Yes - do it ASAP - Ryan Hentz at Bittrex says they will keep the wallets open for a few days past the 14 days - but when they stop running them - thats it.  You lost them.

Well they can't exactly steal my coins or they will be sued. I'm sure if anyone misses the deadline you can just contact Bittrex and get your coins.

Yes - do it ASAP - Ryan Hentz at Bittrex says they will keep the wallets open for a few days past the 14 days - but when they shut them to the public - thats it.  You lost them.

I guess they will stake with what they are left with from non-withdraws (they seem to stake near the end of each month) then sell when we are listed on Cryptopia.

Of Course - depending on their States unclaimed property laws - they would likely need to report the unclaimed property - wait until the claim period expires - then they would have legal ownership of funds.  If you claim during the reporting period - you will likely get them back - but after that they become property of Bittrex IMO.

If its under $2500 and because its crypto the Nevada Unclaimed Property Division of the Office of State Treasurer is unlikely to want to hold these UTC.  They can refuse to accept unclaimed property under a certain value or of a certain nature. Are UTC regarded as "property" in Nevada?  Interesting to note there are quite harsh penalties for failing to report unclaimed property.

Quote
A holder who willfully fails to report, pay or deliver property within the prescribed time or willfully fails to perform other duties imposed is also subject to a civil penalty of $1,000 for each day the report, payment or delivery is withheld or the duty is not performed, up to a maximum of $25,000, plus 25 percent of the value of any property that should have been but was not reported.

In addition, if an examination of the records of a person results in the disclosure of reportable property, the Treasurer may assess the cost of the examination against the holder at the rate of $200 a day for each examiner or a greater amount that is reasonable and was incurred. However, the assessment may not exceed the value of the property found to be reportable.

IMPORTANT - COINS on BITTREX

As most of you know - Bittrex delisted UltraCoin 29 Jan 2017.

https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202583874-Bittrex-Market-Removal-Policy-Updated-12-01-16

If a market is removed, you will have 14 days to remove your coins from our wallets.

As such - YOU MUST WITHDRAW ALL YOUR UTC from Bittrex wallets before 12 February 2017.

So - only 3 days left to withdraw.

If you don't - Bittrex will keep them and sell them (dump) on another exchange when we list.

thanks usukan I am downloading the wallet and it is syncing

Good stuff - did you get an email from Bittrex telling you to withdraw UTC?

No I did not get an email about it, I just saw that I had some on bittrex with 0 btc value so I knew it was delisted. Is it safe to wait a few days for the blockchain to load and then transfer my coin? or should I do it right away?

Hi guys, I have coins on bittrex, what do I do, send them to cryptopia???

Edit: UTC is not traded anywhere???

Thank you

Hi KidCrypto

Cryptopia do not have their wallets set up yet for UTC (a full sync takes about 4 days from scratch - I'm guessing they don't want to use the bootstrap for the blockchain) - as such there is no deposit address for UTC on Cryptopia yet.

You will have to withdraw to your own wallet address on a Windows machine.  If you are way behind on sync - it does not matter.  You can send to your wallet addresses without syncing (its not advised but if its an emergency its OK).  Just DONT SEND TO YOUR WALLET IF YOU ARE NOT ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN YOU KNOW YOUR PASSWORD and that you have your private keys backed up somewhere safe.

Alternatively - if you have no UTC wallet - install the new one and start syncing.  It will take 4-5 days.  But as soon as its installed only (and not fully synced) you can copy an address from it and send your Bittrex funds to that new wallet address.  Be sure to encrypt the wallet/add password - then back up the encrypted private keys in several safe places. MAKE SURE YOU RECORD THE PASSWORD on paper (a strong one with numbers, letters U and L case, symbols # @ $ % & * etc - more than 15 characters - hand written (not online anywhere) - in several different safe physical places. Triple check you record it correctly.

The new wallet files can be downloaded from here:

    Official Download  http://ultracoin.io/dl/Ultracoin.zip
    Mirror Download   https://mega.nz/#F!nAVymCQa!wdJ4DMaULSptCqC5BX8fCw

This link has downloads for both 32x and 64x Windows installations.

The simplest installation of the new wallet is via running the appropriate setup.exe for your Windows operating system - either 32x or 64x i.e. "UltraCoin-v1.0.0.0-Win64-Setup.exe" or "UltraCoin-v1.0.0.0-Win32-Setup.exe"

This applies if you want to install a NEW Ultracoin wallet - OR if you want to update and old installation.

So - if you have a Win64 operating system - just download and run "UltraCoin-v1.0.0.0-Win64-Setup.exe"

Once the installation has completed - you need to be sure to run the correct ultracoin-qt.exe so the NEW wallet opens (i.e. don't use your old desktop shortcut).

Best create a new desktop shortcut - as follows

    - Navigate to C/Program Files/Ultracoin folder
    - Find the file ultracoin-qt.exe
    - Create a shortcut to this file - and put it on your desktop.

Use this new shortcut to run the new wallet (and best to delete your old desktop shortcut)

As always - be sure to back up and save your wallet files (wallet.dat) to several other storage devices.

If you know what you are doing - you can use the .zip files shown in the download link (i.e. ultracoin-qt-v1.0.0.0-Win64.zip) to manually configure your own wallet installation.

Just make sure you get the wallet address correct.  Send a small amount of UTC first - then check your address and TXID on Presstabs block explorer.  If it goes through - all good to send the rest to the same address.

(NOTE - if you have a wallet on MAC - you will need to find your wallet files "wallet.dat" at this location "~/Library/Application Support/Ultracoin/" - then import them into a new version wallet running on a Windows machine - There is no MAC wallet available for UltraCoin just at the moment). Just find the wallet.dat on the windows machine (C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\Ultracoin) - rename it to something eg wallet.datx - paste in the wallet.dat file from the Mac wallet - run the Windows wallet - and it will read the wallet key files from your Mac wallet.

UTC should do well on Cryptopia.  It's a growing and innovative exchange.

I'll look forward to the trading the UTC/UNO pair.

Bittrex will not transfer unclaimed coins to an UltraCoin Community fund.

Ryan Hentz states that all holders of UltraCoin on Bittrex will be emailed and warned to withdraw before their wallets are closed down.

Please let me know if anyone has already got this email - or it comes in the future.

WITHDRAW UTC NOW

The more I think about this issue the more I am concerned.

I'm not at all happy about Bittrex getting to own all unclaimed UTC. With a lot of major holders only checking sporadically - I imagine there will be quite a lot of UTC left unclaimed.

This is not satisfactory.  14 days is not a big window to retrieve funds.

I have approached Bittrex and asked them to return "unclaimed UTC" to an UltraCoin Community fund.

UTC address   UNaWZYGxKR9quWdncigRMx3mWXX8LvszsA

From here we can work for however long it takes to return UTC to its rightful owners.

Of course adequate proof of ownership from Bittrex account info would be required to release and avoid any false claims.

Its unfortunate that they appear to store UTC in multiple deposit accounts - rather than centrally in an identifiable hot and cold wallet.  It makes it impossible to assess the current balance of unclaimed funds.

Anyhow - all I can do is approach them and see what they say.

I think that its rather unfair if they plan to profit from delisting coins - by selling off unclaimed funds.

I will advise any updates on this.

Meanwhile - best thing that you can do is withdraw all your UTC from Bittrex - as a matter of EXTREME urgency.

ANOTHER UPDATE

The UltraCoin application to List on Cryptopia has been completed and paid for.

Paytopia Payments
Search:
Id   Type   Amount    Coin                            Status           Begins           TransferId     RefundId      Timestamp
327   ExchangeListing    500000.00000000    DOT   Pending   7/02/2017      Pending     N/A               2/6/2017 10:55 PM

I expect these guys to be pretty damn efficient.  They added WAVES and WAVES assets in a couple of days just recently.  Don't forget though - it will take them at least a couple of days to sync their UltraCoin wallets from scratch - even with the bootstrap.

I will update when there is any news.

Check your engines please...........

Already we have significant donations from one of our esteemed Community members - who shall remain anonymous since its a PM contact.

The appropriate UltraCoin WAVES token reward has also been generously donated by this member to the UltraCoin WAVES Dev fund account and I shall advise Team @Cripto accordingly.

The support from the UltraCoin Community always impresses me - and its why I keep working for you.

Update

Steven is working on the ANN and Website now - he should be finished by the end of weekend.

I have bought the 500k DOT (0.162 BTC - the DOT price just keeps going up unfortunately) on Cryptopia to pay for the listing - as soon as we have the ANN and Webpage sorted I will register and pay for the listing of UltraCoin on Cryptopia with these DOT coins.

If anyone wants to donate to the cause - you can send BTC to this Cryptopia address for BTC.
1J2kJ8jh94NNgCEmCCL7uYDXsH63h3TZ5W

I will use these funds to set up the market (on buy side) for UltraCoin when its listed (and pay for the UltraCoin WAVES Token listing on Cryptopia).  All proceeds (profit) from any trading will be returned to UltraCoin for development as and when its needed.

Any "donations" will be eligible for rewards from Team @Cripto in UltraCoin WAVES tokens - which I intend to list on Crytopia when the UltraCoin listing goes through. (I have confirmed with Team@ Cripto just now - they state)
Quote
1,000,000 minimum per 1 BTC but randomly generous
Just PM me your WAVES address if you donate and I will pass to Team @Cripto (yes - and I know most of you - so any impostors will be thwarted).

Once we list and get everything organised - we can decide to pay for promotions if we want.  When Steven gets the social media and dev roadmap sorted - this is probably the best time to spend on Cryptopia exchange promotion.

Cheers - usukan
