Yes, you're right

It seems they are now showing vnl into their web http://btc38.com/altcoins

This is the beginning of VNL implementation in btc38.com

https://talk.vanillacoin.net/topic/259/btc38

That's not actually anything.  If you keep loading more, they show the 664 coins from coinmarketcap.  There are under 40 tradeable coins on the site.  Also, hokus_pokus is right about the url: http://btc38.com/altcoin

Changes:
Automatic Rotating Wallet Backups at startup
Coin Auto-Denomination through RPC "walletdenominate".
Improved wallet handling of keypool size changes.
Performance improvements
Bug Fixes

Denominated transaction support serves one purpose, to take an amount of coins and split them given pre-defined amounts. This can be useful for splitting coins for staking or for performing (anonymous) transaction blending.

An example of a denominated transaction is as follows: https://blockchain.vanillacoin.net/tx/8833da34252ea7f44c26b7e044c06b9c21297908044e9078fb87a82e5f6b68f6

The following builds will be updated as we move forward:

http://vanillacoin.net/downloads/Vanillacoin.0.4.0.rc1_32.zip
http://vanillacoin.net/downloads/Vanillacoin.0.4.0.rc1_64.zip
http://vanillacoin.net/downloads/Vanillacoin.0.4.0.rc1.dmg

Incentive collateral is now kept in a reserve balance so as not to be included in Proof-of-Stake.

The post has been updated accordingly.

this is the first i2p anon exchange https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/exchangedi2p-darknet-cryptocurrency-exchange-bitcoin-altcoins-fiat-stocks-1092682
They are adding some altcoins
It would be cool if someone from the dev team talk to them for they add vanilla.
They look very accessible about it for now

hey this looks like a cool innovative project, but does it have support for sock proxies? I'm not sure i can run it over tor because it uses UDP.
UDP can be safely disabled for ToR usage in config.dat. Cool

Thank you for your support.

LOL There was no hype. And it's pretty obvious that right now it's one guy manipulating, trying to get some cheap coins. That is going to end when VNL will get listed on btc38.
If people are calling this hype I don't know what you are going to say when John's 4 month timeline will be fulfilled and VNL actually be listed on btc38.
I concur as I have been watching the manipulation, it's fairly aggressive. Cool

Thank you for your support.

but I remember a couple of posts back John mentioned that he could produce a screenshot with 100,000,000

This was a response to a troll newbie account who stated he is a huge investor and who tried getting away with a bad html edited picture as a proof.

There is an emission curve in the original whitepaper: http://vanillacoin.net/papers/vanillacoin.pdf
This is somewhat outdated since rewards drop currently every 50k blocks instead of the 40k that was the original number, but it can give you the rough picture. There is somewhere a better graph, but can't find it just now.

Total amount of coins now: 11734861
From the source code:

Code:
      /**
         * The maximum coin supply is 30717658.00 over 13 years
         * Year 1: 15733333.00
         * Year 2: 23409756.00
         * Year 3: 27154646.00
         * Year 4: 28981324.00
         * Year 5: 29872224.00
         */

I don't think we will see 15.7 million by the end of the year, you just cannot measure Proof-of-Stake blocks. I think we are on track to see ~13 million instead. This is good in that incentive rewards will last for 150 years instead of only 9. Inflation will also drop quicker than estimated.

Thank you for your support.
