I like how 863 UNO were dumped on Bittrex last night and yet the price was not phased. A silent dumper? Maybe just a trader who bought that all for pennies cheaper? Decent support.

Also great to see another node go up. Thanks Mark and FK.

From a quick look at the nodes It would Appear Asia And South America do not have many, might be a good place to start? Tons in north america and a handful in europe.

I am always partial to SA, however, in this case, it would seem more beneficial to node in Asia? More growth?

Whatever the community thinks will generate the best return / results.

The UNO network is strong, but if you would like to help make it stronger, consider sponsoring a node.

My actual cost of adding a UNO node through AWS is approximately us$60/year ($5/month). I have experience doing this, and now have an image that lets me stamp them out pretty fast.

Let me know if you would like to sponsor a UNO node, and I will add your node to the OP with a "Sponsored by ".  Yes, I accept UNO.  I will set it up and manage everything on your behalf.  You can select the region (East US, West US, Europe, India, Australia, South America, Japan, Korea, Singapore, etc).  I will tie these node together to create a tight network

BONUS: These stable little Windows servers can handle 2 different coins (as long as the blockchain is < 1GB and not too torrid. I couldn't operate a BTC node, for example).

So if you sponsor a UNO node, I can piggy back another altcoin on the same server for no additional cost (as long as it has a stable and working Windows wallet).

Greetings! This is an excellent idea!

I will be glad to fund a node for at least a year. Please let me know the address to send the $UNO.

As for the piggy back coin, please make it your choice as to which coin you think will benefit $UNO most.

Cheers!

EDIT: As for the node location, please make it somewhere $UNO currently has no support. Green shoots...just like the economy of the United States!  Tongue

I'm extremely glad to see the Cryptsy cloud is going to be cleared in the near future, we can now see the bright light peaking through the dark cloud, prepare for an extremely prosperous future once this is said and done everyone. Smiley

On another note, I sense a shift in attitude towards crypto from the masses in the near future. Smiley

re: UNO node

I am very interested in this concept.  If a platform/process can be created where I donate X amount of UNO per month, then I will send my subscription fees monthly.

I'd be very happy if i can piggyback on the server I personally sponsor.

TLDR;
LIKE THE FOCUS ... global routed nodes ... I'm willing to fund a node via UNO month by month.

Redundancy, reliability, strength
Sure,  i could work with you on that.  Just say which region of the world, and name the piggy-back coin.

Looks like an auction for the UNO lot is on the horizon. If I were a whale I'd try to hold down spot UNO until then... grab a large slice of the auction... then pull the sell orders and pump spot.

I wonder if the UNO will be broken into multiple lots? That might prevent a single whale from controlling such a large percentage.
Most likely they will follow the lead of the U.S. Marshalls who auctioned off the Silk Road Bitcoin and accept sealed bids.

This should lead to a really interesting time for long term UNO hodlers. Glad for this last opportunity to add to the rare ol' stack.

This is a way to improve UNO's network and help other altcoins in the process.

Lets strengthen the network, provide a list of known and trusted UNO community sponsored nodes, and help some other altcoins in the process.

GOAL 1:  Add 20 new trusted and interconnected connected nodes across all global regions. Redundancy, reliability, strength will help ensure that UNO remains among the strongest and most reliable cryptocurrency networks.

GOAL 2: Support the price of UNO. The annual cost of a node is us$60 in the day's UNO equivalent (47 Un today). Thats my server cost, no profit added (and I pay any bandwidth overrun). I intend to hodl Uno payment for orders.

GOAL 3: Help other altcoins, combine our mutual interests, share our community's expertise, and maybe even ignite some interest in the altcoin<>Uno pair on Cryptopia.co.nz, if one exists. Its an outreach. The UNO community shares your interest in keeping the servers up, since our interests are combined.

I think its a SuperNET project (a collaboration between a few different coins IIRC, BitcoinDark being one of the better known ones): a decentralized wallet & exchange client they're building. Apparently they have their own node implementation for bitcoin-based coins and included UNO, pretty sweet! Worth looking into that a little deeper, we've been discussing a need for decentralized exchanges for a while...

Steemit is just the social crypto platform used for that blogpost.

I was on Chainz explorer, when I saw something I hadn't seen before.

So I did a little poking around and found this:

Great to see UNO is going to be on Steem platform.  Who is working this? I would like to learn more about it.

Found this... http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/46007/what-is-steem-and-steemit

Hi guys,
I left UNO about 6 months ago, because I'm a trader. I had them for long time and was proud of it.
Today I had a look at UNO and I have to give you all a big bravo for holding on the coin.
Stable price and still active community, just great !!!

You should realy try to get UNO on Poloniex. UNO might not have enough volume for a trading platform like Poloniex,
but that's in the nature of UNO. It is a rare and cool thing, and I'm sure, many traders would like to own some... think about it ;-)

Anyway, stay tuned, keep going, I like you all, cheers
