I think at least its important to mention that these are passthroughs, not real shares. Just in case a newb doesnt know that theres a difference.

Whether or not he started the thread, I believe this is a mistake.
G.ASICMINER-PT, ASICMINER-PT, and ASICMINER-ACTUAL are not convertible in every direction, thus not interchangeable/identical. Until Friedcat sets up his own exchange these are (although highly related) different securities. Once Friedcat creates/designates an official exchange, this will be less of an issue as both passthroughs have promised to allow conversion to back into ASICMINER-ACTUAL shares if and when he does so. (We currently have no idea when that will be, as Friedcat has made clear that running the mining operation takes priority.)
Having passthroughs mixed in with real shares is going to really muddy up the unified "orderbook", and if the consensus is to allow this, then the unified order book summaries need to make clear what actual security the bids and asks are for.
