Yup, it's like the old saying:

Yeah,

I hear ya! Awhile ago, I sold a bunch to help with market making and never got a chance to buy back and as it popped. Oh well!

I still like Benefactor's quote:

"A fool and his $UNO soon go separate ways...  Cry"

Are the teenagers running another pump? Or is it Mr. Gecko?  Roll Eyes

I think it's new interest and regretful dumpers. I think Gecko said he dumped at .012. He claimed he bought in at .003 and made 4x profit but how is that the case if BTC is 4x less than it was at that time?

I guess maybe because 4x BTC is 4x BTC.

In April bought at in at .003btc ... is no great feat to sell off at .02

Why? UNO tracks value in $ ... not btc (You Know the coin that was $1200 and is now $200).

"I think it's new interest and regretful dumpers."

that and
FUNDAMENTALS

the chart is still sound

Also Uno needs always be able to be mined independantly in any case. Actually the opinion of miners would be interesting too.

With the old knc shit I have, it costs me $.80/gh/day to mine UNO.  I think, with a spond sp20, it pays from .05-.22/gh/day to mine UNO.(bitmain s5 uses less power)  Why am I mining at a loss?  Why did I mine Bitcoin at a loss in 2011?

uno=.2 current price at this time
Case Closed.

Verdict for the miners who mined "at risk of loss".

a formidable altcoin store of value

Sidechains are no threat to UNO rockchain.  And if a decent model (code packet) is created it just means we can cold storage UNOs in them and recover them later if the new asset fails.

BUT

Merge mining into BTC network is on pause pending proof of works.  Get a coin in the BW / Uno sphere-of-influence MM first.  Mark on the map when 'forking' probably will happen (if and only if needed).

I am not technical, so I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around the side chain thing. What it appears to me, is the system in which coins can trade on their own, without an exchange. So in other words, to bring it into my world, that would be like asking exxon to gladly accept shares of intel in exchange for itself. That is a ludicrous proposition! That's why we have a intermediaries like exchanges. I don't see the value added at all.

What I do realize is critical, its credibility. The UNO community has significant amounts of credibility. It is a rock in this steady stream of bad crypto that is released daily. My suggestion is to test the side chains on other coins first. If it's a hit, then we can move in that direction later. I simply don't see experimenting on a known commodity that already works well. It is highly risky.

Furthermore, from my experience, the hash follows value. As the word about UNO gets out, we will continue to see a significant rise in price, thereby attracting more and more hash. I think that it is a problem that will solve itself.

Finally, I'm glad that we're having these detailed discussions. Decisions made in a quick and rash fashion never end well. Let's continue to deliberate and gather information so that we can make the best possible decision, whatever direction we go.

We can set a date to fok on the road map.

i just said the same to FK. Let's draft a roadmap (but without hard timeline, let's make it dependant on the trends) and then pin up the graphic for the future roadmap somewhere so people can see what's maybe coming down the road and discuss more leasurely so we can put this discussion more in leasure mode for now as it takes up a lot of space and has such an uncertain vibe to it (it's not neccessary to have that).

Uno hashrate linear projected out with price indicates Uno is viable on any marketcap right now (and sufficiently secure so, around 100 Th/s for every 1.6mln $ cap has been projected which should be perfectly good). It is working very well. I can't identify any immediate need to take any action - especially not with the current trends.

As soon trends change for btc or uno we likely want to proceed with the roadmap and make it a formidable altcoin store of value. But right now i see still a realistic possibility/scenario for it to become the maincoin. So all it takes is some flexibility in this actually.  Wink

proposal from me: delay until dominant trends change.
(let's leave it all on the roadmap for the future though)

Yes fork but later.  When the trends shift.  We can set a date to fok on the road map.
In the meantime.
1. Bryce can demonstrate on another coin. (How about merge mining MM an existing sha256 to UNO ... I have a few in mind)
2. Bryce and Blazr and perhaps an additional group of devs can launch a new MM coin from a UNO snap shot.
3. I have an idea on a 'super' coin ecosystem/economy (more details later) but this moves UNO from being just a coin to being the core asset of value of something much greater and really makes evident the case for challenging BTC and UNO becoming the real coin of SHA256 ... miners mine where the money is to be made.

Something above my pay grade.  All this fuss in BTC about forking because of 'block size'.  Is it possible for us to create a MM coin that does just what Gavincoin wants to do.  If that is the case then UNO is not bloated but a MM coin that supprts the UNO network handles the bloat.

I know I am new to the community and maybe should not be passing judgement on the Dev but if he believes that if a wallet is not backward compatible it is not a problem then I have serious doubts about him.Not backwards compatible in my humble opinion reeks of a HARD fork and is that really what you want.I would deff not hard fork it and would even be wary of a soft fork.

Nice dump! Bought yesterday , bought again in the night and I'm also gonna buy today. Holding 4 medium-long term. UNO is cool! Easy money

I agree.
Buying UNO is perhaps the easiest way to make money - and the longer you HODL the more money you make.  Grin Cool
