The Press Conference for the upcoming fight for the UFC 294: Makhachev vs. Volkanovski 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzcd56QxLfA

This is a heated Press Conference for the upcoming fight for the UFC 294 and it is really juicy for sure I really like how Hasbula is giving Islam Makhachev his belt, that was really cute, as we all know Hasbulla is a well-known personality and a friend of the Nurmagomedov, but it is funny when Alexander Volkanovski ask a question for Hasbulla "Who's he's gonna back tonight?" when Khamzat Borz Chimaev is huge taller than Kamaru Usman, and for sure Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski had some respect for each other for sure,

This might be late but I think this Individual interview was really important for this juicy event,

Volkanovski released a video on his youtube channel that he knows most fighters wont take this fight with 11 days notice but he sees this as an opportunity. See more here-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3LbjWNmgBw

Personally i like the fight to go the distance, and i donot want to bet against khabib camp fighters but it may just be worth it to bet on volkanovski at 3 odds.
I also think betting on Nurmagomedov + chimaev is a pretty nice play paying 1.94 odds!

This is a nice prediction video for  UFC 294 if  someone wants more opinions-

UFC 294: Makhachev vs. Volkanovski 2

MAIN EVENT
Islam Makhachev VS Alexander Volkanovski

CO-MAIN EVENT
Kamaru Usman VS Khamzat Chimaev

MAIN CARD
Magomed Ankalaev VS Johnny Walker
Ikram Aliskerov VS Warlley Alves
Said Nurmagomedov VS Muin Gafurov

PRELIMINARY CARD
Tim Elliott VS Muhammad Mokaev
Jinh Yu Frey VS Victoria Dudakova
Bruno Silva VS Sharabutdin Magomedov

This is a great event well firstly I think this is the 1st time I would like many fights for a card in this event for sure from the Main Event to the last but I am just taking what I think will be the juicy one, for sure Islam Makhachev VS Alexander Volkanovski was a truly great fight for sure that will be an insane fight but Volk going in this fight and doesn't have a full training camp is for sure a suicidal in my opinion, I surely wish that he knows what he is doing, even though their 1st fight was so much close and he is putting the decent defense on Makhachev's wrestling the stand-up is a different story for sure,

Kamaru Usman VS Khamzat Chimaev is a great fight but I still want the Paulo Costa fight to happen, maybe if Khamzat Chimaev can get this done or become champion then a fight for the belt will give Paulo Costa a chance for the belt but sure he needs to take the Rank one 1st, this is really unexpected and for sure will give an edge to Chimaev moving for the belt, Magomed Ankalaev VS Johnny Walker is a fight of athleticism for sure we all know Johnny Walker for sure while Magomed Ankalaev can surely finish the fight in the ground he can not underestimate  Johnny Walker for sure, Ikram Aliskerov VS Warlley Alves and Said Nurmagomedov VS Muin Gafurov is a tasty one for sure this could end up with a submission win or maybe a knockout win depending on how the Dagestan can finish their opponent,

Tim Elliott VS Muhammad Mokaev, now this fight Mokaev is a shinning prospect for sure for me Tim Elliott is a great opponent for this kid to test the waters, and Jinh Yu Frey VS Victoria Dudakova, for me I have so much appreciation for Victoria Dudakova I think he is a beautiful and Dangerous at the same time a fighting kitten for sure, and for this fight Yu Frey will be  tested, and lastly Bruno Silva VS Sharabutdin Magomedov fight where this is the debut for Bullet Sharabutdin Magomedov the Dagestan Striker,

Something came up and it looks like Usman's knee just popped.  This is according to this Twitter post https://twitter.com/Sa_Gwang/status/1714670633798324417
Gaethej confirmed this too.

A bummer to see there will be a fight to cancel and apparently it's the one that we have been anticipating. Less than a week of notice seems not possible. If they however going to push through with Usman vs Khamzat, it's really an odd that we have not seen before against the top fighter.

You were right! They did already announce they would be going with another drug testing organization.
Drug Free Sport International, the same ones who do the testing of athletes from the NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball and the NCAA and others.

Here is the article I read up on this which will begin for the new year when their contract with USADA ends:
UFC creates its own drug-testing program in wake of split with USADA over McGregor
https://www.foxsports.com/articles/ufc/ufc-creates-its-own-drugtesting-program-in-wake-of-split-with-usada-over-mcgregor

Thanks for sharing the link I think that was the article that I also saw with the drug testing organization for the UFC, or they the UFC do drug testing on their own, I think I have read another article that says this but let's just wait for further news if what does the UFC have settled in doing this drug testing, for sure the UFC wants to control the result for the drug testing or maybe the USADA is getting cheeky with the requirements,

Barbosa acted like an experienced fighter and did not let the first round near K.O deter him and went on to win the fight.
It was one of those fight nights which anything could happen and did.
Jonathan Martinez after his win against Yanez even called out Merab which nobody really expected because before tonight I never really seen him fight.
Jonathan Martinez Octagon Interview | UFC Vegas 81
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8ZcghuIkqc

The biggest upset for me was the co-main event where Viviane Araujo defeated Jennifer Maia.
There was a betslip I viewed from one of those UFC experts who had every single fight predicted corrected expect for this one. She looked very bad in this fight and it will affect her rankings for a title shot.

I was surprised by Edson Barbosa for sure I underestimated him and because of that I paid the consequence and lost my bet, I was late in getting a good look at Edson Barbosa's for sure I was really surprised with his Physique and his performance was awesome as well, for sure I thought that Yusuff could finish this on the beginning of the round but Barbosa has suddenly turned the tables against Sodiq Yusuff

But right now I really don't know what may happen if USADA splits with the UFC but for sure the UFC has ready themselves and announced that they will have their personal Drug testing for their fighters.

Edson Barbosa looks very muscular but he is 37 years old. It's kind of a fair fight, the event is not for a title fight this is sort of a regular fight night.

If fighters are to vote though, they'd rather want USADA out of the picture for they are just taking cuts of the money they are making. These are just groups of guys out there much like the mafia wanted to control Uncle Fester. But USADA is not going to be just a pushover. I think Dana has to call out his best lawyers and politicians from high places.

Edson Barbosa looks very muscular but he is 37 years old. It's kind of a fair fight, the event is not for a title fight this is sort of a regular fight night.

I believe you are right about this for sure USADA was doing this for the money and sure Dana White and the UFC are really pissed with the USADA for me as their cash cow can not fight in the intended fight that they want, but maybe USADA just wants for UFC to pay them so they can approved on Conor McGregor for sure,

Here is the result of my bet and prediction for the UFC Fight Night: Yusuff vs. Barboza it was a frustration because all of my bets lost for sure I was really surprised by the results here it is,

Sodiq Yusuff VS Edson Barboza ROUND 5 DECISION - LOST

For sure Sodiq Yusuff was great in the 1st round until Edsan Barbosa got the pace in the next rounds shutting and slowing down Yusuff with a spinning kick that was the turnover to Barbosa for sure I really never expecting that and I was standing at my seat seeing that because I already lost 2 fights for sure, so pretty much I needed the win for the Main Event but still Sodiq Yusuff didn't delivered, for my bet but still the next event is really juicy for me,

Jonathan Martinez VS Adrian Yanez ROUND 2 KO/TKO - LOST

While Even though Adrian Yanez is pretty much more accurate with his striking Jonathan Martinez has found a way to slow down Yanez, I was really shocked that Martinez has done this, taking low kicks on Yanez's lead leg that has Adrian Yanez limping the whole fight even in the post-fight interview Adrian Yanez still is limping going outside the octagon, it was truly a great performance but I lost this one as well,

Christian Rodriguez VS Cameron Saaiman ROUND 3 DECISION - LOST

This was a close fight for sure either fighter could win in my opinion actually it was an amazing fight for sure and for sure Cameron Saaiman did all that he could do for sure but Christian Rodriguez made 3 takedowns for sure that controlled the fight for him to get most of the strike for sure controlling most of it in this fight,

The result of my bet and prediction for sure I was really frustrated about this,

Sodiq Yusuff (1.57) VS Edson Barboza (2.35) - LOST

For sure the 1st round was great for Sadiq Yusuff he almost knockout Edson Barbosa and pressured him with his boxing, but Edson Barbosa managed to hang on from all the barrage he was taking from Yusuff but for sure Edson Barbosa in round 2 clearly recovered, and was going now with his kicks and right now Yusuff movement has now slowed down in this pace, for me Sadiq Yusuff have landed more strikes than Edson even though Edson Barbosa got many takedowns than Yusuff he still manages to win this fight for sure I thought that Sadiq Yusuff won this fight but Barbosa return back on the initial rounds,

Jonathan Martinez (1.85) VS Adrian Yanez (1.92) - LOST

For sure Jonathan Martinez's low kicks have put some neat damage to Adrian Yanez's lead leg and Yanez was hopping into desperation inside the octagon because of those low kicks even though the fight was settled Adrian Yanez was still limping in the post-interview surely I was wrong again because it was a master class performance for Jonathan Martinez,

Christian Rodriguez (1.63) VS Cameron Saaiman (2.23) - LOST

This was a close fight for sure and it could also go the other way but Christian Rodriguez surely has the control for sure Rodriguez shot 6 takedowns but 3 has got Saaiman down for sure while Cameron Saaiman shot 5 takedowns not for sure it was a close fight both entered the fight with no losses at all but for sure they already taken care about this but for sure it was a lost for me again

USADA had announced in a statement earlier than president Dana White intended they would not longer be doing the drug testing for fighters.
So of course this had made alot of noise by fighters in the past who were cut out competing in the UFC made their voices heard. Especially Mcgregor.

Edson Barboza had a photo a month ago showing how big he can get and at his age had people wondering if he was on the same training regiment as the Notorious one.

With the next UFC Vegas 81 starting in about 7-8 hours from now, there was a fight which had been scheduled to happen due to a controversial stoppage ending in a no contest was cancelled right after the weigh-ins:
https://cagesidepress.com/2023/10/13/ufc-vegas-81-loses-edgar-chairez-daniel-lacerda

The cancelation wasn't due to either fighter missing weight but due to a non-disclosed medical condition for Lacerda.

Surely this is very suspicious and many speculated that the UFC had intended this just for Conor McGregor to have a fight it is pretty suspicious indeed and just for McGregor they are filing a case against the USADA and USADA is filing a case for the UFC as well,

Edson Barbosa is freakishly huge and sure at his age, he looks super strong for with that body physique he has now for me, it is not because of the body physique and mass that a fighter can win alone surely but Sodiq Yusuff for me has great boxing for sure and he is pretty much technical going for this fight in my opinion if he can become active with the output for sure for me Sodiq Yusuff will win this,

But right now I really don't know what may happen if USADA splits with the UFC but for sure the UFC has ready themselves and announced that they will have their personal Drug testing for their fighters,

These last few UFC main events of the year are up in the air for who the main card opponents are going to be.
Was just watching something earlier yesterday about how Volkanovski was going to fight Topuria for the beginning of new year. But now hearing from the post conference interview of the Contender Series last night it seems that he will be the replacement fighter for the UFC 294 event.
Even the fight against Paulo Costa doesn't seem to be going forward as it doesn't look as if he will be fully healed enough after having surgery on his elbow so from the looks of that replacement fighter Kamaru Usman is primed to take on the challenge.
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10093051-kamaru-usman-vs-khamzat-chimaev-fight-set-for-ufc-294-after-paulo-costas-surgery

As reported on ESPN twitter feed later today:
https://twitter.com/espnmma/status/1712203765074333817

It is surely a surprising turn of events and no one really expected the replacement for Charles Oliveira if Alexander Volkonovski is not prepared why does he accept the fight sure he is aware of the power of Islam Makhachev but for sure he is also aware that going into this fight Islam Makhachev is also preparing for a different fighter so he doesn't have time to prepare for a Volkanovski fight for sure,

While the Khamzat Chimaev VS Paulo Costa for sure another fight that has a fighter who is constantly leaving and canceling the fight just because of something and sure Paulo Costa is number 1 good at it,

Right now this fight will surely be early without us knowing about it so here is my bet and prediction for the UFC Fight Night: Yusuff vs. Barboza

Sodiq Yusuff VS Edson Barboza

The stake odds for this fight are 1.57 for Yusuff and 2.35 for Barboza, this fight could be a banger it will be a sure striking match as both fighters are striking and in this fight, it will be a boxer versus a kicker for sure but for me, if Sodiq Yusuff can pressure with punches against Edson Barboza he can be in an advantage because Yusuff has a decent boxing for sure as Barbosa is mainly about kicks, but for sure in this fight I will be betting for Sodiq Yusuff,

Jonathan Martinez VS Adrian Yanez

The stake odds for this fight are 1.85 for Martinez and 1.92 for Yanez, now this fight will be so close for sure as I agree with the odds for sure anything can happen in this fight for sure Jonathan Martinez has a good-sounding kick and he can also get a good grappling with this fight but for me Adrian Yanez has the power and the accuracy for that shots for sure Yanez has the great accuracy on those strikes and a mistake for Martinez could be a counter for Yanez for sure so my pick is Adrian Yanez,

Christian Rodriguez VS Cameron Saaiman

The stake odds for this fight are 1.63 for Rodriguez and 2.23 for Saaiman, actually just because you got the better of Raul Rosas doesn't mean he can likely win this fight for sure Christian Rodriguez has a decent takedown defense as shown by their fight against Rosas, but Cameron Saaiman, in my opinion, doesn't need to worry about Rodriguez takedown defense because he can surely finish this fight in the stand-up and in my opinion Cameron Saaiman is an undefeated fighter and for sure he is a better prospect here, for me I surely like the underdog here and I may risk this but I really got a gut feeling about this so my pick is Cameron Saaiman,

BIG news as Charles oliveira is confirmed out for the fight vs Makhachev , volkanovski is fighting on 10 days notice.
Makhachev has opened at 1.4 odds , i expect it to go down to  1.33 maybe.

Dana is not happy with charles not contacting UFC and getting himself stitched without informing them, i suspect it might be a while before we see charles fight again in UFC  Cry

Huge respect to Volkanovski for taking this fight at only 10 days notice, ill put 10 bucks on him just because Grin

For sure it was all thanks to Alexander Volkanovski that we are having a much juicier fight right now I am really excited about this card and it could go south for Islam Makhachev if this is still the same Alexander Volkanovski that we saw last time they fight for sure he doesn't have enough time to prepare for Makhachev, but looking at his fight last time for sure, Volkanovski real want this fight and he doesn't like what is the result last time, so yeah Makhachev out strike him for sure

Now going with the event right now here is my pick and prediction for the fight right now,

Sodiq Yusuff (1.57) VS Edson Barboza (2.35)

This is going to be a classic match for sure between two strikers and Sodiq Yusuff sure has some great boxing that could be very accurate with his punch while Barbosa has a good combination of kicks and punch but for sure those kicks need to be checked by Yusuff for sure and he can not underestimate that on Barboza's part for sure his age will give a bad impression for him that he might lose this fight and so I am going with Sodiq Yusuff,

Jonathan Martinez (1.85) VS Adrian Yanez (1.92)

For this fight, Jonathan Martinez has solid striking as well but Adrian Yanez has a decent accuracy for sure this is the real banger of a fight, and sure it could end in a close 1, but for this match, I really like Adrian Yanez's style and adding his accuracy to his arsenal for sure my pick is Adrian Yanez,

Christian Rodriguez (1.63) VS Cameron Saaiman (2.23)

Now for this fight, I do not really believe this card odds even though Christian Rodriguez defeated Raul Rosas Jr. for sure it is a decent fight Rodriguez has a great takedown defense because of his fight with Raul Rosas Jr. but surely Rosas has said he is not feeling well that time if I am not mistaken, but it was a lost to Rosas, but for me, I really like the undefeated kid, for sure he likely have a decent chin in every of his fight so my pick is Cameron Saaiman,

Sodiq Yusuff: 'He Is A Legend' | UFC Vegas 81.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzlDpDgzMSQ
This guy is just smiling throughout the whole interview. Very optimistic, with no hate in his blood. I kind of like him and I may bet for him. The easy part is, he is the favorite so for those who are always picking the favorites, this won't be a hard choice.

Here are the odds for the fight.

Yusuff, Sodiq | Winner @1.58 | By KO @3.40 | By Submission @5.60 | By Decision @3.60|
Barboza, Edson | Winner @2.33 | By KO @3.10 | By Submission @21.00 | By Decision @7.60|

It looks like most analysts think this fight will be up to the judges by looking at the odds that were given. A chance for Sodiq to get the submission because of his grappling skills and Barboza as favorite with the KO.

When Sodiq was asked about how he see this fight ending, he said "I see it ending with a finish, to be honest."

At such short notice, Volkanovski could have refused this. Can he even hit the weight requirement in 10 days? Well, It wouldn't be the first in UFC.
While I wish Volkanovski to win, it might just be difficult to achieve.

Meanwhile, Costa is chickening out.
If Costa will not be able to fight Khamzat, I think the rematch of Burns vs Khamzat will not be the worse option rather than dragging Rakhmonov vs Khamzat.

Dana is not happy with charles not contacting UFC and getting himself stitched without informing them, i suspect it might be a while before we see charles fight again in UFC  Cry

Huge respect to Volkanovski for taking this fight at only 10 days notice, ill put 10 bucks on him just because Grin

Anyone else see something about Paulo Costa getting surgery on his arm?
Glanced over something about it earlier yesterday and was thinking this meant another cancelled fight for him.
Luckily I mistaken and it doesn't seem to affect his next scheduled fight with Khamzat:

Something about the next UFC Vegas 81 during the weekend.
Edson Barboza is in the main event and remember seeing something around a month ago to start the hype machine on this fighter with a photo of him training:

Edson is 37 years old and looks better than most fighters in their 20's are of course going to get these sorts of mentions on their socials.
He has fought the likes of Dan Hooker, Bobby Green and even Khabib so this fighter is among one of the best there is.
