Dont be late , we are ready to fly to moon  Wink

Every time I hear "to the moon" I feel like dumping all of my coins!  It is the most over used, over abused, term I know of.  And typically when it is uttered the price inevitably drops.

I second this. Although I am bullish on VNL I urge you to stop this moon nonsense.

+1, please no repetition of "to the moon" phrases and pictures. Makes the thread look far less serious.

Exactly, except for the occasional troll this thread mostly consists of people asking good questions and other serious contributors. That whole "moon crying thing" stands out like a sore thumb.

Icebreaker is currently attacking, oops more like fud'ing,  oops more like giving "facts" (lol), 2 coins that are the next to go to the moon (VNL and BTCD),  coins developments/innovations/releases that going to be a threat to his beloved coin. Also, as someone mentioned it already, since he started to fud here and on btcd, we can see some sell walls been added on both coins... coincidence? Huh really? lol

By the way, what is the most secure place to store the btc?

From my side, definitively,I hold all my btc on VNL

So you are recommending a portfolio that is not diversified?

That's funny. People here are acting like they are big investors. "O M G :O :O You are not diversifying? Its #1 rule." It's not a fricking Wall Street, you're not buying bonds to earn 4% per year, it's a casino. What do you want to diversify? Your risk is 100% on whatever coin you invest. Especially when you invest in altcoins, because you also have to follow bitcoin's price. Information assymetry is huuuge. Just decide how much you want to risk and diversify between crypto and other investments. Find a coin with best risk/reward ratio, take a gamble and don't hold it for too long.

VNL is a great investment. I don't really see it going lower and has huge potential for growth. Risk/reward is outstanding. Why would I buy DASH or other shitcoins if there is literally very low potential for growth and risk is the same? This really doesn't make sense to hold more than 2-3 coins, because generally all of them are losing value with the passing time, so I don't want to follow this pattern.

Doesn't matter if it's wall street or not.  If you don't diversify, you are gambling.

There are several coins that are good stores of wealth.

Thanks for the discertation, but please, no one listen to this fool.

You are gambling on every coin. The only diversification which makes sense is between crypto and real investments.

The only thing it takes is bitcoin to go from 420 down to 200. There goes your good store of wealth. LOL Cheesy If someone doesn't understand the amount of risk which he takes by investing in a cryptocurrency then the discussion is just a waste of time. If you diversify between the highly correlated instruments with the very high rate of risk you only thinking you're not gambling and fooling yourself. Of course diversification lowers your risk(when you are investing and you know what the word "correlation" means  Cheesy), but it also cuts your potential gains and when the risk is that high you don't want to do that.

I wish you best of luck anyway.

So you are saying that because the cryptosphere is so risky, diversification is not important?

I'd still rather diversify my risks.

And I never said btc was a good store of wealth.

I like your use of vocabulary though.  Makes you look intelligent.

I'm not saying it's not important, but it might not be the best strategy. It also depends on your appetite for risk, but if it's low, why are you investing in crypto(high risk investment)? If every single coin in your wallet is heavily correlated with the bitcoin(and it is), doesn't matter how many you are holding, risk is not diversified(systematic risk is high). If bitcoin goes down, all of your coins will lose value. So you can only diversify the specific risk. Which IMO is not that high for the top, established coins. So as I said before, if the level of risk is similar I'm investing in the coins with the highest possible rate of return. That's why I said buy max. 2-3 coins and don't hold it for too long but I understand why he said he is holding everything in VNL. It makes sense and I'm doing the same thing(best risk/reward).

Ah Mister *shitcoin* Monero is back. Welcome back...at least every village needs a joker

Just call him Eduardo de HashFast, that is his most known (scammer) name.

Also no need to take Monero into this discussion, they have a hard time already if you look at the charts.

Why the volume on an exchange is going low? VNL should be on the top currency to trade better than any other crap coins in an exchange..

VNL used Bitcoin code without the required proper attribution.  That's considered stealing, even by ardent FOSS greybeards like Gmax.

Rather than apologize for his actions, John Conman tried to deflect by using tu quoque, accusing Bitcoin of stealing SSL or some such bullshit.  And he spammed this forum with duplicate posts.

VNL bragged about their 'zero-conf required on Poloniex' but then it broke and turned into a fiasco.

Even *if* VNL had decent crypto, Monero's upcoming RingCT makes it look old and obsolete.

That's why the volume is low.  Anybody who wanted this crapcoin already filled their bags and (like you) is probably nervously looking around for a greater fool to dump them on.

you keep going on on and on about copyrights for btc, instead of posting here why hasn't someone put up a case against it then. not one of the btc developers ave filed a legal case, i wonder why? maybe because they ain't got one. you might think its copyrighted but in law your opinion is not fact, so if its a big deal then put up a legal case or shutup

the fact that gmax took out time to discuss the an altcoin out of the 100s out there says something. you lot act like this is the 1st time in the history of bitcoin copright has been broken. the only reason why its being made a big deal of is because vnl is a threat to the top crypto currencies

now i have a small tiny project would anyone care if i broke copyright law on bitcoin now if google did then that would have everyone pissed why?
im not fully convinced anyway john has.

"VNL bragged about their 'zero-conf required on Poloniex' but then it broke and turned into a fiasco."

nothing was wrong with VNL, poloniex said clearly it was a issue from their side so everything you said is BS.

I quite like icebreaker's eloquence, just think it's a shame he puts it to use the way he does. If you compare his posts in here to his posts in the dash thread he's actually quite mild in his criticism of Vanillacoin. I obviously don't agree with the guy since I like Vanillacoin a lot, but at least he uses his main account instead of a shill one.
