Unfortunately, the mention of Bitcoin comes accidentally or is associated with strange technology or money to buy on the black market or it is an investment solution that makes you rich or other things far from why Bitcoin was created.
I hope that the films will touch on some technical things or the real use of Bitcoin so that the user will receive better information.

I want to watch some movies and documentaries, what are your tips?

Pretty common for me too.

But the FIRST ever series that used the Bitcoin and also sweetly introduced Bitcoin to the world was “Big Bang Theory”. Honestly that was the first time I ever heard about bitcoin but it was way way casual for me. The mention was only in one of the context where the friends discuss about some Physics theory and end up talking about advancement in the technology. That is the speech where Sheldon the lead guy in the series mentions about Bitcoin.

That was definitely happening for many people around the worlds and fans of it. After that various series started doing it all the time. Mostly criminal based series and series who has FBA involvement.

Do you know of local movies that mention Bitcoin? By 'local' I mean those that aren't American or British, not something that people widely watch all over the world.
Bitcoin is the new trend of the day, and most importantly when it comes to investment, and as such we shouldn't be surprised seeing movie producers and writer diving into to telling it's story to the world at large about Bitcoin. But however, I have not seen any local movie which Bitcoin is randomly mentioned, but there is one which I downloaded last week Black Lotus 2023, which tells the story about "how an ex-special forces operative wages a one-man war against a drug lord who kidnapped his late friend's daughter, after her stepdad who is the CEO of Bitcoin trading company lost the fund of the leader of the gang of over 50million euros in Bitcoin as a payback for his lost funds". and I love it since I'm a big fan of action movies.

I don't know much about movies that include Bitcoin in their dialogue. but that sounds good to those who do know Bitcoin. and for whatever reason, maybe the scenario writer added it because Bitcoin is being talked about a lot worldwide. and it can be a concern for more people to enjoy their films.
maybe, documentaries related to El Salvador and its Bitcoin adoption could be made. it will be an exciting film. Or perhaps the film already exists?

I have not watched any indigenous movie that Bitcoin was mentioned. This might be because the movie industry in my country is still developing and the restriction placed on the use of Bitcoin. It is nice to hear that a movie in Ukraine mentions this uncommon currency. I hope the movie is translated into English language because I will like to take a look at it in my spare time. The movie didn't just mention Bitcoin but spoke about it in a friendly manner. It even advertised the currency, indirectly advising people to invest in Bitcoin. If I have the financial power, it would not be bad to sponsor a film that will promote Bitcoin in my location. Maybe, the government might ban the film because of its negative approach toward Bitcoin but before then many people would have viewed it.

This sounds interesting, I've not watched any Ukraine movies lately but I will look into this one, I remember watching two Korean movies where Bitcoin was made mentioned, and also two Chinese movies where a gambler was regretting not buying Bitcoin instead of using his life savings on gambling.

He thought that making money with gambling is faster and Instant, and with Bitcoin you need to hold for a while if not longer before you can make money, he made a wrong choice that cost him his family, things fall apart and his grand mother had to look after his kids. I will look into Luxembourg, thanks for the information.

Actually bitcoin is mentioned quiete a lot in current TV series and movies, much more then I feel like it is talked about it in real life. Maybe it is because especially TV series always try to catch up new stuff to stay innovative and modern. It is always appreciated if they mention bitcoin in a positive way, since this is often not the case. Mostly bitcoin is talked about as the currency of illegal deals.

Yesterday, I went to watch a Ukrainian movie and was pleasantly surprised that it casually mentioned Bitcoin. I know that it's pretty common these days for American TV shows and movies to have some crypto references, but it's really nice when something local follows the trend. Ukrainian movies are generally far from being good, but they're slowly getting there, trying to find their style and place.
The movie is Luxembourg, Luxembourg, and it is definitely one of the best Ukrainian movies so far (but again, the bar is very low), and Bitcoin was casually mentioned in a dialogue. A guy asked his wealthy son-in-law what kind of currency would be a good investment nowadays, and the son-in-law replies that it's Bitcoin because nowadays, Bitcoin rules the world. I was pleased to see such a casual and positive mention in a movie that's not about technologies or finances at all (it's a social tragicomedy or something like a slice of life).

I couldn't recall the names or titles of the few ones I've watched that has bitcoin being pronounced in them or cryptocurrency since bitcoin is falling under crypto as well, there are nice and interesting movies in their numbers about bitcoin i heard people watched before and i think there's also a thread whereby a member take time to list out interesting movies that bitcoin or cryptocurrency was being mentioned, though i can't say of them if they are Hollywood movies or from the local movies industries they were made and they have been interesting to watch.

Bitcoin is not prohibited in Ukraine even before the war started by Russia. I don't know how many Ukrainian movies in which Bitcoin is mentioned?

Is this movie the first local movie that mentions about Bitcoin?

Those movies, documentaries likely are all in English but who knows. I did not watch all of those movies and documentaries.

I don't know of local movies that mentions BTC, but i know the name BTC is very common today, many people who mention it in all walks of life do not know exactly what it is, and they each have their own meaning of what BTC is. The media has a lot written about BTC and crypto, they say it is a scam, tool for money laundering, ponzi, a means to fast wealth, etc, this is why i don't really get excited when we talk about BTC being mentioned in a movie or in other programs. BTC is talked about globally, but the percentage of people who truly know its purpose as a censorship resistant currency is still low.
