just look at the code...

it is easy to decipher whether VNL is a clone...  stop being such a simpleton.

Last warning: This is a clone coin.

Again, if it was a clone coin, it wouldn't be the only coin other than Bitcoin that Poloniex only requires 1 confirmation for: You can test this by going here: https://poloniex.com/public?command=returnCurrencies and searching for minconf":1," but you already knew that and the following:

If it was a clone coin, it wouldn't be the only coin with native gui interface as opposed to a qt wallet.

If it was a clone coin, it wouldn't be the only coin that gives you a random port if you don't have a config.dat

If it was a clone coin, it wouldn't be the only coin that automatically burns tx fees.

It has the staking mobile apps already, and the iOS app is already on Apple TestFlight Beta Testing.  Just pm xCore if you want an invite.

From talk.Vanillacoin.net

Due to the holiday season and taking five extra weeks to rewrite major portions of 0.4.x we must extend the timeline by 60 days, therefore we will rename it 6-month timeline and it will end around the last of March 2016.

Update regarding current outstanding items.

iOS and Android will be submitted this week. We have one darknet application already built, working and code is in Github. ChainBlender is making timely progress. The following items have been completed:

Core perfromance, scalability and security. √
Extended RPC support. √
Additional GUI features. √
Expand website content. √

Thank you for your support.

ah excellent, so basically, nothing has been done to the average persons eye.

its still the same coin it was 6 months ago nothing has changed, congrats!

and submitting to the app store hey? that old chestnut, ive heard that same sentence 40 times over the last year. never happens.

im starting to think this developer is jl777, aka master of making new projects but never completing them.

its better to have 5 completed projects than 44 projects 90% completed.

its the sole reason the price is suffering, nothing useful is actually getting done.

I think that's a bad idea imo.  People don't like moderated threads as much.  If you think bitcointalk is too toxic, people will eventually come to talk.vanillacoin.net once new features are released and when/if marketing comes.

This thread being moved to the top with 284 pages is an ad for VNL.  If it's removed, we will lose all of the traffic it generates, which is 328926 views so far (not unique).  People will eventually find their way to other forums if their interest is piqued.  It doesn't have to be 100% accurate.  The OP has a bunch of links to your github, talk.vanillacoin.net, IRC, etc. and the one your official thread is right at the top.

I don't believe censoring the thread will do any good.  Once others can understand how the features of the coin are useful, that's when they will buy.  The FUD doesn't really do anything negative to the price imo.  People here are mostly looking for a quick buck and we haven't made inroads to anyone with a lot of influence in the BTC world yet, aside from the Roger Ver like of Bitcoin Dad's tweet.
The official Vanilla(coin) project team members disagree, it's an advertisement of people talking moon and dump regarding false, inaccurate and outdated information, this thread no longer has any positives left and is a turn off for any new investor. If you are in for a "quick buck" go buy a shitclone because Vanilla is not going to give a short term gain (fact). There are plenty of other options for these types of people out there. Lastly, Roger Ver liking Bitcoin Dad's tweet is irrelevant. It was nothing more than a hype/pump situation that was short lived. Go ask Roger Ver at the bitcoin forums what he really thinks. He is open to questions (I should know), the only problem is people do not ask him but instead wait for a random tweet. This means there are no soldiers on the ground. If there is no branching out from BCT then Vanilla won't go very far adoption-wise. Cool

Thank you for your support.

Do you rally bother you, what happends on this thread. Look on ETH, did Vitalik closed BCT thread?
You don't have to post or answer on this thread.

This thread is highly inaccurate, filled with dis/misinformation, pump and dump talks and should not be used for any reason related to the official Vanilla(coin) project.

The official BCT thread is here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.13303164 where you will find links to accurate and up-to-date information. Cool

Thank you for your support.

Yeah, this is the unofficial thread.

If john is reviving his thread, maybe it can be used for serious, development talks; although, talk.vanillacoin.net is the best place for serious communication and john responds to most posts there as you can see for yourself.
This is an UNOFFICIAL thread not supported by the Vanilla(coin) project. It has become toxic and I have asked it be locked due to poor public image/first impressions. Cool

I think this forum ANN is visited a lot(just search vanillacoin in google and it's the first result) and therefore is important for a lot of newcomers(potential buyers) who can very quickly see what VNL is all about and i think Traumschiff did a great job on the first page. Very clear and simple layout. What updates are we missing on here? I read every twitter message and every official forum.

I wanted to thank MonsterZeroPrice for his tip to buy factom!Made some nice profit. Where is he by the way? In search for his precious?

And Icebreaker is lost too? To much ice?

Hopefully we see some developments that will be seen by the rest of the world. I know it's already being noticed by some coders who find the chainblender very interesting but still too little information, but maybe....

Yeah, probably 90%+ of people are introduced to VNL through bitcointalk, and it will stay that way until we want to put hundreds or thousands into aggressive marketing.  No other altcoin forum has much traffic from people who have access to bitcoin right now.

It's fine to only announce on talk.vanillacoin.net and http://forum.bitcoin.com/vanillacoin/ but this thread should be maintained and traumschiff is doing a great job!  When/if I see him on IRC again, I'll give him a tip.

When we started discussion with BTC38 daily volume was high. I highly doubt there will be any new exchanges or markets until the daily volume is able to hold steady 2-3x what it is today as well as strong support from the community in going after new markets/exchanges. I already discussed this on the official forums regarding USDT and also on other occasions regarding margin trading. If you want more exchanges the daily volume must increase because exchanges are in the money making business. This is not just fact but also common sense. I estimate we need at least 100 new investors to obtain and sustain the required volume but this will not happen until the current BTC bull run ends. Lastly if you are following this thread to be kept up to speed you may want to consider the official forums or http://forum.bitcoin.com/vanillacoin/ because nothing official gets posted here and the ANN is months outdated regarding the project. This thread has beed reduced to nothing more than speculation, rumors and weak FUD. Cool

It's not always so obvious. For example, Bitfinex delisted DASH quite recently and missed huge volumes of DASH dumps during August-October. Maybe it's some sort of political thing or some plans they have in mind which we don't know.

It's about to be added since august. Cheesy Unless you are CEO of btc38 you don't know shit. The thing with those exchanges is that they will not add a coin unless there is stable, high volume or you pay them. Truth is that you can send as many requests as you want, it's not going to make a difference.  Sad Maybe after the next updates VNL will gain some momentum and they will add it.

If you're so fucking wise, tell me why they add tagcoin, worldcoin, megacoin or digitalcoin in 2013.

..... I guess you don't know, so I gonna tell you.... trusted developer with real ideas for his coin/project.

I've already said why - high volumes(huge pumps at the end of 2013), or they simply paid them to add the coin... You can have the best, innovative coin, if no one is trading it there is no incentive for an exchange owner to list it(I'm not talking about VNL, it's just a general example) - it's that simple. Why would exchange owner waste time and money to list such a coin? I think you'll agree with that. IMO they will add it after the release of darkpp, it will bring a lot of attention to VNL.

even so the fact that john connor said btc38 are going to list vnl coin and they learning how to intergrate it is enough for me, john connor wouldn't make that statement if btc38 hadnt told him

sit back im convinced it will be added before darkpp release, why would they add it after when the volume will alot higher when darkpp releases

IMO this thing with exchanges can be observed from 2 sides, side of VNL community and side of exchanges.
For sure that community would like to see VNL trading on more exchanges cause it brings more visibility but exchange should see their interest in adding not only because od earnings but also because of marketing point cause adding VNL to exchange requires certain level of knowledge and those who can implement VNL trading could/should be trusted as competent ones. Those of us who are here from early VNL days still remember ccex fiasco, also cryptopia had some special requests which, I think, were basically search for excuse to not add VNL because of their lack of knowledge.
Basically, message to exchanges:
If you can add VNL you could be trusted. If not, you won't see me trading at your exchange.

But that was like 3 months ago? Vanilla had >100 BTC trading volumes/day back then. He even said that polo didn't want to add it to margin trading since there is low volume and it doesn't surprise me. Think what you would do as an exchange owner. Why would you add a coin with 3BTC daily vol?
