Mostly if you have patient confirmations will get through, even with auto fees your most likely to get one confirmation after 6 to 8 hours boost them and it would be just like a normal day in the bitcoin office.

I think there is a problem with very small transcation in bitcoin right now. I try to do similar with 0.001 and after 6 hours this transaction has 0 confirmation. I had pay a normal fee for this and was 0.00001. I think is not good for the bitcoin network and payment system to drop and block the small transaction because it seems that this happens now the system completely block that kind of micropayments.

hmm,  maybe about 80% or 90% of the ppl in this thread are throwing out wrong info

anyway, this 'priority' you see, doesn't really matter.  do any pools actually set aside kb for priority?  i doubt it

and I would pay .000100001 per kb

If it's dropped from the network how do you the get BTC back in your wallet?
It is as if it never left the wallet. If a transaction is dropped, it is as if the transaction never existed so the Bitcoin remains as if the transaction never happened.

What is the best fee amount when we send bitcoins from one wallet to another one.
I really hate now transactions, when i see people waiting for days.
I haven't sent transactions during this time, so I can't really say. But if I do send transactions, it will be double what Bitcoin Core defaults to recommending e.g. 0.0002 per Kb instead of 0.0001 per Kb.

Been waiting 51 hours now and suddenly my transaction is gone from blockchain.info  Huh

Those of you who are old enough to remeber the days before internet know the feeling of wondering where my money is traveling at the moment. Sending cash in the mail was high risk sport... Grin
That is ok and normal. Any unconfirmed transaction will be dropped from the network and "forgotten" after a few days. The Bitcoin is safe, and you can just resend the transaction with a higher fee so that it can actually be confirmed.

Shouldn't ever wallet have an automatic transaction fee suggested in terms of the volume of the network to avoid this? in core we have automatic suggested transactions, even tho i think i always used the fixed 0.0001 one

It feels like the miners are just straight out ignoring anything under a .0005 fee.

I feel that blockchain is having an issue as 0.0001 BTC is their normal fee and still the transaction is unconfirmed so in this case even setting a higher fee won't work. You need to wait till blockchain is back to normal.

I guess we have a lot of people not understanding that with this volume of transactions the only things that's going to get you moving is paying higher fees, well at lease .0002 to .0009 for a transactions is my experience so far when i needed to send bitcoin and its working.

...

bitmixer.io is indeed a legitimate service, I have used them many times.

My best guess is that transactions of very low amounts (and especially very low fees) are the ones with looooong confirmation times.

Two examples:

1)  A few days ago bitmixer sent a small payment to ME, but it took some 40 + hours to confirm (as they sent the payment with a close to $0.00 miner's fee).  I did get it confirmed, but it took a long time.

2)  As a test during perhaps the worst of the "stress test" / spamming / attack (July 6), I sent myself a small transaction of about BTC0.005, but with a large fee: BTC0.0006 ($0.16).  The transaction was confirmed on the next block.  Reconfirmed on the one after that.

Notice the pattern?  Be a tiny bit generous, and you get your payments confirmed.  Be really stingy, and the miners will not bother confirming you when THEY are under attack as well, and not getting any payment.......

I think this post is worth paying attention to. I think it is really important to that people start realize that there is connection between the chance of your tx to be added to a found block and the size of the tx fee. It is really up to the miners if they want to add your tx to the block or not, but a high fee will really increase your chance. I have noticed that when cyber-bank-robbers steal bitcoins from the bticoins exhance then do they use 1 BTC in tx fee, in these case then was the tx included in very next block. Not saying you should pay that much, but if you have a tx where the addresss is valid for a time limited time, then pay a good extra fee, in the case in OP, then would I have paid 0.005.

I've got the same shit. 2 BTC withdrawn from poloniex is stuck. Tx: a2ee8ad3d201954b502733fa0697c6761b38ee67a4f9f51a8b307142dfbdbe27
The block size must be increased!

That is not a solution.  It's really not a spam attack can be done on a 100mB blocks

3 days and waiting for this one to confirm

c3c13053f54101413e2e638ccf0e3be32956e7e0e2c95451bd9996da84723128-000

I know there is a low fee, it was sent Date: 7/6/2015 17:12

It is not 3 days, it shows that today was made that transaction:
Medium Priority because of the low fee
Fees    0.00000375 BTC

This is so silly!  What did they think would happen with the stress test!  Just wait, the backlog should clear soon.

Just looked out the window, no flying pigs yet!!!  Cheesy
