Turkish Stream will be finished, and it will be up to the European countries themselves if they want to build the infrastructure to get the gas from that pipeline.

If there is no sabotage from the Turks, then the Turkish stream will be completed on time. Greece and Serbia are 100% in support of this project. May be now the Bulgarians should introspect a bit... about the lost opportunity to become Europe's main gas hub.  Grin

An so, the next expected step happens.

Head of Russian Ministry of Energetics, Novak, citing a statement from Gazprom manager Miller, said that the gas transit contract with Ukraine - which expires in 2019 - will not be renewed:
http://ria.ru/economy/20150413/1058285871.html

Miller also threatened that those countries, sabotaging the construction of the Turkish Stream and insisting on transit through Ukraine, may end up without Russian gas at all:

What about the prices? The Ukrainians will be paying for their gas at a rate of $248 per 1,000 cubic meter. What about DPR and LPR? Do they need to pay at the same rate?

On February 19 Ukraine’s state-run Naftogas Company cut off gas supplies to Donbas explaining it was because of damage to pipelines.  Russia’s

Gazprom then started using stations on the border with the Luhansk and Donetsk republics to supply gas to the region.

Just a few hours later the Ukrainian side said it had restored the damaged pipes and resumed supplies.

A curious aside. There was a gas explosion in New York, where three houses were damaged and two people died. Turns out the landlord of Ukrainian descent was illegally siphoning gas from the pipeline. Is it something in the genes?  Roll Eyes

No surprise there. Ukrainians have been illegally siphoning gas from Russia for many decades now. Old habits die hard. Even after migrating to the United States, he couldn't give up the habit of stealing natural gas.

^^^ The real aim behind all this is to replace the cheap Russian gas in Europe with expensive LNG imported from Qatar. In normal circumstances, the EU nations will never agree to this. So it is the United States master plan to block the Russian gas flows to Europe, and thereby forcing customers to buy the expensive Qatari LNG. If you are wondering why the US is pushing so hard with the Qatari LNG, then you should know that almost 100% of the gas fields there are operated by American companies.

Gazprom is slowly offloading its assets in the European Union. An example is this:

http://www.themoscowtimes.com/business/article/russias-gazprom-to-sell-105-stake-in-german-gas-group-vng/518714.html

On the other hand, they are proceeding with their projects aimed at East Asia, at a rapid pace.

Jesus, what the fuck is wrong with these?  Don't they understand how critical it is for Europe to continue to receive a reliable flow of energy from Russia if they're to maintain their fortitude with regard to the sanctions they've established against Russia?  You'd think this would be obvious and that they'd have a little more consideration for the pressures the EU and US elite are under right now - there's a lot Russia could do to help out the EU and the US, I don't know why they're being so obtuse and uncooperative.

The unidentified tradesman confessed to rigging a gas-supply system for apartments at 121 Second Ave. but blamed it on his boss to “deflect” any fault from himself, law enforcement sources said.

Authorities haven’t decided whether to cut a deal with the worker in exchange for his testimony or use his statement against him, one source said.

The official investigation is still in its preliminary stage, with probers trying to recover evidence from the rubble, sources added.

Investigators suspect an illegal hookup in the building was removed from a gas line ahead of a Con Ed inspection on the day of the explosion, then reinstalled before the devastating blast about 30 minutes later.

Ukie + gas supply system mix is a deadly joke.

Europe has to take side when Putin is flying his bombers over their citizen's heads.
http://edition.cnn.com/videos/world/2015/02/19/pkg-gorani-uk-russian-plane-intercepted.cnn

Actually those bombers were flying over the international waters, but certainly that wasn't the most reassuring move.

Um, we can look at it from another angle. There are hundreds of such military flight happening daily - both by Russia, USA, China, or any other large and medium state. We never hear about them until someone really needs to score some political points and start fear-mongering among population.

Question is do the NATO planes fly over international waters too? I bet they do.

But what is more important, do they turn their transponders off too? And it turns out that even passenger plane crews turn them off!

Quote
Turning off a transponder is easy and, in rare instances, there may be good reason to do so in flight — for example, if it were reporting incorrect data.

As you have failed to notice, the Russian bombers didn't violate the airspace of any foreign country.
They also were flying with transponders turned off, endangering civilian aircraft.

So now they are no longer flying over European heads, but just have their transponders turned off, right? Nice turn, what's next?

The true state of the Ukraine economy has been concealed through Western loans to keep the coma patient just barely alive. Another way to keep delaying the admission of insolvency is to conduct a war. This is why the war with Donbass is necessary for Kiev.

I disagree. A war can only bring closer insolvency for Ukraine, but it is a lesser of the two evils. The bigger evil is Ukrainian population themselves. The authorities are not so afraid of default as of their own population revolt. A war allows to channel the growing disappointment of public from internal to external enemy.

Ukrain is in a civil war between the west and the east. Taking side is a bad idea for Europe.

Ukraine hasn't yet received anything of these billions.
And they won't, because there is not enough fools left. Nobody would give them even a penny, because it's much simpler to use shredder instead.

Kiev is buying time before trilateral talks in Brussels, March 2. Alexander Novak (Russian energy minister) had warned that Kiev’s failure to prepay would mean an inevitable cut-off.

Quote
Ukraine’s Naftogaz has paid Gazprom $15 million for gas delivery. At current levels, the prepayment covers one day's gas consumption and will be spent by Tuesday, Gazprom spokesperson Sergey Kupriyanov said

Ukraine is evidently running out of its foreign currency reserves, which measure up to mere 6 billion dollars presently (real sum is unknown though).

I think west Ukrain received about 40 billions from Europe, US and the FMI (also a bit from the world bank) so far!
East Ukrain received nothing.

Don't count your chickens before they are hatched! Ukraine hasn't yet received anything of these billions. Also, what is FMI? You probably meant IMF - International Misery Fund, huh?
