If you can push a coin down 5-10% with 0.2BTC sells then it's nothing but manipulation in a low liquidity market.

Who is the manipulator? The person selling, or the person not buying?
You cannot sell without a buyer. Cool

If I try, the price would be zero.

I would be on the buy side then, of course.  Grin

Dear dev!
Please check for memory leaks Vanillacoin wallet for WIndows
I have version 0.3.9 installed
After 3-4 days running it allocates about 4GB memory (including pagefile) and fails with "out of memory" error

Oh, very good news, thanks

honestly in my opinion, we are leading with manipulators, btc movements affecting price, etc...

But the truth is all of this amazing features, great community, developer. etc... can't go unnoticed for long time... With big marketing campaign, and well known people in twitter, social networks, youtube videos, articles, you know... MARKETING. Vanillacoin will be BIG, i mean really BIG.

Its just a matter of time, get your positions when is cheap, don't cry later  Roll Eyes

On another note I was reading through general Vanilla talk the other day and thought this is the best way to describe the origins of VNL.

"Miner ++ Is a high performance C++11 cryptographic currency library that is not a clone of the original Satoshi codebase. It is 100% backwards compatible with Peercoin or any derived cryptographic currency.

Dark ++ (Work in progress) A framework for building or extending decentralized DarkNet applicants.

Vanilla has a strong community & cult like following for the sole Vanillacoin Developer John Connor.

The IRC chat is active & John is pretty much in there daily.

Vanilla coin also supports their own Forum (talk.vanillacoin.net) just like how BitcoinTalk started.

John Connor states that this is just the beginning and to date the Releases/Updates have not disappointed.

John has dedicated this project as a full time job 8 hours a day 7 days a week. John states Vanilla is developed by someone that has worked on every major peer-to-peer technology dating back 15 years."

Now with all that combined doesn't that remind you of a certain someone.

My research about Johns language results in the theory that John Connor is a group of hackers coming from the future just to make Vanilla as a present to human kind earlier than it was supposed to be. This will change already written history.  Cheesy

Peaky Blinder
Any thoughts on where this daily bot manipulation will take us? I'll have BTC on the sideline waiting. But obviously want to hit a bottom before gobbling it all up. We're losing about 1000 sats a week or two. So end of year ~6/7k bottom?
I have confirmed it is physical people not bots that are manipulating the price. They are taking on massive risk since the development process is private until RC's start being pushed. That said they are basing their accumulation on nothing but promises in hopes of some incoming pump. Manipulators can play musical chairs but they must wear a blindfold. I can FUD also you know. Cool

Thank you for your support.

sweet, any more news from btc38?

Yes, they can add VNL next week, next year or never. They learn how to implement the code, but it dosen't mean they will add it at all.

BTC38 is highly speculative exchange, all you can get is a big pump in short term, and what then?

It's a pity, that so well made coin is worth less than casinocoin, which has almost double value of VNL (WTF?)

I'm not blaming dev for that (unless he sold some of his coins), it's just a cryptoworld, where developers fight each other, instead of cooperate.

Did the dev contact 1ex.trade to get setup as yet? Just submit legit ID info/bank docs and boom, you're on.
I have not had a bank account whatsoever since 2008 and 1ex.trade has less than 0.25 BTC of orders. Proceed with caution. Cool

Thank you for your support.

Not that Satoshi therories again Grin

Did I say Satoshi ? Lips sealed  Cheesy

Could always be a pseudonym of a person or group Shocked

We all know who John Connor is from the Terminator movies and how it is all about computers and time rifts, etc Tongue

Do you mean that JC may actually be a group of people?

Or that "every major peer-to-peer technology dating back 15 years" is actually being developed today because he came from the future 15 years from now? Grin

Aren't most alts including VNL already "decoupled" from BTC today as they seem to retain their fiat price when BTC fluctuates?

I think it all depends on BTC movements right now, in the opposite direction. I don't think that bots can make something other than small waves on the general trend. To have a big movement we need big real buyers/sellers or manipulators. Otherwise the BTC price will just reflect the current USD price following the trend of past months.

Yes.. a decoupling from BTC would be the long term goal. Still.. keeps us cheap I guess!

The following pairs for VanillaCoin would start a revolution if mainstream adopted, pretty much in that order.

VNL/USD
VNL/EUR
VNL/CNY
VNL/AUD

Then the pairing would start against VNL with other Altcoins.

seems to me that we are at the bottom, buyers seem to be letting sells buils up than buying it back to 12k which causes a ripple effect to 15k.....  if you can buy under 10k you are getting a steal of a deal IMHO.
