure the Dricus Du Plessis VS Sean Strickland will be a much-awaited fight as Sean Strickland is now the champion, and for me, Dricus Du Plessis can have a weapon against Sean Strickland which is the ground and grappling game, while Sean Strickland will now be dangerous in the stand-up because of his unpenetrable defense,

Big fights are incoming. I will be eyeing for that.
Here is what I found.
Quote
UFC’s first quarter schedule for 2024 is starting to take shape.

UFC CEO Dana White on Monday announced a trio of title bouts on social media for early 2024. First up, UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland defends his belt against Dricus du Plessis on January in Toronto at UFC 297. Then, UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski returns to 145 pounds to take on Ilia Topuria in February at UFC 298, and bantamweight king Sean O’Malley rematches Marlon Vera in March at UFC 299.
https://www.mmafighting.com/2023/11/6/23949367/dana-white-announces-upcoming-title-fights-for-ufc-297-ufc-298-ufc-299
Sean and Suga Show are both exciting to watch, Dana White would want to give these guys more fights to gain more audience.

It's still way far but time passes so fast and on Saturday will be witnessing Alex Pereira one more time at UFC 295.
Pereira is a slight favorite. @1.73 Jiri Prochazka @1.99
Waiting for the other lines to come out, especially the knockout and submission odds. Maybe tomorrow it will show up. I am rooting for Pereira here not just because he is the favorite but because we have seen him fight and he can definitely win.
Anyway, it's sad that we won't be seeing Jon Jones perform due to his surgery for a torn pectoral tendon. It could've been a blast if both the co-main event and the main event will happen.

Excited about these big fights but we still are getting some Fight Nights in the middle of those big fights so it will be a long wait for sure, as you have said time passes so fast that sometimes we are not aware that it has already time for that big event that we are waiting, for me just chill up and also enjoy the Fight Nights because you will never know if there will be a new prospect for us that we sometimes missed and didn't seen their debut fight for the UFC, some details like this are really great of an opportunity,

Jan Błachowicz is surely a hard fight but Alex Pereira has managed to win against him While Israel Adesanya didn't do so great against him that Alex Pereira did great, actually, I really think that the Era of Israel Adesanya is already over many have gotten inside his head that he supposed to clear and he is not really making any progress as Alex Pereira is a very focus guy for sure, while Jon Jones will need to recover but we are getting a much Juicier to fight in my opinion, Tom Aspinal and Sergei Pavlovich is a great call for the UFC,

Sportsbet.io has another special for the UFC this weekend.
Make a bet with 3-legs between November 6-10th and have a chance at winning a freebet for the main event.
Remember to OPT-IN before placing your bets!

https://sportsbet.io/promotions/11-fight-night

The Picture looks like Jiri Prochazka And Alex Pereira but not quite, it was an amazing offer for Sportsbet to have this kind of Promotion, and for sure many will likely place their bets on it,

And Speaking of the latest event for the UFC Jiri Prochazka VS Alex Pereira this is an interesting one as it is kind of hard to predict who's going to win but for me, I really like the Samurai Jiri Prochazka because he just has so many options to take for this fight, and for me, he will definitely going to adjust to the situations for this fight,

Now going to tackle an event that is far next year and it might be on March 09, 2024, I am talking about UFC 299 where Sean O'Malley will be having a rematch with Marlon "Chito" Vera and I think this is going to be an interesting fight and because the champion Sean O'Malley wants this rematch he will be getting it for sure, and another one there is a more complicated thing that happens in this Bantamweight division and that is the buddy problem because Merab Dvalishvili don't want to fight Aljamain Sterling and Sterling feels the same the UFC might give them other option, it should be Merab Dvalishvili VS Sean O'Malley and Aljamain Sterling will be facing Marlon Vera instead but because the 2 will be having a rematch and the buddy thing is a problem with Merab and Aljo, then Merab Dvalishvili will be fighting Henry Cejud instead and Aljamain Sterling will be fighting Max Halloway, for sure that will be an interesting fight for sure,
