We haven't done an Oz from Oz yet! IndiaMikeZulu -- Australia-based -- are concentrating on the ten-oz Perth Mint bars. Are you in Oz?

There is a one-ouncer winging its way to me as we speak. Buying it was a learning-exercise undertaken by Bitcoin Charlie and I.

Let's see what we can work out.

Bitcoin Charlie, the 'easing-the-way-for-newcomers function' was the primary task of the exchange we ran for the Denmark (W.A.) Crypto-Town Project.

All that concerns me is that folks will think that this Quiet Time is a waning. Nuh.

And -- DDOS on Mintpal. Another small reason to have an in-house exchange.

And -- read this 'Store Your Coin off The Exchanges' post: 'real' coins being traded. Hmmm . . . I hadn't understood that:

Let's put Un-Ex in a sort of 'Christmas-Holidays-skeleton-crew mode' 'til after our birthday. Everyone -- quite rightly -- wants to HODL.

Mark
Another tactic I have used was to give 5 to 10 UNO to people that have a general interest to just get them to download the wallet in hopes that they'll buy some more from an exchange or take interest enough to start tweeting or FBing about it.

I don't know if I'm being altruistic or if it will work...

@IMZ Yes, I sold to Edgar as a community service.  I really want to sell none of my UNO.  I am really trying to help spread the word.  Your fruits of our transaction will go out on Monday. Please let me know when it arrives!

@ Sirsmokes: 'The trades should be mutually beneficial.' Your post was fine. I agree with all points.

@Bitcoin Charlie: Yes! it's a fact that -- wth both birthday and halving coming up -- that no one wants to sell their Uno. Un-Ex is here to stay. We are learning. Things will ease up in a month or so.

That is all i can really do. I need to cut back on how much i am spending on crypto. If i paid off my credit cards i could take those monthly interest payments and turn them into coins, so unfortunately i am working on doing that.

Alas, all the coins i am involved in are 'works in progress'

My plan is when one of the coins does well to try to roll that over into another one of my holdings, try to pay it forward if ya will Grin

edgar,  I can offer you [edit, strikethrough: 20 UNO @ 0.005], just to add to the community spirit to fill your larger order. I know it is pathetic, but I really don't want to sell any at this price.  Even at 0.0055, 50 UNO would be about too much of a quantity to sell.

I do the smaller trades almost like a service, sometimes taking losses, basically.  For example, I'm not likely to replace the UNO I've already sold on this exchange at the prices I sold it for.  Like sirsmokesalot, I will attempt to arbitrage to replace the UNO I would sell to you.

Offer valid only to Monday, 8AM, PDT.  (Code BeneU011-edgar)

[edit:  * Offer Expired *, sorry.]

Just send BTC to accept and initiate the offer:

BTC:  [edit, strikethrough:  1AvPYxy7Qs5oT8AcDvqrbGiXQSJmsjjeXB]

I hope you get to fill your order, and I'm pretty sure that you will, just maybe piecemeal or off of other exchanges.

Thank you for your consideration.

Hey, Edgar:

in the greater crypto-sphere, one trader must always send first -- must 'extend trust.' Exactly what we are doing here is fuddy-duddying about as we build a formal ratings-system. Then, within that system, all parties will be known, so there will be no problems about who needs to extend trust.

It's my hope that you'll come to understand that there's far more going on here than might be at first apparent -- wanna buy silver bullion?

Mark, Western Australia

i'll let you know when the uno turn up...

As far as the point of the exchange here, i don't believe it is to help each other out. I like everyone here, and i am not trying to screw anyone, but i am not a charity either. The trades should be mutually beneficial. That being said, i am much more inclined to sell uno a bit cheaper than i really want to here, because i feel like the people here won't turn around and dump at the next peak and stagnate the value.

For me this was more about breaking away from market manipulation. It shows people who happen to read this, what the active members of the community are willing to pay. Really i was hoping to see prices here a slight bit higher than current exchange prices are, hopefully setting the bar for what people feel comfortable to charge on an exchange. So far they have been. I also like being able to develop the bonds of trust between individuals. I am sure each individual here has a slightly different idea as to what the goals of this whole experiment are.

Sir, thank you for sending. In this forum, once your trust rating is established, you will be the one to receive first. Here is the TXID:

Have a great day!

Also, if you would add to my bitcointalk positive trust feedback, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again!
